Case Opened: Banning Policy

You recently offered a statement in a request for arbitration. The Arbitration Committee has accepted that request for arbitration and an arbitration case has been opened at Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Banning Policy. Evidence that you wish the arbitrators to consider should be added to the evidence subpage, at Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Banning Policy/Evidence. Please add your evidence by September 16, 2014, which is when the evidence phase closes. You can also contribute to the case workshop subpage, Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Banning Policy/Workshop. For a guide to the arbitration process, see Wikipedia:Arbitration/Guide to arbitration. For the Arbitration Committee, Seddon talk 12:26, 2 September 2014 (UTC)

"Users vow to continue reversions"

How do you interpret that from that diff? I added it once, that time, and said in the edit summary that if it is removed again this can go to AN/I. I also said that in the future I would, as suggested by other users at AN/I, post it in my own name I'd "taking ownership". That didn't mean I'd revert endlessly, it meant that since I am not a banned user that it should be revert-proof. Tarc (talk) 20:06, 2 September 2014 (UTC)

HHVM

Hi!

I saw your question on ANI, but didn't want to distract from the discussion about Flow. HHVM is an alternate interpreter of PHP, the language which MediaWiki is written in. HHVM is significantly faster than PHP, so the WMF and other MediaWiki developers are currently working on making sure all of MediaWiki's features are compatible with HHVM so nothing breaks when we transition over. Most of that work has been completed, so now some developers (like myself) are testing it as an opt-in alpha to really make sure nothing is broken. If you want to test it as well, you can try it out on test.wikipedia.org, which has been converted to HHVM for all users. Let me know if you have any other questions about the project! Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Banning_Policy/Evidence

Even though I am not the case clerk, as an arbitration clerk, I ask you to (1) reduce the number of diffs (generally 50 diffs allowed if not a party to case), and (2) provide some context as to why the diffs you chose are important to the case. (The diffs are supposed to have context to go with them). - Penwhale | dance in the air and follow his steps 05:14, 12 September 2014 (UTC)

@Penwhale: I thought the titles of the subsections were enough explanation, but I will update it as requested. KonveyorBelt 16:08, 12 September 2014 (UTC)

List of banned users MfD

Hi Konveyor Belt. Thanks for taking the time to comment on option 1 of the proposals for change at the list of banned users. It's clear that there's sufficient support that it will not be SNOW closed, so I've listed it at MfD - Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Wikipedia:List of banned users (6th nomination). I thought it appropriate to keep you informed. WormTT(talk) 09:49, 16 September 2014 (UTC)

Please give few minutes

Hi. Please give me few minutes to provide sources for this new article, which "is under construction"! Thanks for concern. :) -Rayabhari (talk) 18:09, 18 November 2014 (UTC)

You actually have 10 days to improve the article and add sources until it is deleted. KonveyorBelt 01:48, 19 November 2014 (UTC)
Great style of reply!! I thought I was polite. - Rayabhari (talk) 16:25, 19 November 2014 (UTC)

Arbitration clarification request closed

In response the clarification request you filed regarding the Banning Policy case, the arbitrators who commented were in agreement that the edit in question violates the remedy. advisor.js error

Hello, It seems like you're using the advisor.js script. It's causing an error when editing some pages. See this edit which changed File:E3 2010 Nintendo Media Event - Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword demo machines rise from the floor.jpg to File:E3 2010 Nintendo Media Event — Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword demo machines rise from the floor.jpg, breaking the image in the article. It seems like this script isn't being maintained any more (see the creator's talk page). Please use care when editing with this script. Thanks! - tucoxn\talk 00:44, 11 December 2014 (UTC)

JoyUnity

Dear Konveyor Belt, I'm sorry to remove such important things from List of awards and nominations received by Christina Aguilera, I just felt that the list was a little long and It could be shortened. Thank You from JoyUnity. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Joyunity (talkcontribs) 00:02, 13 December 2014 (UTC)

Indian Rights for Indian Women in Canada

I've declined your speedy request as there was invisible content present. It had been accidentally hidden by the author taking a ---> off the hidden comments - thereby commenting out the whole article. Whether or not the article is encyclopaedic is another matter. (BTW If a page is showing 12,403 bytes but not displaying, it needs investigating (which I did...).) Peridon (talk) 19:59, 15 December 2014 (UTC)

Rollback granted

Hi Konveyor Belt. After reviewing your request for rollback, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! — MusikAnimal talk 20:00, 3 February 2015 (UTC)
