Hello, I have less than a month of experience on Wikipedia so take it easy on me as I’m trying to understand. Why was this photo deleted when File:Vicharnnoi 1976 low qual.png, File:Pudpadnoi 1971.png, File:Saenklai Sit Kru Od with Lumpinee Stadium belt.jpg, and File:Namkabuan Nongkeepahuyuth 1993.jpg were already on Wikipedia to begin with? The image I sent would’ve been “first published outside the United States (and not published in the U.S. within 30 days)”, used “to provide visual identification of one or more specific individual”, “where the individual(s) concerned are deceased”, and “for whom there is no known representation under a 'free' license”? The subject received significant coverage in 1995-2000 in the form of interviews and dedicated articles in the main music newspapers and magazines, such as NME[9], The Face[10], Mixmag[11], De:Bug and many others.

Not all of these old sources are available online, but are available in libraries and some can be bought (e.g. see interview in this issue [12]).

For these old sources, please note the condition WP:NEXIST.

The existence of more recent interviews and re-releases of 30 years old albums [13] is a sign of WP:NSUSTAINED.

These and other sources mentioned earlier are independent of the subject and are not WP:SPIP.

All this is evidence for WP:GNG.

Dear Explicit. I can't edit from where I am as WP blocks my IPs. There is no need to write a new page if somebody had already written it years ago. It is eniterly up to you as administrator whether to delete or undelete a page WP:ADMINGUIDE/D. You may focus on IPs and user status or simply look at the facts and sources. There is a well known history written for example in this book [14], Chapter XI. Criteria 1, 7 for WP:BAND and 1-5 for WP:NMUSICOTHER are satisfied. GardenWise (talk) 22:16, 17 August 2024 (UTC)

Hi Explicit. Would you mind taking a look at File:2022-11-07 07-54-58-PMHeadshot SaladdinAhmed-.jpg? I tagged the file for speedy deletion per F11 on August 5, and the uploader seems to have made a G7 request with this edit but not sure. The file went without a copyright license until earlier today when it was tagged for speedy deletion per F4. Either way, I guess the file will end up deleted so maybe there's nothing to do but wait.

Since you're a Commons admin, I'm wondering if you could also look at File:Drew Garvie.png. This was uploaded by the same uploader (only to Commons) and has the same issue. -- Marchjuly (talk) 21:59, 17 August 2024 (UTC)
