Speedy deletion nomination of File:G Dragon Bean Pole.jpeg

A tag has been placed on File:G Dragon Bean Pole.jpeg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Surely you jest? The db-animal template is not intended for articles about entire animal species or taxonomy (or whatever biology/zoology terminology there is). It is for articles about an individual non-notable animal (e.g. a Wikipedian's pet). If you think some other deletion criteria (like hoax) applies, some supporting evidence is needed before this can be deleted. jni (talk) 15:52, 30 November 2013 (UTC)

Re your message to my talk: Acknowledged. No harm was done. I have already removed the deletion tag from the article (as admins closing CSD requests are entitled to do), and notified the original author of article lest he needlessly worry about his work being deleted. Hi thanks for the reply i would love to add Black Shuck 2012 film to Wikipedia but i have no idea at all how to add the title without it getting deleted. I'm losing all interest in Wikipedia or in adding/updating to the site in anyway i feel it is corrupt as it as been suggested said that i could pay a editor on here to add the film to Wikipedia how sad is that kinda takes all meaning away from anything updated on Wikipedia as money can buy anything even updated contributions. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Paul Easter (talkcontribs) 02:30, 20 February 2014 (UTC)

An ambassador certainly does not meet speedy deletion criterion. Speedy deletion is only for uncontroversial deletions. This does not include senior officials of a major nation. His significance has been asserted simply by recording the position he holds. Take to AfD if you don't think he's notable. -- Necrothesp (talk) 09:15, 6 January 2014 (UTC)

And prods are only for uncontroversial deletion too! Please do not add them unless deletion is clearly uncontroversial. -- Necrothesp (talk) 15:00, 6 January 2014 (UTC)

4Minute

Thanks for adding content and references to 4Minute. I did some copyedits to try to bring in some context, but need some help with clarifying some details such as who Mario and Amen are, and adding when they first explain the meaning of 4Minute to the History section. I removed the K-pop jargon term "debut stage" as I've seen other K-pop articles that overuse "comeback" and it makes the article look like fancruft. -AngusWOOF (talk) 17:39, 16 January 2014 (UTC)

@AngusWOOF: Hello! From what I've seen, you're doing a good job copyediting. I'll try to clarify as much as I can. First, from what I know, Mario and Amen are both relatively small kpop singers. Second, I removed the meaning of '4Minute' in the history section because I thought that the information is better placed elsewhere, probably the introduction. Fyi, the meaning behind '4Minute' is that the group will show all they can in four minutes (which is the typical length of a song). I'll add information/reference for that in the article later. Third, I think you should probably keep the date for the debut stage. The term 'comeback' is overrated, but 'debut stage' refers to the first time that the group performed on a TV station and officially marks the point when the group becomes an 'official' group. If there's anything else, please comment here. Thanks! -KJ click here 03:02, 17 January 2014 (UTC)
Thanks for adding the Naver and KBS refs for positions. The Japanese official site shut down last year so KBS should be good for reliable source. Watch out for the MTV Artists pages as those are likely to be copied from Wikipedia. -AngusWOOF (talk) 18:49, 29 January 2014 (UTC)
Yep, @AngusWOOF: I thought that the Naver and KBS would be considered more reliable than a fan site, even an official one. Thanks! -KJ click here 23:48, 29 January 2014 (UTC)

List of Model United Nations conferences

Hello Kkj, I saw your message about the Model United Nations conferences list. First of all, I am new to editing/adding things on Wikipedia so I must apologize if I have broken any rules. I wanted to add the MUN conference me and my team are currently working on. The first edition of this MUN will be in March. I didn't quite understand what is needed so that our conference may be considered from a reliable source. When I edited, I put a hyperlink leading to our website. Could you be so kind as to explain what I must do in order to add our conference to the list? Thank you!

-Razvan — Preceding unsigned comment added by RazvanChita (talkcontribs) 09:34, 2 February 2014 (UTC)

Hello @RazvanChita:, and welcome to Wikipedia. First of all, be assured that you didn't really break any rules or do anything wrong. If you have any questions about certain actions and policies, you can check out the Wikipedia:Teahouse, where you can ask questions, or you can just leave questions on other users' talk pages, like you did on mine; you can keep asking questions here.
To explain your revert, it was because there was no reliable source added. Reliable sources are 'reliable, third-party, published sources with a reputation for fact-checking and accuracy.' Because the List of Model United Nations conferences page was so filled with advertisements, there was a consensus on the talk page to provide reliable sources for adding conferences in order to prove notability, following the guideline WP:LSC.
And if the conference isn't held yet, then it shouldn't be added since it's virtually non-existent. If there are notable sources covering your event, whether it be before and after, then you can add it to the list. If you have any other questions, feel free to add comments here.
P.S. sign your talk page with 4 ~s, like this: Thanks! -KJ click here 09:48, 2 February 2014 (UTC)

speedy

As reviewing administrator, I removed your speedy tags from AmpliChip. It's descriptive, not advertising, and A7 (significance) applies to people and companies, not to products.

I also removed your speedy tag from Spartacus Educational; while perhaps a little like a press release in some of the wording, it's basically descriptive, not promotional

and also from Segesa; the national electric company of a country is certainly significant, and probably notable.

Another administrator removed your tag from Cochotte. It does not seem to be an unambiguous hoax, or a hoax at all.

Please remember that speedy a7 requires only an indication of significance or importance, which is much less than actual notability according to WP:N.

You are making too high a percentage of errors--WP relies on encouraging, not discouraging, good faith new contributors. Please stop placing deletion tags on articles until you have read and understood WP:Deletion Policy and WP:CSD DGG ( talk ) 19:34, 4 February 2014 (UTC)

I ran into three accidently deleted (and now restored) articles yesterday (Paul Teufel & Cie Photogerätebau, Kodak S-mount, Color head) which were wrongfully nominated for speedy deletion per G7, although you are not the author of these articles and have not even contributed to them. There might have been more articles wrongfully nominated for deletion by you...
I therefore must repeat DGG's request to stop placing deletion tags on articles until you have fully understood and accepted WP:Deletion Policy and WP:CSD, as otherwise your contributions must be considered as unconstructive or harmful to the project. --Matthiaspaul (talk) 14:26, 10 February 2014 (UTC)
@Matthiaspaul:, all the articles that I've requested deletion was blanked by the author, when the author was the only substantial contributor to the article. I believe that under WP:G7, pages blanked by such authors can be taken to be good-faith proposals of deletions and can be nominated, even though I might not have contributed to the articles. In this case, the administrators obviously believed that the page was notable enough to not be deleted under the CSD. However, I don't believe that my nominations were in error. If I missed anything, please add a comment. Thanks. KJ click here 22:42, 10 February 2014 (UTC)

@Arkainzdong:, for the official page, I would suggest looking for archives of the official page. Archives are acceptable for references, so you may wish to try that. But please be noted that primary sources are discouraged for information about themselves. Even if the band may not wish for that site to be active, if they have not stated so, then there is no real problems with linking to that site (until the site is taken down). Also, for a general note, your user name (Arkainzdong) and the other editor (Arkainzeye) sounds similar. Assuming good faith, I do not believe the operators of those two accounts are any way related, but just be noted that the usage of alternative accounts are heavily restricted. Thanks! AWB

Hi KJ, For AWB I like to see about 400 non automated constructive edits. These can be adding text or correcting others text. But not reverts or twinkle tagging. If you have a particular job in mind then I am happy to see you doing manual edits that show that you know how to do that job. Sometimes I see people making a lot of mistakes, so with AWB those mistakes could be made much faster. Anyway I will check between 500 to 1000 and see if you are working on what you want to automate. Swedish Landing (1630) & (Swedish Intervention in 30 years War

Hi KJ. Received your feedback regarding my deletion of Swedish Landing. I opted to move the content from the Swedish Landing Article (which I started) to the Swedish Intervention in 30 years war article. I opted mid way through writing the Article that I was going to write a history of the entire campaign that was conducted by Sweden during the period. It therefore made more sense to move it. If this concerns you don't hesitate to let me know.OranjinIII (talk) 17:15, 19 February 2014 (UTC) @OranjinIII:, it all looks good. I just assumed that it was weird since there wasn't an explanation on the talk page or the edit summary. I should have checked out the targeted article first. Just as a note, I would suggest using more than one source, but besides that, it looks fine. Thanks for your comment. KJ click here 00:13, 20 February 2014 (UTC)

 • Hey KJ. Thanks so much. I'm definitely planning on incorporating more then one source. It's definitely weak there. Also, the style that I write in is not encyclopedic at all. Pope John Paul II HS Article

Here is the duplicate article. It is the same school.

Pope John Paul II High School (Upper Providence Township, Pennsylvania)

--Cg41386 (talk) 04:02, 17 March 2014 (UTC)

@Cg41386: The articles look like two different schools with the same name. Do you have any sources saying that the schools are the same school? KJ click here 04:25, 17 March 2014 (UTC)

Upper Providence Township uses Royersford as a mailing address in parts of the township. The websites linked in both articles are the same. Not to mention the pertinent details in both articles (merger of the same two schools, opened in September 2010) are exactly the same. --Cg41386 (talk) 01:19, 18 March 2014 (UTC)

@Cg41386: Yep, the two articles Pope John Paul II High School (Upper Providence Township, Pennsylvania) and Pope John Paul II High School (Royersford, Pennsylvania) looks like they're about the same subject. It looks like the latter article was created later, so why don't you merge the content to the former one and we can nominate the other for deletion.KJ click here 01:25, 18 March 2014 (UTC)

I don't see anything in the second article that actually needs to be merged with the other one, which already has the pertinent information in it. --Cg41386 (talk) 01:27, 18 March 2014 (UTC)

@Cg41386: The infobox maybe, and the coordinates need to be changed to the correct one (whichever one that is). Just indicate in the edit summary that the information is being moved to the other article. KJ click here 01:29, 18 March 2014 (UTC)

The infoboxes are already in the first (correct) article, and I checked the coordinates in both articles, they are both correct, I'm not sure why they aren't exactly the same, though. --Cg41386 (talk) 01:33, 18 March 2014 (UTC)

@2601:e:1980:532:5d38:1b7a:d6a7:d87a: Hello and thanks for your comment on my talk page. As I've explained on your talk page, the article is a redirect because of this edit here, which shows that the editor thought that the subject did not meet WP:N guidelines enough to warrant an article. As a short explanation, subjects are given their article when there is an 'in-depth coverage by secondary, reliable sources.' Since there were apparently none, the non-notable material was removed and the page was turned to a redirect for the subject's most notable works. If you believe that there is enough material for a stand-alone article; that is, an article about the subject, than you'll have to prove that the subject meets WP:N guidelines through reliable sources by adding material to the article. However, please don't write one-sentence explanations of the article. That might actually get the article (and the redirect) deleted. If you have any comments, please don't hesitate to leave a comment on my talk page. Thanks

Huh? No the article has changed into a redirect only because it is the apparent consensus that there is not enough notability to have an article by itself. If you think that the subject should have its own article, please add material to warrant it standing as its own article. You can test-write the article by using the WP:AFC process, and get help from other editors as well. For now, I'll revert your last revert. Let's just keep the page like that until there's enough of an article to establish notability and in order to not hit the WP:3RR limit. You can leave questions or commments here. Darwiniella

I have created a draft page for Darwiniella (disambiguation), noting its meaning as a genus of fungus and a genus of barnacle. Currently, Darwiniella redirects to Stellilabium (an orchid), but I can find no connection between the two terms. --Anttrail (talk) 02:02, 22 February 2014 (UTC)anttrail

@Anttrail: If you link me to the draft page, I can provide some help. For now, let's keep the redirect until you finish the draft of the page; then, the redirect can simply be replaced with the content you've created. KJ click here 03:13, 22 February 2014 (UTC)

Cristian Portugués

Hi! Thanks for your help! I wanted to delete the page of "Cristian Portugués Manzanera", because there is another one, that was the latest, the article is about the same footballer, "Cristian Portugués". But I don't know what to do now. May I have a question? How can I upload photos to Wiki, without any illegal movements (copying you know..etc..)? Creed7 (talk) 14:57, 1 March 2014 (UTC)

@Creed7:Hello. I'm not sure exactly what you mean. Do you mean that there's another article about the same person? If there are two articles about the same person, then I suggest that you merge the content to the article with the commonly used name, and nominate the useless article with deletion under the Wikipedia:Criteria for speedy deletion categoryWP:G6. For your question about the comment, I suggest that you read Wikipedia:Image use policy. To summarize, original work under legal law can be uploaded freely, but copyrighted works have to follow the fair-use guideline. If you're not sure about a image, I suggest asking questions at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. KJ click here 14:38, 1 March 2014 (UTC)

re:Article Nacka FF

Hi I deleted the redirect as it redirected to wrong article. Since two years ago Hammarby TFF no longer exist (which that article states) but Nacka FF do and they should have their own article. My idea from the start was not to delete the article but perhaps that is the best thing to to if anone should want to create an article for Nacka FF. I used the official page of swedish football association to see all the teams in swedish divisions to see that Nacka FF plays in swedish fourth tier as you can see here. QED237 (talk) 14:58, 1 March 2014 (UTC)

@Qed237: Hello. I understand your rational, but instead of blanking the redirect page, I suggest that you bring the article for deletion at WP:RFD. If the subjects are different, and there's no material for starting a new article, than I suggest you nominate the redirect for deletion. Thanks. KJ click here 15:01, 1 March 2014 (UTC)
Okay thanks for your help. I did not think about the fact that blanking is considered request for deletion, I just wanted to remove the redirect. I will probably make a RfD later. Thanks. QED237 (talk) 15:07, 1 March 2014 (UTC)

Sir William Cattley

I think that redirecting the page Sir William Cattley to that of Orchidaceae genus Cattleya is absolutely improper. --Esculapio (talk) 16:25, 3 March 2014 (UTC)

@Esculapio: Actually, that's a really good point. I just reverted the edit since there wasn't an explanation of why the page was blanked. Since I've restored the page for now, I suggest that you either submit the article under one of the criteria for speedy deletion if it falls under one of the categories or WP:RFD for a consensual process. If you're not sure how to proceed, please leave a message on my talk page. Thanks. KJ click here 22:32, 3 March 2014 (UTC)

optical is not optional

you reverted the removal of a wrong link without reading my notes on the talk page. 184.96.30.65 (talk) 15:06, 5 March 2014 (UTC)

@184.96.30.65: I did understand that the page blanking might have been intended as a deletion request, but blanking the entire article is often discouraged. If you believed that the article should have been deleted, the required step would been putting in a deletion request. In this case, I thought that you might have wanted to establish another redirect, so I restored the page until that point. Since you established the right redirect, the article is fine for now. Please keep in mind that blanking the article is not tantamount to deleting the article. KJ click here 22:39, 5 March 2014 (UTC)

Article Lmbo

Hi KJ,

You reverted my change to article Lmbo om the grounds that "the article subject is not notable and did not meet WP:WEB".

First of all, the article was already there, but just redirected to Internet slang. And after your revert, the article is still there; it is just less helpful to the reader now.

Secondly, my take to Wikipedia is that it is about helping people learn something new and explain things they do not understand in the most helpful way possible. In this case, it was not helpful that the article just redirected to Internet slang, because, as I stated in the commit text, there was no explanation of Lmbo in the other article. I wanted to help the reader by simply explaining what it means. If someone looks up Lmbo, I am quite certain that that is what they want: An explanation.

To me it feels as if the rules are in the way in this case (if they actually mean what you believe they do). I think almost all people would say that "my" version of the article is more helpful to them than "your" version (the version you reverted to). And as I believe it is all about being helpful instead of just following rules, I believe that "my" version is the better version. Rules are only meaningful if they actually result in things being better (that is the only reason for them to exist), and to me, they quite clearly do not result in that in this case - they make things worse in this case. How can an article that just redirects to another article that does not explain what Lmbo means be better than an article that shortly and to the point explains exactly what it means and still links to the other more general article?

I believe that Wikipedia is not about following rules, but about making a useful encyclopedia. Only if the rules really make sense they should be followed. But I really cannot see the sense in this rule in this case, and I believe Wikipedia will be a tiny bit better if we do the helpful thing in this case instead of following a rule that quite clearly makes Wikipedia less helpful in this case.

--Jhertel (talk) 16:59, 8 March 2014 (UTC)

@Jhertel: I understand your take on this issue, but there's a couple of points I must note.
Firstly, you are right in assuming that rules can be ignored if the rules prevent you from making a better encyclopedia. One of the Five Pillars of Wikipedia is Ignore All Rules. Furthermore, WP:BURO also states that

While Wikipedia's written policies and guidelines should be taken seriously, they can be misused. Do not follow an overly strict interpretation of the letter of policy without consideration for the principles of policies. If the rules truly prevent you from improving the encyclopedia, ignore them

However, Wikipedia should also be about creating an encyclopedia. Due to that, policies and guidelines were created through community consensus to help the procedure to create the Wikipedia. So you're right in thinking that rules can be ignored, but only if it helps Wikipedia become a better encyclopedia.
So with that in mind, let's look at this issue. You have created this version of the article, with the idea that it helps the readers understand the term. But from Wikipedia's currently established point of view, it actually is detrimental to the goal of Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information. WP:NOTEVERYTHING reads:

In any encyclopedia, information cannot be included solely because it is true or useful. An encyclopedia article should not be a complete exposition of all possible details, but a summary of accepted knowledge regarding its subject. Verifiable and sourced statements should be treated with appropriate weight. Although there are debates about the encyclopedic merits of several classes of entries, consensus is that the following are good examples of what Wikipedia is not.

In this case, the validity of your revision falls under Wikipedia is not a dictionary. Wiktionary is recommended for definitions.
I hope that you see from my point of view. Rules and guidelines were created by consensus in the spirit of creating a better encyclopedia. The discussion about definitions have been probably made in the past, and this guideline was established as a result. In regards to this case, I believe that a dictionary definition does not make Wikipedia a better encyclopedia. If you have any additional comments or questions, feel free to leave a message.
P.S. I appreciate you commenting here for your opinion. Thanks! KJ click here 00:26, 9 March 2014 (UTC)

YOU REFUSING TO REMOVE PERSONAL INACCURATE INFORMATION WHEN I EDIT IT

You have reversed edits that I made. The edits removed PERSONAL information regarding MY identity. Including information that could be used to locate me. I removed this information because I have been subject to an assault due to this case already. There is also other inaccurate information. Stop reversing my edits or in will be required to seek formal mediation. I have no idea who you are, but I can only assume you were the one who posted this inaccurate information to begin with.

Mr.killme (talk) 00:32, 18 March 2014 (UTC)

You have reversed several of my edits where I remove my personal information from the internet. You have included information that could cause me harm, as I have already been assaulted due to the subject matter. I don't know who you are, but I assume you posted this article in question. In doing so you did several things, such as include a date of birth that was inaacurate. Not that you should even post that information to begin with.

Mr.killme (talk) 00:46, 18 March 2014 (UTC)

@Mr.killme: Let's look at what happened. In your edit here, you have blanked the article without providing a reason. I reverted the edit, and I left a message on your talk page asking about the edit and suggesting that you leave a message on my talk page. In your next edit here, you broke the section title and removed information without providing a rationale for the second time. I put the message on your talk page again, telling you about the edit. Afterwards, the reverts this and this was performed by two other users. The personal information has been removed by another user for now, but please refrain from editing articles about yourself and assume good faith. Next time, if you believe that the information should be removed, please use the talk pages to establish a consensus with other editors instead of editing the articles yourself. KJ click here 01:36, 18 March 2014 (UTC)

I will not assume good faith because some fool put false information up to begin with. The person who removed that information was me, then another HELPFUL editor reversed it, but when I told them why, they removed it again. I care little for consensus when the posted information causes me harm and endangers my life. You still have not indicated who you are or why you deem yourself to have the priviledge to assault my privacy and put up dangerous false information. Trust me, I have met people like you before. STAY AWAY FROM ME YOU SELF ENTITLED PSYCHO. Mr.killme (talk) 02:02, 18 March 2014 (UTC)

@Mr.killme: I understand why you may be upset. However, I was not the person that added the information in the first place. Although I should have been more careful with the article as well (following WP:AVOIDVICTIM), I assumed from the page blanking that the other edits were also unconstructive as they were without rationale. Next time, however, please explain your actions so that the other editors know about your intentions and please refrain from personal attacks. KJ click here 03:31, 18 March 2014 (UTC)

Trust me, you have no idea the grief this post has caused me. I just got blocked, then unblocked simply for trying to remove my personal information. Sorry for the comment, but I was at the point of suicide over this. Thankfully Ging287 helped me out. Also Elassint reversed their opinion and now agrees my edit was reasonable. I hate this site. Anyone can slander you and harrass you and there is nothing that you can do. Mr.killme (talk) 03:36, 18 March 2014 (UTC)

@Mr.killme: I understand; it's quite all right. From your talk page, I see that you have been blocked for making legal threats on Eyesore's talk page. If I may, I suggest that you retract the statement about the legal actions that you've made by putting the <s> </s> around the statement and commenting that you retract the statement. Then, if you talk to the administrator, he may be willing to remove the statement. Please be assured that no editor in Wikipedia wishes to endanger or threaten you, and that everyone attempts to follow policy, including WP:AVOIDVICTIM and WP:NOTPUBLICFIGURE, both of which supports your arguments. If you have any questions or comments about policy or Wikipedia in general, you can ask me. KJ click here 03:43, 18 March 2014 (UTC)

Change to "Chimping out" page

I thought my edit summary for the "Chimping out" page was reasonable. "Chimping out", a racist term used to refer to black people acting brutishly, redirected to the page on "Mass racial violence in the United States", implying that racial violence is form of "chimping out". This is very clearly offensive, and also implies that all racial violence is instigated by black people. Hello Kkj11210, I am the communications specialist with Contact North and I am trying to update information about Contact North and the online learning centres that once were elearnnetwork sites, and are now part of Contact North. Redirects

I saw your reverts. I'm not hard against it, but I severely doubt either subject would even garner enough material to be actual pages (which seems to be the criteria to keep an empty page with a redirect). Therefore shouldn't they be more accurate as empty pages - or deleted? While I agree that the one for Glennis Yeager is probably ok since it redirects to her husband, the page with the link for Dan Anderson (voice actor) redirects back to the same page. I thought Wiki frowned on circular redirects - I've seen many of these deleted off of pages I watch by editors more senior than myself. Reading Wikipedia:Redirect#Self-redirects, I don't think that either criteria here fit this particular link. What do you think? Yours - Ckruschke (talk) 15:39, 17 April 2014 (UTC)Ckruschke

@Ckruschke: Hello. From what I can see, it's not a circular link, but it leads to the character that the voice actor is famous for. If he's only notability is related to the character, which, apparently it is, then the redirect should be established to the character since viewers looking for information on him is likely to be looking for that TV character. KJ «Click Here» 15:44, 17 April 2014 (UTC)
Ok - I'll see if I can tighten it up a little so I'm happier with it because I still think its stupid - although I see your point and don't have a problem with it. I'll also make sure that the characters he voices on other Veggie Wiki pages have this Wiki link so (in my mind) its actually somewhat useful. Thanks for your quick response and polite tone! @Jay2kx:Hello. There's a couple of changes I might suggest. 1) Following the Music of Japan Template, you might want to create a sub-section for the record companies for the biggest groups. For Korea, that would be the 'big three,' S.M. Entertainment, YG Entertainment, and JYP Entertainment as seen in this article. As for the music charts, I would highly suggest adding the Melon Chart, and you might want to consider the Mnet Chart. I'm not too sure about the traditional music though. Also, I like what you did with the WP:KO page. KJ «Click Here» 01:25, 28 April 2014 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: Muslims of the Americas

Hello Kkj11210. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Muslims of the Americas, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Not a blatant hoax but not necessarily appropriate either - WP:RFD would be better for this. Thank you. §FreeRangeFrogcroak 03:18, 4 May 2014 (UTC)

@FreeRangeFrog: Thanks for the notice. I'll try RFD Actually it looks like the names are indeed correct, so I guess I'll just let the redirect stand. I can't find any sources that explicitly links the organizations, but the founding histories and the organizations themselves are too similar to dismiss them. KJ «Click Here» 03:56, 4 May 2014 (UTC)
Ouch! You've used a template to send a message to an experienced editor. Please review the essay Wikipedia:Don't template the regulars or maybe listen to a little advice. Redirect Muslims of the Americas

Hello Kkj11210, when I deleted the redirect, it was because as a member of Muslims of the Americas (now called The Muslims of America, Inc), I know there is no connection between "Muslims of the Americas" and "Jamaat ul Fuqra." So to have a redirect to a group which is considered and/or judged to be a terror group is alarming to me. That is not what we are. [1] is what we are. Please consider that we want to build our own page and having this redirect will not give us the opportunity to present who we are without this bias. Nmalb (talk) 17:51, 4 May 2014 (UTC)

@Nmalb: Hello, and thanks for leaving a message on my talk page. While I am aware that the organizations do sound like they are different entities, there are too many similarities to ignore. For instance, in the about page, Muslims of the Americas says that they were 'Founded in 1980 by Imam of The Muslims of America, El Sheikh Syed Mubarak Ali Shah Gilani.' This is consistent with the description of Jamaat ul Fuqra as provided by the South Asian Terrorism Portal here:

Jamaat ul-Fuqra (JF) or "community of the impoverished", a terrorist outfit operating in Pakistan and North America, was formed by a Pakistani cleric, Sheikh Mubarak Ali Gilani, in New York in 1980.

Although the two organizations may be different in name, the South Asian Terrorism Portal further states that:

JF is reportedly linked through court documents to the Muslims of Americas
In the 1990s, JF was more often than not operating under the guise of two front groups, ‘Muslims of the Americas'
Prosecuting agencies have indicated that the amount had been laundered through Professional Security International (PSI), a JF security firm, and Muslims of the Americas

The The Clarion Project also makes links for both organizations in this article. Lastly, the FBI claims that the two organizations are the same in this report in which it continually states:

Muslims of Americas, INC., A.K.A Fuqra Jamaat Al Fuqua (page 1)
Muslims of the Americas (MOA), aka Fuqra or Jamaat al Fuqua group (page 7)

So I had to conclude that the two organizations were way to related to propose the redirect for deletion. Also, please be noted that blanking the redirect is not tantamount to deletion, but that pages can only be deleted by administrators after a deletion request, usually through WP:CSD or WP:RFD for redirects. You can try bringing this up at WP:RFD, but I'll have to oppose. Thanks. KJ «Click Here» 23:54, 4 May 2014 (UTC)

China Basin Landing

China Basin Landing is a promotional article for real estate development. It is masquerading a legitimate. Deletion was intentional. It is for fishing out all the sock puppets used by the author. Good Luck, it's on it's way to deletion. meatclerk (talk) 00:44, 5 May 2014 (UTC)

@Jessemonroy650: Uh, correct me if I'm wrong, but the history of the article looks like there's disagreements about whether the article is promotional or not, and until there is a consensus to delete the article, the redirects probably shouldn't be blanked. And I doubt that the author is under any suspicion of abusing sockpuppets, so I'll have to oppose any blanking of the redirects until then. KJ «Click Here» 00:53, 5 May 2014 (UTC)

Please read the reason for removing this redirect on the talk page of TFT:

Talk:Thin-film-transistor liquid-crystal display.

Have explained my intention on May 4 before removing the redirect. In-plane-switching is a technique exclusively used for LCDs. LEDs are used as backlight of such liquid-crystal-displays, but don't have any relationship to the way information is displayed by the TFT-LCD panel.

List of cardcaptor sakura clow cards

Sorry I thought if I got rid of all the content it would be deleted. How do I delete articles I can't find it in the tutorial. Is it okay if I delete it all again and leave a note for some one to delete the entire page since it is only a redirect and I have created a actual page called list of cardcaptor sakura clow cards that is a actual list Sillycap (talk) 10:54, 10 May 2014 (UTC)

@Sillycap: First of all, you're correct in noting that blanking the articles isn't tantamount to deletions. Also, non-administrators cannot delete articles. There are three ways to delete an article: Speedy deletions, if it fits any of the criterion, Proposed Deletions, for uncontroversial deletions with a rationale, and Articles for Deletion for a community discussion. To learn about the deletion process, you may wish to refer to Guide to Deletion.
For this specific case, however, I would recommend that you leave the redirect stand. The previous list that existed, which can be seen here, was deleted through an AFD discussion on the basis that the list was created without any coverage in reliable sources, the research was primarily original research, and the cards were already described in the List of Cardcaptor Sakura episodes. If you could move beyond these concerns; that is, provide reliable sources which can describe the cards better than the already existing list, then you can just copy-and-paste the list into the existing title. Sewol disaster

Hi, this is Hubert from Canada. The reason why I did edit some parts of the text in Wikipedia about the sinking is because the information already there was inexact. I am a retired Coast Guard officer specialty in Search and rescue. The edition was only done in order to provide the most accurate picture as possible. I viewed many texts and videos in English and in French. Naturally, I can't read Korean. But I was able, because of my experience to see some mistakes. As this disaster was terrible enough, I just wanted to provide accurate information when this is possible.

Biographies of living people

Hi, I noticed you tagged quite a few of Toolen's recently created pages as unreferenced biographies of living people. If you had looked at them, you'd see they are about people who were around in the 16th and 17th centuries - there is no way these people are still alive, so the nominations for deletion on the basis of BLP were inappropriate. I've tagged them as unreferenced, as I believe they are notable as rulers of Wallachia, even if the articles are VERY slight, and advised Toolen about references. But I thought I should mention that BLP is only applicable to LIVING people - and anyone who was alive before the 19th century is definitely not living now! :) Mabalu (talk) 11:08, 21 May 2014 (UTC)

Model UN page

Hi,

There are numerous errors on the MUN page, and before explaining a number of concerns, I would appreciate the common courtesy of not deleting all of my edits. In reverting to the previous version, very basic factual errors remain. The assertion that "Model United Nation conferences are always held in the English language"(referenced)is false. When I wrote a more nuanced sentence, one that makes intuitive and logical sense, that was deleted. I was also in the process of adding links to content related to Online Model United Nations (that was originally there before it was deleted in November 2013). If you have specific concerns about particular content that has been added, then please make specific note of that and we can discuss.

I've only spent a bit of time looking at the edit history, but the page now lacks significant information. My major concerns are

1. Only UNA-USA procedures are covered. Terminology is not universal but this is now lacking from the page. Previous edits have removed historical context and development. 2. The loooooonnnnnggggg list of UN agencies does not belong on the page. These are very rarely used as committees within MUN, and they serve no purpose to list them out. It was fair to delete these. 3. Material is improperly referenced (in so far as the content in the articles in not verified or false). The community needs to clean this up. 4. While I understand the need to verify actual MUN conferences on the Conference page is important, this list in woefully incomplete. There was a reference to THIMUN on this last year, and that has totally disappeared.

I'm not overly concerned about who edited the material out, but there is much that needs to be added back. Then, some selecting editing can take place.

Just for full disclosure, I am an educator, MUN Director, founder of the Online Program, now a THIMUN partner who I work closely with. I want to ensure that this page accurately reflects the diversity of the MUN community, and I think we need to work together to rebuild that. Ljmartin12 (talk) 12:36, 23 May 2014 (UTC)

@Limartin12: First of all, I appreciate you posting on my talk page. Allow me to make a couple of points, then go over your objections and edits. Firstly, the article, as I've mentioned on the article's talk page, was that there were no reliable sources, the range was too small, the article was unorganized, and that there are too many specific examples of different MUNs. I've rewritten the page to reflect those concerns and in the process, eliminated material that was viewed as advertising or did not have WP:RS. Now let's go over your objections.

1. Only UNA-USA procedures are covered This is a point that I fully agree with. I could not find any material about any other procedures, so I could only add UNA-USA's procedure, using the sources from the UNA-USA site, which is maintained by the United Nations Foundation. Please add procedures about other styles, providing that they are reliable sourced. Previous edits have removed historical context and development This is often because the historical context and development were not reliably cited as well as being mostly advertisements that did not contribute materially to the article. 2. This is agreeable. I've only kept the list since it was present in the previous version of the article, and I didn't really have a problem in keeping or removing the list. 3. As the editor who went over the entire article, I must disagree. Every statement is referenced using in-line citations. 4. The reference to THIMUN was probably written as an advertisement as well. Please add the conference if its importance is established through secondary sources.

Now let's look at your edits, as expressed here:

 • The Hague International Model United Nations: The second reference that you've established, [2], does not give us any information about the THIMUN rules of procedure, just the fact that the conferences are different. If you wish to illustrate the differences about the specific conferences a different section might be appropriate. The first source and the sentence can be established, but that's it
 • UN4MUN: You cannot reference the entire website as a source, and the site is not adequate as a source for itself anyway. Please use a secondary source that can establish the fact
 • Languages: The statement that you keep using as an example was referenced. If you look at the source provided, [3], published by the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst German Academic Exchange Service, you would see the sentence 'The conference language is always English.' I am also aware that this is incorrect, but you cannot give a self-published sources as an example to establish this fact, seeing that there is sourced information that directly contradicts this statement. You must find a secondary and reliable source that states that there are MUN conferences which are not in English. The policy for Wikipedia is Verifiability, not Truth.
 • Online Model United Nations: You cannot possibly use a blog to reference facts (except in certain situations, which does not apply here), or the website itself. Please provide secondary, RS information for this.

With this in regard, I'm going to roll-back all the edits for now. Please add reliably sourced information, and please do not make outlinks unless it's the External Links section. Cheers. KJ «Click Here» 11:37, 24 May 2014 (UTC)

On Syngman Rhee

Hello! I think that it is cultural imperialism to denote South Koreans' name by U.S. style which writes family name back. Please add your comment to my comment in Talk:Syngman Rhee. Thank you.NiceDay (talk) 08:32, 1 June 2014 (UTC)

Kindly stop vandalising.

What you had done repeatedly with family names Alempijević et al. is vandalising. As per Category:Redirects_from_surnames redirect "MAY be used" if there is only one person with that surname but only if s/he is well known under the surname alone. And even then it does NOT HAVE to be used. In the case of football players, they are certainly not famous enough (and neither is some minor politician being tried) to be considered an exclusive representative of the surname.

Family name is a separate entry from these individual people. Family names in various languages do have separate entries. Maybe the article about Ćesarević and Alempijević needs expounding to be a decent article on a family name, but it most certainly does not need to be vandalised with effacing it and redirecting, it is a valid entry as such.

@59.41.252.228: Firstly, please WP:AGF and stop accusing me of vandalism, unless it fits the definition given in WP:VAN. Second of all, accusing me of 'vandalism' is not an adequate reason to revert the pages into a page which doesn't even fall under the category of a WP:DAB page. You quoted from Category:Redirects from surnames, so allow me to point out further quotes from the page
 • "A redirect from a surname may be used in cases where Wikipedia has only one biographical article of a person by a certain surname, or where one individual is ubiquitously known by that surname" - not, as you said, "if there is only one person with that surname but only if s/he is well known under the surname alone," but if there's one article on Wikipedia, which is a different matter.
 • "Many of these should probably be disambiguation pages." - I agree that the names may not be the exclusive representation of the surnames, but that doesn't mean that you can change the page from a non-redirect page when the page only has one valid redirect target. If you believe that there needs to be multiple redirect targets, please create a Disambiguation page, with the guidelines provided on WP:D. This is not a disambiguation page. Abramović, another Serbian surname, is a disambiguation page, because it has several entries, and it can follows your format. Apostolović, yet another Serbian surname, is a redirect page because, as far as the creator of the redirect was concerned, there was only one entry for the surname.
To sum it up, please only change the page formats when there are multiple Wikipedia entries on the same topic. I'll revert the changes in a short while, and please do not persist in changing pages to your format without good reason. KJ «Click Here» 00:16, 4 June 2014 (UTC)
kid, do you understand what the word "may" in English means? It does NOT mean "must". It means it could happen or not. It is better that it does not. Stop vandalising.
When I have time I will go through all Serbian family names that redirect to a single individual and remove that stupidity (forced redirect link) and design a brief description that eaxch of those is a family name, such as for e.g. the name "Smith" in English. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 59.41.252.228 (talk) 18:56, 18 June 2014 (UTC)

Japan Automobile Research Institute

Hi, the redirection from JARI to "Transport in Japan" doesn't make any sense to me, absolutely no information (except for a link) about it. Should be better a blank page to get the people write articles. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 143.164.102.14 (talk) 07:56, 23 June 2014 (UTC)

@143.164.102.14: It looks like JARI is getting a moderate amount of views for a redirect as seen here, so I'm inclined to keep the redirect to the most appropriate target, which is the Transport in Japan article. If you can expand the redirect into a stand-alone article, please feel free to do so, but please be noted that blanking the page is not tantamount to a deletion and that a blank page will still show up as a blue link. If you believe that the redirect should be deleted, please bring it up at WP:RFD. Thanks. KJ «Click Here» 05:16, 24 June 2014 (UTC)

American Cinema Editors Awards

This is the last time I am going to tell you: Stop vandalising and stop disturbing me

Family names are a valid article. Each family name in every language can be an article. Instead of your Serbophobic (and therefore racist, since you are apparently Korean, at least that is what you claim) vandalism edits, go and do something useful like making wiki articles for Korean family names. Most certainly do not ever again take the liberty to tell me what to do, because you have neither right nor authority to do that and your snotty and inappropriate comments are unwelcome.

Eventually, as I have already replied at the ludicrous discussion you started -- where, BTW, no one took your side -- I will create longer pages for each individual family name when I have time. They will be full articles in their own right. For now, leave the Serbian family names alone and do not input vandalism redirects to specific people. People are people and they have their own article and names are names and they have their own articles AS NAMES, not as incidental necessity for redirection.

Further your comparison with the family name "Hitler" is absolutely abhorrent, as all people who had that family name have changed it after WW II, so that family name does indeed relate to only a single person. And even so, it would still be possible to write an article about the family name as such, but it's not my interest, so I won't do it. However, writing such an article would be legitimate and such an article could exist as a wikipedia article.

On the links that you have been posting on my page (and which I am going to delete, because they are unnecessary on may talk page) it says VERY CLEARLY: "MAY" and NOT "MUST". Are you really incapable of comprehending the difference between the two? If you are, stop editing Wikipedia altogether because all your edits are likely to be violation of rules.

And, I repeat: do not come to scribble nonsense on my wall again. I have nothing to tell you that I haven't told you three times already and I do not want your inconsequential silly musings on my wall. Go away!!

Deletion should not be a problem. There is no blurb on the re-direct target (such as Tim Alderson, Michael Almanzar). The person who created the re-direct didn't add the blurb for unknown reasons. His name being listed is not a good enough reason for a re-direct.--Yankees10 23:24, 30 June 2014 (UTC)

@Yankees10: Well, I'm inclined to agree. The closest I can find in WP:POFRED is about subtopics, so it might or might not fit the bill. In any case, I don't think any of the CSD criterion is appropriate, so I suggest RfD for the process. KJ «Click Here» 23:51, 30 June 2014 (UTC)
Would it change your opinion change at all if I tell you that I am currently writing the article right now? There won't be a re-direct anymore--Yankees10 23:57, 30 June 2014 (UTC)
@Yankees10:Sounds good, but why don't we just keep the redirect until the article is finished? No sense in leaving a page blank, after all. KJ «Click Here» 00:27, 1 July 2014 (UTC)

@Yankees10: In that case, why don't you just replace the contents? You can just remove the redirect. KJ «Click Here» 00:36, 1 July 2014 (UTC)

@Yankees10: I'm sorry, but if that's the case, then I won't be able to aid you in the deletion. I won't act in further efforts to delete the article, but I highly suggest just adding the content. KJ «Click Here» 00:44, 1 July 2014 (UTC)
Don't know what the big deal is, but alright.--Yankees10 00:47, 1 July 2014 (UTC)

@Irek Minnullin: In any case, accusing actions of having a political basis is pointless. What I suggest doing is rewrite the article to demonstrate the alleged notability, using a WP:NPOV supported by WP:RS. Also, you might be accused of WP:CANVASS, so you can ask for help, but you want to avoid adding a mass of information to an unrelated user's pages, like what you did here.   Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Sinking of the MV Sewol may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
 • korea-national-psyche/ |title=Ferry disaster's toll on South Korea's national psyche |publisher=[[Turner Broadcasting System] |work=CNN |date=27 April 2014 |accessdate=3 July 2014}}</ref>
 • sewol-ferry-explainer/ |title=South Korea's Sewol ferry disaster: The challenge ahead |publisher=[[Turner Broadcasting System] |work=CNN |date=18 April 2014 |accessdate=3 July 2014}}</ref>

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 01:55, 3 July 2014 (UTC)

Thanks for the revert of my unintentional edit. I thought i had blanked a page from my sandbox which still had the original draft that I authored. In the future I will be more careful, and not have so many tabs open on my browser when cleaning out my sandboxes :-) --Educatedblkman1914 (talk) 03:31, 3 July 2014 (UTC)

Phi Eta Mu

The fraternity phi eta mu it's not phi sigma alpha. That fraternity is antagonist to ours. They use the redirect from the title of "phi eta mu" because they don't want to us have a page in Wikipedia. We exhortate that yu leave the page in blank with only the "Phi Eta Mu" title to us edit the content. Our fraternity it's the first and oldest in Puerto Rico and it's the first and oldest of its kind in America. Please leave the changes in blank and the revert the changes of another person because they (phi sigma alpha) began this changes for bad reasons. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jcastro521 (talkcontribs) 11:25, 6 July 2014 (UTC)

@Jcastro521: According to the history page, the article never had any substantial content in the first place. That said, I can't find any indication that the redirect is appropriate, besides that it was first established as a redirect, so I have to agree that the subjects are different. If you wish to delete the redirect, I suggest you bring it up at WP:RFD. A better idea is to just add substantial content yourself, following WP:CONPOL. Thanks. Recently removed content from Waldorf Astoria

Hello Kkj11210,

There certainly is a connection between the Waldorf Astoria New York and the Waldorf Astoria. However the first one is a single property, the first of its kind, while an issue about the second one should represent a whole brand (featuring dozens of properties). Please reconsider having in mind: True: Waldorf Astoria NY is Waldorf Astoria False: Waldorf Astoria is Waldorf Astoria NY

Thank you for your time! Valgetova (talk) 21:08, 8 July 2014 (UTC)

@Valgetova: In this case, it looks like the Waldorf Astoria NY is the most notable property of the Waldorf Astoria hotels, at least at the time of creating the redirect. However, the redirect may be contestable, but only if a stand-alone article is to be created at the Waldorf Astoria place, which looks possible. But please be noted that blanking the redirect is not tantamount to a deletion request, and that deletion discussions for redirects should be placed in WP:RFD. If you wish to add new material to create a new article, feel free to replace the redirect with substantial content. Thanks. KJ «Click Here» 22:20, 9 July 2014 (UTC)

Steve Frick

Deleted the redirect. The Steve Frick who played professional soccer (an old schoolmate of mine) is not the same person as the astronaut of the same name. I hope I edited it in the correct manner this time. Thanks!

50.135.204.249 (talk) 03:03, 9 July 2014 (UTC)

@50.135.204.249: Please be noted that blanking the article isn't tantamount as a deletion request. If you wish to delete the redirects, you should either nominate it under one of the criterion of WP:CSD or place the discussion at WP:RFD. In this case, I think the multiple entries on Wikipedia (if there are) would warrant a creation of a WP:DAB page. If there isn't another entry on Wikipedia with the same name, then there really won't be reason to change the current redirect. Thanks. KJ «Click Here» 22:23, 9 July 2014 (UTC)

This is the first time I have ever tried to make a correction in Wikipedia, and I must not know how to do it correctly. I apologize. It's not a big deal to me, it's not someone I know very well, I was just trying to make it accurate. I followed a link about the old Canton Invaders soccer team (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canton_Invaders#Players) for Steve Frick and it went to the page of the Astronaut of that name. They are NOT the same person. That's all. 50.135.204.249 (talk) 16:19, 2 August 2014 (UTC)

AK Plaza

Noooo! When I suggested "move" - I meant "Move" - not "cut and paste" - that's not allowed - it loses the attribution that has to be assigned to all the past editors. You can have as many draft pages as you like in your user space so...

 1. Article is properly moved to User:Kkj11210/AK Plaza
 2. User:Kkj11210/sandbox restored to eliminate the "cut and paste"

You now have two draft articles :-) Ronhjones  (Talk) 20:16, 10 July 2014 (UTC)

@Ronhjones: Ah, sorry about that. I just assumed that the article might be deleted in the near future, so I cut-and-pasted it. Sorry. KJ «Click Here» 21:57, 10 July 2014 (UTC)
No problem. Most things are reversible. Best to sort it out now than later, where it would take more effort. Ronhjones  (Talk) 23:01, 10 July 2014 (UTC)

Regarding Fleurop page redirection

Fleurop's wikipedia page is redirected to Interflora. I need your help so that I can remove the redirection and post the information about Fleurop. Please help!

You don't really need an admin for that - but since I'm here anyway...
As far as I can tell, "Fleurop" is a trading name of Interflora, so the redirect is probably correct - information about Fleurop should be added to the Interflora article, rather than as a standalone. However, from a purely technical standpoint, if you search for "Fleurop" in the Search bar, you'll be taken to the Interflora page with a small link just below the title saying Redirected from Fleurop. Click on the link there, and you'll be taken to the redirect page, which you can edit like any other article - just remove the text saying #REDIRECT Interflora and the page becomes directly accessible again. How can I edit protected pages? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cuampatuan (talkcontribs) 17:34, 12 July 2014 (UTC)

@Cuampatuan: It depends on the level of protection. Full protected pages can only be edited by administrators, so it's better making an edit request on the talk page. Semi-protected pages can be edited by any autoconfirmed users, or an edit request can be made on the talk page. For more information, you may wish to see WP:PP

Talk:BRP Alberto Navarette (PG-394)

The only thing I was trying to do was get the name of the article corrected because of another editors mistake in naming the article. I do not understand all of the mechanisms for doing this and any editing that I did was IN GOOD FAITH. I DO NOT wish for the article the be nominated for deletion as it is now named properly. Please remove the REDIRECT

you removed a redirect on the page called The Longford Trust. I thought the best way to move the Draft Article to the Main Space was to remove the redirect and rename the Draft or move it. Please help: it will all make sense if you just took a minute to look, rather than just freak out as there has been a deletion. Or maybe you are just a bot? Psychetube 21:57, 23 July 2014 (UTC)

@Psychetube: If you want to move a draft into namespace (which, I'm assuming is Draft:The Longford Trust), removing the redirect wouldn't do anything. If you wish to go through the AfC procedure, you should wait until your draft is accepted, then just copy-and-paste your draft into the proper name. Blanking the redirect would just leave an empty page with no purpose. As for accusing me of being a bot, well... KJ Discuss? 23:34, 23 July 2014 (UTC)

Happy you are not electronic knee-jerk, but a human. I was loathe to use Copy and Paste as it seemed to be verboten throughout the Pedia. But I am undergoing a rewrite for credibility purpses and will take it from there. Thank you anyway.
