Tribulations about Tabourie edit

Hi Epistemos. Thankyou for your recent contributions and moving the article on Lake Tabourie (or is it Tabourie Lake?). I have noted on the talk page that there are some conflicting sources on the official name of the village. If you are interested, would you weigh in with an opinion or help me to clarify the conventions in such a situation? Dfadden (talk) 13:29, 30 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

British English edit

Hi, I've undone one of your moves. In British English, Governor is capitalised in that context as the representative of HMQ. Regards, WCMemail 21:09, 21 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

British or any English that I am aware of; it is Her Majesty The Queen, BUT the queens or kings or earl or countesses or viscounts or rulers or plenipotentiaries of England or anywhere. Likewise, it is The Governor of X, Lord Algernon Muck or simply The Governor where it is implicit that Lord Muck governing, or having governed, X is referred to, BUT in the plural Lord Muck and mates were (and one may still be) governors. You shall (or should not) find "List of Kings.... List of Counts..." on Wikipedia nor should we have inflicted upon us "Lists of Governors...". No disrespect for Her Gracious is inherent in my move, simple grammar demandeth such. Regards Epistemos (talk) 08:55, 22 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

Chatswood edit

Just so I make myself very clear - I am a third generation resident of Chatswood with European ancestry who settled in the area. I live, breathe and work Chatswood. I'm a local teacher, Local Historian working with the association and also a member of Chatswood's West Ward Progress Association. I am one of the leading authorities on OUR local history and I am failing to understand why on earth you feel the need to constantly remove information that has been added that is HISTORICALLY CORRECT.

Localteacher1 (talk) 11:44, 10 June 2016 (UTC)Reply
References are needed NOT unreferenced local knowledge and you are clearly not an English teacher so you should consult one to avoid constructions such as 1950's which is a plural not a possessive. Epistemos (talk) 11:50, 10 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

The article List of people on the postage stamps of Tanzania has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:LISTN, unsourced since its creation in 2008, abandoned since 2010, ends in 1982 for some reason, and is not of interest to our readers anyway (19 visits in the last 90 days).

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
