If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Judo players. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Judo. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Judo – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. hmssolent\You rang? ship's log 08:11, 16 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Mick cutajar

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Mick cutajar, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Proposed deletion of Mick Cutajar

edit

The article Mick Cutajar has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Subject appears to fail WP:N and WP:BIO as he hasn't received significant coverage in multiple reliable, independent sources.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. You are welcome to edit the page to fix this problem, but please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.   Hello, Gtingle1. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. 99.149.85.229 (talk) 14:04, 22 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Some of the subjects you're writing about may meet notability guidelines, but the presence of conflict of interest and promotional intent is so pervasive that each article is compromised as an encyclopedic entry. Thank you, 99.149.85.229 (talk) 14:04, 22 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Eva Rinaldi

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Eva Rinaldi requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content or organised event, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

Please do not write or add to an article about yourself, as you apparently did at Greg Tingle. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. --Orange Mike | Talk 05:34, 26 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Your article about yourself and your other articles about your clients

edit

Thought I'd copy my note from Talk:Greg Tingle here because that article is likely to be deleted soon, along with it's talk page:

Being in a particular industry for a particular length of time is not a criteria for inclusion on Wikipedia. I think you know this, given the number of times you have tried to recreate this article about yourself. Please read WP:PROMO and WP:AUTOBIO. To be notable, you need to have been the subject of significant coverage in multiple reliable sources. Having been in the media industry for so long, I'm sure you know what I mean. Simply being "well know" among a certain group is not the same as being "notable" here on Wikipedia. Working with notable people doesn't make you notable - please see WP:INHERIT.

The fact that the information in the article is "true" is also not a reason not to delete it. On Wikipedia, claims must be verified by reliable sources. We can't just take your word for it. The simple solution is this: find some reliable news articles that give you significant coverage, go to WP:DRV and ask for permission to recreate the article. Continually creating the same article about yourself again and again and creating articles to promote your clients will likely just get you blocked. Stalwart111 08:35, 26 May 2013 (UTC).

Happy to discuss any of this with you here or on my talk page, but you really need to take a step back and slow down. Stalwart111 08:35, 26 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
