Incidentally, just a heads up that I nominated American Pharoah for featured article here: Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/American Pharoah/archive1. You haven't worked on it, and I could use at least one horse-knowledgeable reviewer... Montanabw(talk) 23:55, 9 July 2015 (UTC)

Thanks for the thanks! I did notice some changes further back that should be looked at maybe. Perhaps you operate a regular servicing schedule. Cheers, Johnbod (talk) 18:05, 26 July 2015 (UTC)

GNG? AfD?

Per Jim Mitchell (Louisiana judge), that you had to delete off the AQHA page, do you think this individual is even notable? He just died, it reads like his family's obit... nice tribute, but are local judges notable per GNG?? Montanabw(talk) 08:55, 27 July 2015 (UTC)

Not the slightest clue, honestly. Not an area I mess with, quite honestly. Ealdgyth - Talk 12:13, 27 July 2015 (UTC)

Wikipedia Library Past Masters account check-in

Hello Ealdgyth,

You are receiving this message because you have a one-year subscription to Past Masters through the Wikipedia Library. This is a brief update to remind you about that access:

  • Please make sure that you can still log in to your Past Masters account. If you are having trouble let me know.
  • Remember, if you find this source useful for your Wikipedia work, to include citations with links on Wikipedia. Links to partner resources are one of the few ways we can demonstrate usage and demand for accounts to our partners. The greater the linkage, the greater the likelihood a useful partnership will be renewed.

Finally, we would greatly appreciate it if you filled out this short survey. If you would prefer to contact me directly about your experience with this resource, please leave a message on my talk page.

Thank you, Wikipedia Library Past Masters account coordinator HazelAB (talk) 12:54, 4 August 2015 (UTC)

Herbert of Winchester

Hi, why do you keep reverting the part in which it's stated that he married a daughter of Miles of Gloucester, 1st Earl of Hereford? If that is not true, then we should also edit the Earl and his wife's pages.

Because you're adding it in to a place that already has a source ... and that source doesn't mention a thing about him marrying such a person. It is also flatly contradicted by earlier information in the Herbert article, where it states that he married either Emma, an illigitimate sister of King Stephen of England or Emma, the daughter of Hunger fitz Odin. The source given in Miles' article is not a reliable source - and it ALSO states that Lucy married "HERBERT FitzHerbert [II], son of HERBERT FitzHerbert [I] & his wife Sibyl Corbet." That's Herbert of Winchester's GRANDSON ... the article is about Herbert fitzAlberic, not Herbert fitzHerbert. You're trying to add it to the wrong article. Ealdgyth - Talk 14:41, 9 August 2015 (UTC)
Simple research would have shown this to be wrong on dates - Herbert of Winchester is recorded in Domesday around 1086 or so ... so it would be very difficult for him to have married Lucy, who is given a birth date of before 1143 and a death date around 1219-1120. The line appears to go Herbert of Winchester married Emma and fathered Herbert fitz Herbert who married Sybil and fathered Herbert fitz Herbert who married Lucy.
