Student Page edit

Hi! thanks, and i really like your topic as well! I'm really interested in advertising in general but I can't wait to see the finished product of advertising to college students in terms of alcoholic products--interesting!GirlWithTheMostCake (talk) 01:13, 14 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for adding yourself to the Student page! Debaser42 (talk) 16:36, 11 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hi Im Derek and Im in your Comm 375 class. Krimsonshadow (talk) 02:47, 15 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alcohol_advertising - I would like to focus more on target marketing of alcohol ads in the US. Jns521 (talk) 17:53, 15 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advertising_to_children - This would be interesting to write about because as adults, we watching adult television so all the ads on television are targeted toward adults so it would be a change of perspective to look into how advertising for young children works. Jns521 (talk) 18:01, 15 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dove_Beauties- I would focus this topic on the type of women that the advertisers particularly choose for the Dove Campaign and the role of women in those ads. Jns521 (talk) 18:01, 15 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brand_identity- I would look at the building brand identity aspect of this project, if I were to do this. I focus on the importance of it for advertisers. Jns521 (talk) 01:41, 16 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Project Links edit

You've got some good links, but move them to your user page rather than your talk page. All of your ideas look promising, specifically target marketing in Alcohol ads. You can definitely find a lot of research on that. Check out scholar.google.com to find some academic research to help pare down your topic. Debaser42 (talk) 23:56, 16 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Links edit

Hey - I noticed you were just pasting links in rather than referencing them in Wikicode. This might be a good opportunity to check out the resources that are on the page on Wikicode for links and bold - link a page by using double brackets like this: [[pokemon]]. Feedback edit

Hello Jns521. I reviewed your edits to Alcohol advertising and found that you followed the best recommended practices for your inclusion. Most improvement is aesthetic in nature and involves interlinking relevant terms, as Zach has pointed out above. Another area to improve is to include more information with your reference than merely a URL. URL's are prone to link rot and including additional information, like the author, title, publisher, and date can assist in recovering a reference if and when the URL may expire. The reflinks tool can automate this task for you, and is a recommended additional step beyond bare URL's. Mostly your edit was very good, and following the example you set in your edit will generally have positive results as you endeavor further in your efforts. Good job. Hey! edit

Here is the link to the general ambassador program that I was telling you about the other day. If you are interested, the links for each type of ambassador lead to the process with which you could use to apply. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask, and if I do not respond within a few days, feel free to leave a note on my talk page. Kevin Rutherford (talk) 02:53, 10 December 2011 (UTC)Reply
