Your sandbox article

edit

Please do not attempt to add this article you've written to Wikipedia; Wikipedia is not a product comparison site nor a promotional vehicle. OhNoitsJamie Talk 17:24, 14 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

I got rid of the pros and cons lists. I am not trying to compare or use this to promote anything, I am just trying to shed light on different tools that can be used for the same purpose.

I've moved the article to draftspace: Draft:Caring_for_Elders_through_Fall_Detection. I suggest you go through the AFC process. Do not move the article back into mainspace until it's been reviewed and refactored; as is, it's not appropriate for Wikipedia.OhNoitsJamie Talk 21:17, 14 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

You can't move the article to User:Caring for Elders through Fall Detection; that's a userpage for a user that doesn't exist. OhNoitsJamie Talk 21:28, 14 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

I am trying to move it back to my sandbox

I also have a question, is the reason I am unable to publish because of the four paragraphs that cover the different fall detection devices?

I made some more changes so is it possible for you to take a look and tell me what else I might need to change.(I kept information about the four fall detection devices, but I got rid of the cost section)

I made some edits and I will be moving my draft back to the mainspace. So if there is anything I need to change, please inform me.

Do not move your draft back to mainspace unless you have someone review it. Being blocked from editing may make it difficult for you to do your schoolwork. Wikipedia isn't a product comparison site. Your article in it's current state reads like a product comparison article. As I said before, given that you are new to this, you'll want to go through the WP:AFC process. OhNoitsJamie Talk 22:37, 14 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

I sent a link to my teacher to review my work, can you also take a look?

I don't do article reviews. There are plenty of people at WP:AFC who do. It's not enough for your teacher to review the work. Also note that we already have Falls in older adults. OhNoitsJamie Talk 23:10, 14 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
To submit it to AFC, add this to the top of the draft page:
{{subst:AfC submission/submit|JoshGanesh}}
That will put it in the queue to be reviewed. OhNoitsJamie Talk 00:53, 15 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

I took a look at the falls in older people article, but nowhere does it talk about IoT/fall detection deceives

My focus is not on elderly care as a whole, my article is how technology can be used to help elderly people. The article that you sent me talks about the different causes of a fall, my articles primary goal is to address how that can be stopped through the use of technology.

I am going to move my draft to the main space. Will it get taken down again or is it good to go.

While I don't regularly review articles I can tell you given the current title and state of the article, there's very little chance it will be accepted. This would make a fine blog post, but it's not appropriate for Wikipedia for a number of reasons: (1) Its reads like a how-to guide guide, which is against policy; (2) it uses an informal tone that doesn't read like an encyclopedic voice; i.e., addressing the reader as "you," etc. (3) It's US-centric ("call 911") (4) the sourcing is spotty; you'll need a lot more references. (5) We already have two articles that cover different dimensions of this topic: Fall prevention and Falls in older adults. I think your time would be better spent trying to expand (with sources) either or both of those articles, while avoiding anything that reads like a product review or endorsement. Speedy deletion nomination of Technology Adoption towards Fall Prevention

A tag has been placed on Technology Adoption towards Fall Prevention requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/frobt.2020.00071/full, https://hitconsultant.net/2020/12/23/iot-monitor-elderly/, and https://www.safehome.org/medical-alert-systems/best/fall-detection/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. YODADICAE👽 22:26, 16 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Final warning

You may be blocked from editing if you post any more copyright violations, or try to recreate a similar article in the mainspace that hasn't been approved. OhNoitsJamie Talk 22:45, 16 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

I understand, I got rid of all my copy right violations and I am not truing to recreate a similar article. Can you move it back to a draft so that I can make the nessecary changes so that I dont get flagged for coypright violations anymore.

Ohnoitsjamie it appears they are unable to follow directions[1]. YODADICAE👽 23:47, 16 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
No, I'm not moving it back to draft. I gave you pretty clear instructions not to move it to mainspace until it was reviewed, which you chose to disregard. OhNoitsJamie Talk 23:50, 16 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

You never mentioned that I violated the copy right. Please give me one more chance to make this right. I really need this grade. I will thoroughly review and make the changes that need to be made. Please just give me one last chance. I will not move it to the main space again without having checked it. Please just give me one more opportunity to make this right.

I even made an appeal to get it undeleted, because I told them that I will fix my mistakes. Please just give me one more chance

Hello, can you please undelete it. Trust me, this time I will not disobey you. Please just let me make this right.

Technology Adoption towards Fall Prevention moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Technology Adoption towards Fall Prevention, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Liz Read! Talk! 06:30, 17 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Josh, this article should not be moved to main space. If you do so again, it will be deleted, again. Submit it to Articles for Creation so that it can be reviewed by experienced editors. What happened to I will not move it to the main space again without having checked it? Your words ring hollow at this point after all of the time that editors have spent trying to help you. If you move this to the main space again, I think you will be blocked from editing. Liz Read! Talk! 06:31, 17 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
