Photos of racial diversity

The problem with the photos of racial diversity is that the white guy is not white, the afromexican is not africa, the amerindian is not amerindia, in the girls the maerindian is not amerindian, the afromexican is not africa, the photo is wrong that is the problem. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mexxxicano (talk • contribs)

I see, I have read the new discussion in the talk page. I actually know nothing about the racial differences in Mexico, only that in my opinion a photo correctly illustrating this would be fine, of course if it has the adequate quality. On the other hand, these things are usually conflictive topics, so before uploading a new image it should be debated in the talk page.

Hydrogen atom and Hydrogen-like atom

Hello John. I came across some IP edits to Hydrogen atom and Hydrogen-like atom that seemed to be questionable modifications of the wavefunction equation. I have reverted the edits, but I have little experience in this area and I was perplexed by some apparent contradictions in various equations on the web...therefore, I am looking for a second opinion. I noticed that you may have dealt with a similar issue in an older version of Hydrogen atom in December 2005. I thought you might be able to provide some insight into this issue. Hello, I have answered in the talk page, I hope it helps! Also, I have been trying to do some cleanup to the Hydrogen-like atom article, but I think that more than a cleanup it needs to be rewritten. What I would prefer is to remove the derivation of the classical wavefunction, and list and comment some results for the energy, such as the fine structure correction and the isotopic displacement, which I think are far more important for an encyclopedia. Hi John. Thank you very much for clarifying this issue. I appreciate your quick and helpful response, as I was getting pretty confused. In regard to the Hydrogen-like atom article, the additions you mention would no doubt be beneficial. Personally, I am probably a little more skeptical about removing material (in my opinion, space is not really an issue). However, you and other editors are probably much more familiar with the material (and have probably spent much more time on the article, as well), so I would not be opposed to anything you and any other editors decide on. By the way, I noticed that after your recent edits to Hydrogen-like atom, Z is no longer present in the wavefunction equation (and ρ does not seem to be defined). I would think that charge would affect the wavefunction since the nucleus is not necessarily just a proton.--GregRM 02:08, 30 January 2007 (UTC)
