That section is pretty non-NPOV looking... though. I see why you deleted it, but perhaps you can use an edit summary next time? Sifaka ^talk 05:50, 5 May 2006 (UTC)

I've just reverted your removal of the section mentioning the Zimmerman Telegram, you removed it without comment, and I'm not sure why as you diddn't make an edit summary, or make a comment on the talk page. The telegram certainly existed, although possible it might be more relvant in another article. David Underdown 12:40, 12 May 2006 (UTC)

Mexxxicano, I'd really appreciate it if you could remove the "socialist" tendencies label by the PRD party, on the same page. The PRD isn't anymore "socialist" than the Democratic Party in the US. Just becausee FoxNews and the PAN label something does not make it true. I would make the changes myself, but, for whatever reasons, you need to be registered. Thanks. I will eventually do the reorganization of the culture-related sections that I described on Talk:Mexico. I've been waiting to see if anybody objects.

Regarding "Crime and poverty"... I respectfully disagree. I fully respect your right to say what you wrote. Many people have beliefs along those lines. I don't.

Me personally, I don't think poverty is the root cause of crime. It may be that certain kinds of crime are more prevalent among poor people but maybe that's because rich people are better equipped to commit crime non-violently and also better equipped to escape capture and/or punishment.

I believe that most poor people are honest and therefore poverty does not cause crime. I think poverty creates an environment where crime can happen but criminals are criminals because they want to be not because they are poor. I think it is a myth to say that poor people become criminals because they are poor.

I think external conditions such as drugs, urban gang culture, etc. are a major influence on people becoming criminals. Admittedly, it is harder to resist these influences when you are poor. However, poverty does not by itself cause crime.

Look at the Crime in Mexico article. There is hardly a word about poverty in it. You may think that's wrong. That's your right. However, I hope you will recognize that there is more than one philosophical opinion about the nature and causes of crime in poor areas.

Twilight Zone

On the talk page of one of the episodes of the Twilight Zone (namely, Living Doll), there is a comment which is attributed to you, which is odd because I made that comment (though I didn't sign and I had no account at the time). Not that I'm upset, but how did that happen? James Jonathan
