hi - sound prob

I saw your comment. When I look here I get the sound file standing proud. Its about a line or two above the hooks. Do you get the same? Victuallers (talk) 18:31, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

thx for your continued help ... I have placed a note on DYK talk to ask for expertise too. If we can't fix it soon then we'll need to load another pic. best to leave the sound, I thiink, as it will keep for 2 or 3 days... Victuallers (talk) 20:41, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

Note templates

Note templates (though their dizzying variety could use thorough cleaning and deprecation) are not deprecated. they are currently the only way to make footnoted content notes. The note group functions are useful for quick notes like what you have, but still cannot be embedded inside each others. Circeus (talk) 18:36, 4 September 2008 (UTC)

Stanmer church

Hi, any chance of adding a photo of the donkey wheel to the article? I think it would improve the article if there was a photo. Without getting into WP:OR, is the size of the wheel known (diameter and width)? Mjroots (talk) 08:11, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

Spoken Wikipedia — Lebanon & others

Hi Hassocks, thanks for getting back to me! I understand all about being busy elsewhere and finding time for things, so I've no trouble at all waiting :)

I haven't listened to Islamic feminism but I will, along with some of his other contributions and will draft a message for him, as you suggested. I'll post it here for you to have a look first. The licence issues are easily fixable so he should respond well to that; we shall have to wait and see how the rest goes, but hopefully ok! :) Will post the message for him here, soon. Cheers, Maedin\talk 07:20, 29 August 2008 (UTC)

Hello Hassocks! Unfortunately, it turned into a huuuuge ramble and I'm really nervous about it! I was as nice as I could be, but I'm still worried. I would really like your thoughts and input. It's so long that I'm not going to paste it here, I'll just link to it: find it here. Feel free to edit the page, I don't mind if you mess around with what I've written.
I really wasn't sure how much detail to give, but I do think it would be unfair to not provide specific examples, which is why I included them. I know that, were it me, I wouldn't appreciate receiving criticism without proof, otherwise I would be like, "Huh? I did? Where? I didn't know I did that, do they know what they're talking about?..." etc. Actually, I probably wouldn't do that, but I could imagine that most people might, :)
Also, I noticed that, where there were template headers before the articles (for lack of references, articles to be expanded, etc), he mentioned them in the recordings. I wasn't sure if this was the right thing to do or not, so I made sure I didn't mention it. You probably know better than me.
Again, I'm not at all sure that what I've said is appropriate. I've probably gone "too far" in pointing out errors. I'd really like to get this right, so make as many changes as you feel necessary, even if that includes deleting whole swathes of it!
Over to you! And many thanks for your help so far. Maedin\talk 20:36, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
Me again, just a quick note to say that I've posted our message to Pordaria. I even thought to fix the time on the sigs, felt very clever for that! Sad, I know, :) Maedin\talk 17:46, 5 September 2008 (UTC)

List of railway stations in Greater Manchester

I was going to ask you about this article over on WT:MERSEY where you brought it up, but it's probably best if the project page stays on the topic of Merseyside while it's finding its feet. I'm wondering if you think that the List of railway stations in Greater Manchester article is ready for FLC yet? The only obstacle I can see is missing information for one station, but I'm not sure how much of an issue that would be at FLC. Nev1 (talk) 16:47, 7 September 2008 (UTC)

That's great, a good job has been made of the article and I think it deserves recognition. Mr Stephen also added some information, so it would probably be a good idea to let him know too. Nev1 (talk) 18:29, 7 September 2008 (UTC)

St Andrew's in Waterloo Street

...and if you could do an article on St Andrew's in Waterloo Street in Hove, you'll find there's a whole lot of interesting facts to write up on. Mike Robins (if he's still around) could be helpful.--92.40.251.63 (talk) 04:44, 9 September 2008 (UTC)

Re:List of railway stations in Greater Manchester

Hey! I have been really busy in real life recently so haven't been editing much. I am happy to see the list has come on leaps and bounds recently and will do all I can to support the FLC. Joshiichat 19:11, 9 September 2008 (UTC)

Likewise! You'll have my fullest support - I'll watchlist the relevant pages and help where I can. Good luck! --Jza84 |  Talk  20:21, 9 September 2008 (UTC)

Re: On Pordaria's sound files

Hi there, Hassocks! Has been some time, we've certainly given him a decent period to log in and see the message. I'm more than ready to either delete or comment out, and on that subject, I don't have a preference. Commenting the file out of the article would be "gentler", but as we don't have any intention of re-instating the file on the article (barring outcry), then I don't see why we would leave it hanging around, either. In any case, I suppose waiting until you come back would make more sense, as you'll be available to come to my aid and answer any queries which might result. I think I would feel more comfortable if you were to do the actual deed, but also willing to do it myself—just let me know! Maedin\talk 13:00, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
