A tag has been placed on Crystal Insights, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Wikidudeman (talk) 21:21, 29 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

stargate horizons

edit

Hi. Be sure to give info about why this subject is notable (enough for wikipedia). It should not read simply like an ad for the program. Are you associated with it? Good luck. HG | Talk 11:10, 30 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hi again. You might look at WP:Notability and some of the welcome info I've placed above. Before you spend much time on the article, you may want to see if the episodes/program show up in any verifiable news articles or otherwise can be shown to be important. Another idea is to look at similar programs in this category and see how those articles are done (I don't know the category, sorry). (Follow the links given here.) Good luck. Hi. I have concerns about the article above. On checking, 'Stargate Horizon' appears to be a fanfiction website/project. However, the article you've created gives the impression (despite a couple of 'disclaimer' sentences) that its a real TV show. As a website, its quite likely that 'Stargate Horizon' doesn't meet the requirements of WP:WEB. Could you have a read of those criteria, and if you disagree, use the 'hangon' tag as per the template above? It would also help to rewrite the introduction to make it clear that its fanfiction, and not use the TV infobox. Regards, BastunBaStun not BaTsun 14:41, 30 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

I've put a temporary hold (aka "hangon") for the article. You may want to try to get in touch with folks with the wikiproject Stargate (here: Wikipedia:WikiProject_Stargate to see if they would agree about keeping the article. Meanwhile, maybe you'll enjoy working on other articles. Good luck. HG | Talk 14:52, 30 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Plasticdogs

edit

A tag has been placed on Plasticdogs requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. L. Removing Speedy at Plasticdogs

edit

Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles you created, as you did with Plasticdogs. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please do the following:

  1. Place {{hangon}} on the page. Please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag(s).
  2. Make your case on the article's talk page.

Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 18:55, 12 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hi. When you recently edited Hop Farm Festival, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages George Clinton and Ian Hunter (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
