This is a WARNING that your edits regarding The Incredible Hulk (film) are becoming disruptive. In the short time you have been here, the only thing you have done is to try to get that article to say that Edward Norton portrays the Hulk as well as Banner. You have made 40 or 50 edits about that, but all of your attempts to provide evidence have failed. None of your sources actually say that Norton portrayed the Hulk. You have exhausted Wikipedia’s patience on this topic. You need to drop this subject and find some other article to edit and some other way to improve the encyclopedia. If you persist, there is likely to be some action taken to make you stop. -- MelanieN (talk) 19:24, 4 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

I'll keep searching for that topic www.awn.com/vfxworld/incredible-hulk-back-basics Hhggtg3279 (talk) 23:16, 4 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Spider-Man: Far From Home

edit

"MJ" in Spider-Man: Far From Home is not Mary Jane Watson. Stop changing it, please. --Mazewaxie 16:49, 28 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

"MJ" is not Michelle Jones either. Stop changing that please. The MJ in the MCU is an original character, like Phil Coulson. --Mazewaxie 12:37, 15 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

No she is a combination of Michelle Gonzales and Mary Jane read the references please https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=WJ2cDwAAQBAJ&pg=PA49&redir_esc=y#v=onepage&q&f=false

See the official movie noval even says Michelle is based on Mary Jane

She is based on various character but she's not Mary Jane Watson or Michelle Gonzales. Kevin Feige explicitly said: "In setting up this will be a very different thing, she's not Mary Jane Watson, that's not who the character is. [...] But giving her the initials that remind you of that dynamic certainly is intriguing about what could go forward." --Mazewaxie 13:02, 15 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

That's an old post and anyone if you check your the references you will see that they are setting her up a Mary Jane, all of these confirm her taking up the role of Mary Jane.

https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=WJ2cDwAAQBAJ&pg=PA49&redir_esc=y#v=onepage&q&f=false https://comicbook.com/marvel/2019/02/16/spider-man-far-from-home-mj-weapon-mace-funko-pop/ https://comicbook.com/marvel/2019/06/17/spider-man-far-from-home-zendaya-red-hair-mj-mary-jane/ https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/50-spider-man-far-home-easter-eggs-references-1222176

She is not Mary Jane Watson! She is based on Mary Jane but she's not her! It's not that difficult to understand. Also Comicbook.com isn't a reliable source. --Mazewaxie 13:09, 15 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

If Kevin Feige says that Zendaya's MJ is not Mary Jane Watson, then who are you to say the opposite? --Mazewaxie 13:14, 15 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Your not a reliable source, your not the one to decide which stuff is and isn't reliable. Going by your logic does that mean that because Purple Man was renamed Kevin Jones in Jessica Jones he is not Purple Man anymore?

Because Liz Allen was renamed Liz Toomes does that not make her Liz Allen anymore?

Because Anton Vanko was renamed Ivan Vanko does that mean he's not the same person?

Your logic is flawed it's the marvel cinematic universe hence it is based on the comics, Kilgraves real name was Zebadiah Killgrave but in the mcu it's Kevin Jones, just because the name is changed doesn't mean it's not the same character, it's just a different version.

Look Kevin said MJ isn't the exact version from the comics, but you need to get it around your head she is a heavily modified version of the character like Kilgrave/ Kevin Jones from Jessica Jones is a modified version of Purple Man from the comics.

I don't know how to explain it to you better than I did. I can only say that I'm going to revert your edits if you will change MJ's wikilink to Mary Jane Watson or Michelle Gonzales (or whatever other character). --Mazewaxie 13:20, 15 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Look at this https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Purple_Man

He comics name is Zebadiah Killgrave / Purple Man His MCU name is Kevin Jones / Kilgrave

His real name in the comics is his alias

Same is from Mary Jane She goes by MJ in the comics and goes by MJ in the films.

I'm going to repost this again: Kevin Feige explicitly said: "In setting up this will be a very different thing, she's not Mary Jane Watson, that's not who the character is. [...] But giving her the initials that remind you of that dynamic certainly is intriguing about what could go forward."

Kevin Feige is the president of Marvel Studios, no one is more reliable than him. --Mazewaxie 13:25, 15 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Evidence for her being a version of Mary Jane.

  • In Far From Home she is only credited as MJ by othe people and in the films credits
  • Through the film she wears a Tiger shirt in reference to her comic phrase “Face it tiger you hit the jackpot”
  • various Merchadise including Funko Pops have listed her as Mary Jane.
  • Zendaya herself dyed her hair red at the Hollywood premeir of Far from Homr with the face it tiger catchpatch on Twitter.
  • The official novelisation of the film which includes interviews with all the main cast clearly states that the character from the comics Zendaya’s character is based on is Mary Jane Watson.

Finally when Fiege said that she is not the comic book Mary Jane, Zendaya is portraying a reimagined version of the character for the MCU, she may have a different name but she shares many similar characteristics and fills the exact same role as Mary Jane.

MCU's MJ is based on Mary Jane Watson, so it's normal that they share similarities (none of the one mentioned by you is major btw). But didn't you say that she was Michelle Gonzales too? So who is she? Mary Jane Watson or Michelle Gonzales? Anyway you are not in the position to claim if she is indeed one of them because there isn't a single reliable source that states so. --Mazewaxie 13:42, 15 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Look all I'm saying if they wanted to make an original character like Phil coulson they wouldn't have made her nickname MJ and literally every piece of marketing material would refer to her simply as Michelle not MJ or in some cases such as the funko pops Mary Jane, look on the web they actually sell a Mcu MJ which is listed as Mary Jane.

Look she is clearly A new interpretation of Mary Jane, emphasis on interpretation Hhggtg3279 (talk) 13:53, 15 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Kevin Feige said it is not the same character. I agree they are similar, but similar≠same. --Mazewaxie 13:57, 15 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

She said she is not the comic accurate version of Mary Jane, but what he meant is the that she is the MCU's version of Mary Jane, she's not Mary Jane per say but essentially replaces her/ fills her role.

She fills her role, ok, but she's not her. Her backstory, her temper, her appearance etc. are all different. Feige did not mention the comics, he just said, point blank, "she's not Mary Jane Watson, that's not who the character is". I agree with you that there are similarities, but that doesn't make her Mary Jane Watson or Michelle Gonzales. They use the name "MJ" because, like Feige said: "giving her the initials that remind you of that dynamic certainly is intriguing about what could go forward." So they use "MJ" because the fans could easily understand that she was going to be Peter's girlfriend, or, at least, a relevant character. --Mazewaxie 14:08, 15 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Look you know about the multiverse right? And alternate reality versions of characters? Well that applies here, many news outlets and official material from film marketing or novelisations have confirmed Michelle is an alternate version of Mary Jane, as you know an alternate reality version as the name implies differs from universe to universe, hence why the name change makes sense, she may be called Michelle but she is the alternate reality counterpart to Mary Jane. https://www.bustle.com/p/this-mj-easter-egg-in-spider-man-far-from-home-may-hint-at-a-heroic-future-for-the-character-18179959

Do you understand that we need reliable sources to allow content on Wikipedia? If MJ will be confirmed as Mary Jane Watson, then you will be free to add it, but if we just have "hints", "leaks" or "rumors", then I have to revert it. That's how Wikipedia works. --Mazewaxie 14:19, 15 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Found some confirmation read this official novelisation which includes an interview with Zendaya and it clearly states the the character Zendaya plays is adapted do from Mary Jane Watson/MJ https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=WJ2cDwAAQBAJ&pg=PA49&redir_esc=y#v=onepage&q&f=false

All sites selling far from home merchandise list Zendaya's character as MJ and most of the time Mary Jane https://forbiddenplanet.com/271952-spider-man-far-from-home-pop-vinyl-figure-mary-jane/ http://marveltoynews.com/funko-spider-man-far-from-home-pop-vinyls-mystery-minis-figures/ Hhggtg3279 (talk) 14:53, 15 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm DonQuixote. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Spider-Man: Far from Home, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you.   Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at Spider-Man: Far from Home. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing Wikipedia. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. Thank you. DonQuixote (talk) 12:05, 15 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Spider-Man: Far from Home. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. DonQuixote (talk) 12:39, 15 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

  Please stop your disruptive editing.

If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Spider-Man: Homecoming, you may be blocked from editing. GoneIn60 (talk) 06:13, 16 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

I tried discussing but nobody would listen to me or hear my point of view.
First of all, I recommend you indent your replies using colons (:), which makes it easier to follow in discussions. Second, I highly recommend you read WP:CON to learn about how consensus works. Until that has been established, avoid ramming your preferred version into an article. Doing so can lead to edit warring (which you've already been blocked for) and other undesirable behavior. If you feel that you are out of options and would like to pursue dispute resolution, see WP:DR for a detailed explanation of how that process works. I suggest you continue the discussion for now, as it doesn't appear to have stalled yet. --GoneIn60 (talk) 07:08, 16 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
It’s not edit warring because I’m including factually reliable material, please stop reverting.
You are on a fast track to getting blocked again. This is very clear at WP:EW:
"An editor who repeatedly restores their preferred version is edit warring, regardless of whether those edits are justifiable: "But my edits were right, so it wasn't edit warring" is no defense."
"Users who engage in edit wars risk being blocked or even banned." --GoneIn60 (talk) 07:16, 16 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

That’s a stupid rule, and anyway I’m just reverting the vandalism, which is classed as vandalism because they are removing perfectly sourced information from the article.

MCU's MJ

edit

Hi. Now that the dust has settled somewhat, I'm here to ask you to nominate MJ (Marvel Cinematic Universe) for speedy deletion with the "G7. Author requests deletion" criteria. The article clearly is not notable enough, particularly in comparison to other MCU character articles that exist –Tony Stark and Steve Rogers to name a few–, and being you the one to nominate it would make it so much faster and easier to delete. El Millo (talk) 01:25, 15 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Michelle Gonzales moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Michelle Gonzales, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. For the record

edit

In your edit summary, you mentioned you weren't reverting, "just reinserting the citations". Even if you don't hit on the undo button, reinserting information contested by multiple editors is engaging in WP:Edit warring. Do read the linked policy. Even if you don't agree with it, that's how it is defined here on Wikipedia. DeluxeVegan (talk) 11:17, 16 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

I quote from the edit warring page “Reverting vandalism is not edit warring”. What Facu was doing was reverting factually sourced information despite explaining multiple times the reason behind my edit, I even backed my claims with quotes from Kevin Fiege himself concerning Zendaya’s role with him saying “we were clever and gave her the initials MJ” meaning her last name stars with a J which was confirmed to be Jones in many articles as well as the official novelisation of the film, case closed.

Then you don't understand what is WP:vandalism for Wikipedia. "Even if misguided, willfully against consensus, or disruptive, any good-faith effort to improve the encyclopedia is not vandalism". Completely removing a chunk of text from an article and replacing it with "lol" or similar is vandalism, as is adding derogatory information about living/recently deceased people, or utter gibberish. Anything else almost always falls under WP:Content dispute. I hope I have made myself clear. DeluxeVegan (talk) 12:19, 16 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Well then I can say the same for my edits since it’s inserting factually sourced information.

Your draft article, Draft:Michelle Gonzales

edit

Hello, Hhggtg3279. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Michelle Gonzales".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.
