Please do not remove the non-free image template from infoboxes

Kante, please do not remove the NFCC warning template from the image parameter of infoboxes. This belongs in the unused image parameters for all BLPs. I have explained this to you previously in edit summaries, and I am now taking the trouble of leaving this message on your talk page, so there is no further misunderstanding. Draft Year field in infobox

Please do not remove this from articles. If a player was eligible for a given draft and not drafted, having this field filled in with the year indicates that they were undrafted. I have re-added this to some players who participated in the 2014 World Cup. Thanks. Rikster2 (talk) 12:29, 9 September 2014 (UTC)

Turkey women's national football team

Hi! You've removed historical entries from the list in the section of "Official competitions" at the article Turkey women's national football team with the comment "no need for every resuls, last year is enough". Do you have a rational for your edit supported by any WP rule, or is it your POV? Just curious? Because, otherwise I intend to restore the list. Thanks. --CeeGee 20:17, 19 September 2014 (UTC)

Move chaos

Hi, I saw we moved {{La Liga 2014-15}} at the same time (look at this edithistory). You moved it to a page with correct dash {{La Liga 2014–15}} and I to the page were I believe it should be {{2014–15 La Liga table}} as per naming conventions for all of the other tables. Now it seems as the page can not be moved again and I saw info not to move by copy and paste text so what to do now? QED237 (talk) 15:35, 25 September 2014 (UTC)

Well we have {{2014–15 Premier League table}}, {{2014 Allsvenskan table}}, {{2014–15 Football League One table}}, {{2013–14 Fußball-Bundesliga table}}, {{2014–15 Eredivisie table}}, and so on, so it should be {{2014–15 La Liga table}}. I will either take it to requested moves or simply contact an admin (as the info said) such as GiantSnowman which may be able to help sort this mess with a lot of redirect pages. Removing maintenance templates

Hi, please do not remove maintenance templates such as "one source" from articles, when the issues have not been resolved, as you did here and here and also here. Since you have an interest in basketball I would encourage you to add additional sources to such articles. Thank you. C679 08:37, 14 October 2014 (UTC)

England under-21s

Hi. In the interest of preventing an edit war, I thought I should come over here and explain my perspective on the fixtures on this page. As I'm sure you're aware, under-21 teams operate on a two-year cycle, currently running from summer 2013 to summer 2015. Competitive fixtures during that period are part of the same tournament, and the eligible group of players remains the same throughout. As such, imposing an 12-month limit on fixtures is arbitrary and unnecessary given that there is a natural limit on how large the section can grow. However, if you want to delete ALL of the qualifying group games, just leaving the final table and the grid of results for that section, then I won't object. That is at least consistent, and people can still click through to get the details of the games. I would say that the title of the section should read "2013–15" though, not just "2015", since the section incorporates fixtures/tables/results from the whole time period. Hopefully that's an acceptable compromise? Clicriffhard (talk) 18:36, 14 October 2014 (UTC)

Alright cool, and sorry that I forgot to reinstate your other edits. For what it's worth, I've deleted that whole set of game details because I guess it does make sense now that the group is over. Clicriffhard (talk) 18:56, 14 October 2014 (UTC)

Hi Kante4, I want to ask why the topscorer list for the article should also have the players that have 3 goals but without showing their names? For me it seems like its the same with deleting them from the table. MbahGondrong (talk) 22:41, 21 October 2014 (UTC)

I'm still following this and KSA announced the 18-man roster here but there is a problem, even though the title says 18, but I see only 17 players in this list makes it almost useless but still I thought it doesn't hurt to tell you that. from 21-man list players number 4 (Taweel), 18 (Mutairi), 20 (Taruti) and 21 (Abdulali) are out, (obviously one of them is still in the list though). Mohsen1248 (talk) 23:18, 6 January 2015 (UTC)
Thanks. Any info about qatar? Kante4 (talk) 04:39, 7 January 2015 (UTC)
Nothing yet, no update on their federation website and I have no idea where else to check. Mohsen1248 (talk) 15:11, 7 January 2015 (UTC)
Yeah, i did check aswell at some sites/google but nothing (not that they use "their" players anyway). But thanks again. 15:34, 7 January 2015 (UTC)

You might not have been aware, but dead links used as citations typically should not be removed simply because they are not currently working, such with your recent edit at Chandler Parsons. They can usually be repaired or replaced. See the subsequent edit by another user that replaced the dead link with a different working source that verified the statement. Alternatively, an archive service like http://archive.org had an archived version of the dead link. You can refer to WP:DEADREF for future guidance on dealing with dead links. handball final ranking

Hey according to the rules in the media guide egypt can still finish below austria but no one else can (egy- 1 point -7 with 74 goals, aut 1 point -7 with 86 goals, arg 1 point -6). Before saving I checked and it looks like you said Iceland could finish below, but they have 3 points against knockout round teams. If I am missing something obvious I apologize.18abruce (talk) 20:15, 25 January 2015 (UTC)

No, it says that to rank 9-16 you use the games played against teams ranked 1-4 in their group. That is how Tunisia gained a ranking of 11th in 2013.18abruce (talk) 20:21, 25 January 2015 (UTC)
No worries, I was completely baffled by Tunisia in 2013 so I went looking about an hour ago for an explanation. I put a note on the talk page so instead of arguing you (we?) can just direct people there.18abruce (talk) 20:29, 25 January 2015 (UTC)

IIHF

Makes no difference to me whether the first initial is used or not. I think that is what you did in the Japan/Czech woman's playoff and it seems fine.18abruce (talk) 22:10, 7 February 2015 (UTC)

I have never seen the value of the stats on the roster pages, it is pretty rare that I contribute to those pages unless they are historical and missing information. I would suggest something that I found effective on the junior pages in December: when (or if) you are doing live updates, don't put in the total score at all until the game is final, the edits remain hidden and there was a lot less "drive by" edits to deal with. It seemed much easier to me.18abruce (talk) 18:58, 6 March 2015 (UTC)

About your (non)participation in the January 2012 SOPA vote

Hi Kante4. I am Piotr Konieczny (User:Piotrus), you may know me as an active content creator (see my userpage), but I am also a professional researcher of Wikipedia. Recently I published a paper (downloadable here) on reasons editors participated in Wikipedia's biggest vote to date (January 2012 WP:SOPA). I am now developing a supplementary paper, which analyzes why many editors did not take part in that vote. Which is where you come in :) You are a highly active Wikipedian (100th), and you were active back during the January 2012 discussion/voting for the SOPA, yet you did not chose to participate in said vote. I'd appreciate it if you could tell me why was that so? For your convenience, I prepared a short survey at meta, which should not take more than a minute of your time. I would dearly appreciate you taking this minute; not only as a Wikipedia researcher but as a fellow content creator and concerned member of the community (I believe your answers may help us eventually improve our policies and thus, the project's governance). PS. If you chose to reply here (on your userpage), please WP:ECHO me. Thank you! --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 01:15, 13 February 2015 (UTC)

2015 UCI Road World Championships

Hi Kante4, great work on all the articles of the 2015 UCI Road World Championships! Today I started creating all the country pages of the championships. If you update the results section of the events, and it's not much extra work for you, could you please put in the template before the 3 letter nation code "flagUCITrack|", so for instance {{flagUCITrack|NED}}, which will give on these pages:   Netherlands? If it's not easy for you to do, no worries, I'll do them later all mannualy. Regards, Sander.v.Ginkel (Je suis Charlie) 15:06, 18 February 2015 (UTC)

Danilo Luiz da Silva

Hi there KANTE, (former) ALWAYSLEARNING here,

I really don't understand the attitude of some teams (not only Real Madrid, also Barcelona, Chelsea (has TWO English players in the ENTIRE squad!!), City, PSG, in my country Benfica and Porto, etc), spending, spending and more spending... Is Daniel Carvajal really that bad? He is not worse than Míchel Salgado, who held his own in a team full of big names for one decade. What is your opinion? Of course, the deal has not been finalized yet, only a (big) rumour so far.

All the best, happy weekend --84.90.219.128 (talk) 14:46, 6 March 2015 (UTC)

Assists

I just noticed that you've reverted my edit in the Isco article, and cited WP: Footy as the reason. So I checked out the Archive, and saw a discussion 'Assists', and most of the Wikipedians (including you) agreed that if the data is provided by the League itself, it can be included, but for admin GiantSnowman. So, if I cite League Statistics, would it be accepted? One of the reasons GiantSnowman said that Assists shouldn't be included was there wasn't a definition what is assist and what isn't. But there are also some controversial goals like Kaká scored a deflected free kick against NYCFC, which looked an own goal to some. And Xavi scored a goal in the Euro 2008 Qualifiers which went in via the foot of Iniesta, which UEFA initially gave to Xavi, but later credited it to Iniesta. And of course that Cristiano Ronaldo goal which was credited to Pepe by UEFA and to Ronaldo by Marca.

Question about qualification table

Hello! You've ever told me about using "finalists" in 2015 Woman Handball World Championship page. How about round-robin competition? In this page 2014 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship qualification Japan and Thailand qualified at 7 Sep, but winner and runner-up I think it should be 8 Sep. If this page show qualification date is 7 sep, the title should be finalists or something like this. What's your opinion?Noncommittalp (talk) 23:14, 30 March 2015 (UTC)

DFB-Pokal Final

Hello Kante4. I had a quick question about the DFB-Pokal final. How do they determine the order of the finalists listed (i.e. Bayern v Dortmund from last year) since it is at a neutral venue? Is it the first semifinal winner first (i.e. winner from April 28 this year), and then the second (i.e. winner from April 29 this year)? Or is there some other way? Thanks. names

I understand what you saying, I am so slow editing to begin with that I usually get frustrated trying to get them all. Did get the Czech names right today though! I will try your suggestion with google though, I had not thought of doing that. It is very unusual (here in Canada) to use accents of any kind on names, even on French names that should have them. My daughter speaks french fluently and tries to help me sometimes.18abruce (talk) 14:59, 16 April 2015 (UTC)

Well he's from Toronto, Canada, I remember him playing for St. Mike's. IIHF participation tables

Hi, I just wanted to see if you would be able to lend a hand. I've long planned to reorganize each country's WC plain-text list participation into a nice-looking table, and I did that as a test case with Serbia. For me, it's always confusing (and interesting) how a team is promoted and relegated, and right now there's no simple way to see it. The table's been around a year or two now, so I think people wouldn't mind this format. But I would love to find a resource with each country's participation data easily at hand to quickly plug into the template. Do you know where I would find that? I also came up with this color-code to highlight the promotion/relegation more clearly, and I think it would look good if implemented for all such tables:

Key:  Top Division   Division I   Division II   Division III

What do you think? Jmj713 (talk) 20:09, 14 May 2015 (UTC)

Yes, that's what I'm after, consistency and legibility. If you have some time and willingness, I would love some help with this project, it's been on my mind for a long time. Jmj713 (talk) 20:28, 14 May 2015 (UTC)
