Mount Lawley and talk page message removal edit
Hi Helena, great work at the Mount Lawley article. There are just a few things to remember about referencing:
- Try not to get the title and work fields mixed up, like you did with the Town of Vincent references. (I personally always use title and publisher fields, but that's just me). This is especially important for computer programs that process Wikipedia references.
- You can use the same reference more than once by first naming it and then using the syntax <ref name="referencename"/>. You can now see this in action at the Mount Lawley article; see this guidance about named references.
- Access dates are generally in the same date format as the rest of the article these days, like "4 August 2012".
Also, I was checking your talk page history and noticed that you had removed a conversation with Casliber with the comment "Removing troll". I'm curious about the reasoning for that edit; did you mean to remove that section? Casliber is many things (and I mean that in a good way), but "troll" is most certainly not one of them!
Lastly, in case you're not aware, WikiProject Western Australia is a WikiProject devoted to working on Western Australian articles; its talk page is a great place to ask questions about improving WA content. WikiProject Australia and the Australian Wikipedians' notice board perform the same functions for Australian content generally. Graham87 15:26, 4 August 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks so very much for the help, Graham; I've never written/re-written articles before, so I'm feeling very much in need of some hand-holding at the moment. (I'm really keen to do some work on the inner-northern suburbs, and putting some stuff out there and getting a friendly response makes all the difference.)

- Awesome! Re the "graffiti the main page" comment, Casliber was referring to the did you know process, which allows you to have your article on the Main Page for six hours if it's been recently created or expanded by five times its original size. Many experienced Wikipedians use far too many acronyms! Graham87 15:12, 16 August 2012 (UTC)
