Writing article intros on Wikipedia edit

Hello, I'm Serge, an admin here on Wikipedia. I've noticed you've been altering a lot of intros (also called leads/ledes) of articles. If you intend to keep doing this, please be sure to read up at what is said at WP:LEAD, because you're doing a number of things wrong.

Of particular note, the intro/lead is only meant to summarize what is covered later on in the article. It's a summary - it's not meant to be an area where you add info not covered elsewhere. So whenever you reword or add content to the intro, you must make sure that it's also covered later in the article. There's been multiple times where I've seen you add content that isn't represented anywhere in the article. That is not okay.

I know there's a lot to learn when editing Wikipedia, and there's a chance you didn't know this. But you're making a lot of errors pretty quickly, and causing a lot of clean up work, so if you dont stop soon, your account could temporarily be blocked. So please take this to heart.

If you have questions, let me know. Thanks. Sergecross73 msg me 19:30, 4 January 2022 (UTC)Reply

Just checking in. It's unclear if you've seen this. You're still doing this some. Also, you're repeatedly making some pretty basic typos too. (It's "received" not "recieved".) Last warning. If you don't slow down and start taking this seriously, you're going to receive a temporary block. Sergecross73 msg me 00:44, 5 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for finally acknowledging and responding. I think you just need to slow down a bit and learn the website a bit. You just created your account yesterday and then went on to make 150+ edits, largely to these well-written, popular articles. It takes a while to learn the policies, guidelines, and how to write in encyclopedic tone. Meanwhile, you weren't even checking your work for basic spelling errors. I think you just need to slow down a bit. And maybe be a bit more selective with what you're rewording. Even your edits that are sticking aren't always particularly needed.
