Request reason:

I think I have been mistaken for another person who has a computer in my network, Leijurv, whose shenanigans I have no ties to.

Decline reason:

The quoted checkuser information shows you as having not less than nine accounts. Any future unblock request should address this. --Anthony Bradbury"talk" 23:14, 20 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

May I please be unblocked?

Thanks, Ignazsemmelweis (talk) 21:45, 20 March 2018 (UTC)IgnazsemmelweisReply

PhilKnight, merely looking at the contributions it seemed plausible to me that this may be some school computer to which multiple people have access. I assume there's something in the CheckUser data that makes such an explanation implausible? There's no overlap in edited articles between this account and Leijurv or any of the other blocked accounts associated with the SPI. Huon (talk) 22:55, 20 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
Maybe I was too hasty. I've self reverted. PhilKnight (talk) 23:01, 20 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
I am not a checkuser, as PhilKnight knows. But the checkuser who placed the block is one of out most competent, and is unlikely to be wrong.--Anthony Bradbury"talk" 23:17, 20 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
I don't doubt that all those accounts are technically indistinguishable. "School computer" (or "school computer network") seems a plausible explanation, particularly in light of the contributions, for how they're still not all operated by the same person. Bbb23, can you please comment on whether there was something in the technical data that makes this explanation unlikely? Huon (talk) 23:24, 20 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
  • Ignazsemmelweis, could you please clarify a couple of things? First, when you say that you are not tied to Leijurv's shenanigans, do you mean you know who him personally, or are you just denying that the Leijurv account is operated by you? Second, does the network you're using belong to a school? If so, what school, and what IP is owned by the school? Thanks.--Bbb23 (talk) 00:26, 21 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

Bbb23, I have only made minor edits to pages through my school computer, which is owned by the school. I know Leijurv vaguely, as we go to the same school, but have no idea what he does and why he was banned from Wikipedia. I'm hesitant to give you my school name for privacy reasons, and I'm not sure what my IP address is. (I am not adept at technological things in general.) Thanks for your help. If you have any more questions regarding this, please don't hesitate to ask! :)

I did a little more digging, Ignazsemmelweis, and determined that you are probably telling the truth. I have therefore unblocked you. Good luck editing Wikipedia.--Bbb23 (talk) 13:06, 21 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

Bbb23, thank you so much! Ignazsemmelweis (talk) 15:53, 21 March 2018 (UTC)IgnazsemmelweisReply

Request reason:

My computer and I belong to a school, so my edits may happen from a computer which has records of other accounts. Please look at my edit history and reconsider this block, because I haven't broken any of the Wikipedia rules. Thanks for your help.
