List of Desperate Housewives cast members

edit

Hi! Nice to see you are participating in the Desperate Housewives articles! There is a lot to be done. Concerning your edition to List of Desperate Housewives cast members - I'm thinking we better stick to episodes aired, since the official press releases have been known to have errors, but foremost since they aren't complete. It will be a bit tricky to keep apart what information is based upon the actual show, and what are based upon the press releases.

However - of course this information, since it is encyclopedic, could - and should - be included in Desperate Housewives Season 4 etc. as well as episode article. So my proportion is that we wait and add upcoming cast information in List of Desperate Housewives cast members, as well as List of one-time characters and guest stars on Desperate Housewives. Would it be OK with you? Cheers! /Pjär80 22:25, 8 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Sure, that's fine.

Great! :) Hope we will se you around doing lots of improving on the DH articles! Pjär80 22:31, 8 August 2007 (UTC)Reply
BTW - just thought I'd mention that a Desperate Housewives Project might be coming about. If you are intrested, please feel free to express your intrest here. Pjär80 22:51, 8 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:300bruce tess.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI 10:52, 23 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Duplicate images uploaded

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:DancingOnIceTourLogo.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:625227 34593 1-1-.jpg. The copy called Image:625227 34593 1-1-.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Orphaned non-free media (Image:Something's Coming.jpg)

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Something's Coming.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:DancingOnIceTourLogo.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:DancingOnIceTourLogo.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 19:32, 22 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Denise-Welch-782d8ecf-baf2-447f-b01c-2dc4ac9d6e9c.jpg}

edit

Thank you for uploading Image:Denise-Welch-782d8ecf-baf2-447f-b01c-2dc4ac9d6e9c.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check:

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Proposed deletion of Dancing on Ice: The Tour

edit

The article Dancing on Ice: The Tour has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Pure WP:FANCRUFT.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
