Remember to always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes (~~~~)
at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to this (your talk) page, and a timestamp.
To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own private sandbox for use any time. Perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put
{{My sandbox}}
on your user page. By the way, seeing as you haven't created a user page yet, simply click here to start it.I saw your comments at Talk:Leggetts Creek/GA1... Yeah, I knew the nominator hasn't edited since September, no reason given on their talk page + yr editing to the article. I posted some help-queries on WIkiProject River and WikiProject Pennsylvania but no response yet. Are you willing to take on my suggestions for improving this article to GA status? I feel badly that this article is now basically a GA-orphan... It just needs a few tweaks. Shearonink (talk) 15:28, 24 December 2016 (UTC)

Indonesian spelling edit
Please note you are welcome to join in the discussion for the proposal about spelling to be ratified (about 8 years after it was thought about) - trust your festival season has been a good one - and hope to see your comments at the page - Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Indonesia - thanks JarrahTree 00:41, 27 December 2016 (UTC)

Interesting update edits edit
Those were interesting update edits you did on Wikiproject tabulations here [1]. There is still alot of blank 'white' space in that graph and possibly you have thought about simultaneously adding the old data from 2-3 years back into the graph to stand as column graphs superimposed and next to your brand new 2017 columns. There's lots of 'white' space unused in the chart and it might be nice to see the growth aspects of Wikipedia charted in comparing the old data to 2017. ManKnowsInfinity (talk) 19:57, 2 March 2017 (UTC)
- @ManKnowsInfinity: I don't know how to do it, but you can certainly check the older versions to see the previous data. Hanif Al Husaini (talk) 06:01, 3 March 2017 (UTC)
What's happening? edit
I can't help noticing that you have recently edited at least half-a-dozen unrelated articles I've been working on. Any particular reason? Chiswick Chap (talk) 13:26, 22 March 2017 (UTC)
- I was just interested in biology, and I admire your work in improving the encyclopedia, but when I saw something wrong on any article, I tried to correct it. Apology if I did something wrong. Hanif Al Husaini (talk) 14:01, 22 March 2017 (UTC)
- Many thanks, good to know. Chiswick Chap (talk) 14:40, 22 March 2017 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for March 18 edit
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Earthworm, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page John Murray (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Hi, thanks for your edit. It would have been helpful if you'd added an edit comment (updated URL); you could probably also have marked this as minor as it wasn't contentious in any way. Chiswick Chap (talk) 09:04, 24 March 2018 (UTC)

When wikipedia started edit
Many of the projects sounded like titles from childrens exercise books for primary schools - trains, ships, and so on. Eventually some more sophisticated named projects were started, and as projects have ebbed and waned like tides, the more wider generic titles have clashed or had urges to swallow related items (ships wanted to swallow up shipwrecks.. and so on).
The big problem is that the culture project has died in effect - and anthropology sits there where linguistics, languages, archaeology and ethnic groups still functioning. Culture could in effect be an umbrella project for component projects like anthroology.. But hey, there is always more than one can even cope with. Or more tangled than can be easily solved. Thanks
1996 in Indonesia moved to draftspace (WP:LISTVERIFY) edit
An article you recently created, 1996 in Indonesia, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Speedy deletion nomination of Talk:Alex Anderson edit
A tag has been placed on Talk:Alex Anderson requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:
I need a talk page for Alex Anderson (quilter) and the dab page. I'm not sure how fix my mistake.
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, pages that meet certain criteria may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Hello from the other side of the world! edit
Hi Hanif Al Husaini. I hadn't seen you around before so I'd intended to pop over to say "Welcome", but after quickly clicking back to the top of your edit history I see you've been here about as long as I have! So instead I'll say hello! and I'm glad to see another name editing in the molecular biology realm. It has been a quiet world over there, so we're happy to have any hands we can get. Thanks for cleaning up some of my messes at Buruli ulcer and Mycobacterium ulcerans. I'm looking forward to working together at Nucleus (if you have the time and interest, of course. No pressure). I hope you decide to stick with the molecular biology articles. Also if you're interested, there's a slightly livelier group at WT:MED whose interests sometimes overlap with molecular biology. Either way, if there's any way I can help with what you're doing, just let me know. I hope all is well during these crazy times! Ajpolino (talk) 18:29, 24 October 2020 (UTC)
- @Ajpolino: I am rather busy because I am a freshman biology undergraduate student, so I don't think I can help much, but I will try. Hanif Al Husaini (talk) 00:28, 25 October 2020 (UTC)
- Even better, welcome to the world of biology! Undergraduate biology is a good time to be looking things up on Wikipedia. As you come across articles here that seem sorely lacking, please feel free to either drop me a note or post at WT:MOLBIO and we'll try to spruce them up. All the best in your studies! I hope we'll see you around the biology articles during your breaks. Ajpolino (talk) 04:42, 25 October 2020 (UTC)
