Template LDS Temple/Snowflake Arizona Temple

Hi, Thanks for resolving the duplicates so quickly yesterday. There is another that appeared today for "Template:LDS Temple/Snowflake Arizona Temple" – there are two presidents. It's not affecting as many pages as the other one. I'll leave it to you to correct, as I'm not sure how the original president should be listed. Ira Leviton (talk) 16:44, 1 October 2023 (UTC)

Thank you so much for pointing this out! I got it corrected. I think the "presidents" field was listed out of typical order which is why I had the other one listed. I used the current temple president. I'll try to keep a closer eye on this going forward. Thanks again - Dmm1169 (talk) 02:01, 2 October 2023 (UTC)

Temple Templates

Hello. I wanted to thank you for creating the new temple templates. I had thought you'd be unable to do so this weekend, per your earlier comment. I wasn't able to get to that myself today due to a family issue that consumed my attention this afternoon. I wound up having to watch the Sunday Afternoon Session this evening as a result. So thanks for getting on top of that so fast. Keep up the great work! Jgstokes (talk) 05:10, 2 October 2023 (UTC)

I understand. I didn't think I was since I wasn't getting back til 9pm and needing to be up early. I noticed it hadn't been done yet and I'm not needing to be up as early in the morning. So, I'm able to work some on this. Thanks Dmm1169 (talk) 05:22, 2 October 2023 (UTC)
There's still going to be quite a bit to catch up. Area (LDS Church), Comparison temple page, geographic list, and each of the applicable state/country pages still needs to be updated and it maybe a bit before I can get to all of them. Thanks! Dmm1169 (talk) 05:25, 2 October 2023 (UTC)
I noticed something interesting the last couple of times I've rewatched the announcement video. THe order in which the temples were announced by President Nelson is not the order in which they appear in cited sources. I would assume that, per Wikipedia policy, we need to go by what the sources say. I just thought that was an interesting anomaly. --Jgstokes (talk) 03:34, 4 October 2023 (UTC)
Yes, go by the sources. Someone else had listed the temples so I had simply went by that due to haste on getting it up. If no one else did it, I was going to double check after things had settled down a bit. Thank you for your help on this!!! Dmm1169 (talk) 03:51, 4 October 2023 (UTC)

Area (LDS Church)

@Dmm1169, I have a bit of a dilemma that I may need help with. I was able to create and update a subpage to hold the changes in area presidencies that were to go into effect on August 1. Since it is about that time to do so, Ordinarily, I'd copy and paste the content of that subpage into the parent article, cite the applicable policy allowing me to do so, and referring back to the subpage history for any questions. However, since I created that subpage, you've done a lot of work on the main article that isn't reflected on the subpage. So I can't do a straight-up copy and paste from the subpage to the main page, because doing so would essentially undo all of your edits made after the subpage was created and edited. If you know of any way around this other than cutting and pasting each individual area presidency where there has een a change, I'd appreciate hearing about it. I know that in some cases, one article can be merged into another, but I recall trying to merge my subpage changes in the past directly into the main page in previous years, and the system wouldn't allow that. Just let me know if you have any ideas. Thanks. Jgstokes (talk) 00:47, 1 August 2023 (UTC)

Jgstokes, I saw that you already made the changes. Thank you for all the work you've done on this!!! If you need further assistance, let me know.
Yes I changed the format in that there's a different table for each area. For longer tables, I like having the header visible as I scroll down the table. Prior to splitting the table, the Africa Central Area header would show for the entire table. With it split, it changes so that only the header for the area I'm viewing shows.
I'm trying to update the chronological mission table and adding more features including links to related missions in table due to divisions. Feel free to let me know if you have any suggestions for this or other tables/maps/ or other content. Thanks! Dmm1169 (talk) 03:34, 1 August 2023 (UTC)
Sounds like a plan. Manually making the changes seemed like the easiest move. Probably the only other thing of note is that the potential changes that appeared on the map that accompanied the area assignment changes this year were not verified in the CDOL, nor in the Newsroom. So there are no changes to area boundaries this year. As far as the mission table, thank you for your work on that. I don't know that I have any suggestions there, so just keep up the great work, and thanks again! Jgstokes (talk) 03:53, 1 August 2023 (UTC)

More duplicates

There are more duplicate parameters appearing – Template:LDS Temple/Miraflores Guatemala City Guatemala Temple, Template:LDS Temple/Managua Nicaragua Temple, Template:LDS Temple/Willamette Valley Oregon Temple, Template:LDS Temple/Ephraim Utah Temple Template:LDS Temple/Heber Valley Utah Temple all have two valueds for the "endowment_rooms" parameter. Since I don't know the correct number to keep, I'll leave it to you. (There might be more, but that's all that I see now.) Thanks. Ira Leviton (talk) 17:08, 6 October 2023 (UTC)

Copy paste issue. Got it fixed. Thanks! - Dmm1169 (talk) 18:49, 6 October 2023 (UTC)

Potential copyright violation

You may have seen that the new page (the creation of which I absolutely support) was marked as a potential copyright violation. Ordinarily, when starting a new page or moving content from a new page will generally draw less suspicion when the relevant policy for copying within Wikipedia is cited as the page is created. That was the only thing you missed with the page creation in this case. I will see what I can do on my end to sort this out. Thanks. Jgstokes (talk) 04:36, 18 October 2023 (UTC)

Ok. Thank you for letting me know. I was unaware of the implementation within Wikipedia. It would be good to verify for sure.
If this helps, it falls under the special case for splitting, and definately met the criteria for size split (>100kB Almost certainly should be divided). Nothing is said in this section where arbitration is needed. With exception of some header text, nothing listed in the new page is on the old page, but it will be good to know for sure. - Dmm1169 (talk) 05:20, 18 October 2023 (UTC)
I reached out to another Wikipedian about this situation. At some point after I did so, the flagged potential copyright violation was removed. I am, of course, somewhat aware of the policies you cited, which may be part of why this was cleared up so quickly. I only know about the policy I mentioned because I similarly had the same issue with another article. The person who advised me of the issue told me about that policy, which is when I found out I had done it wrong. I've cited that rule ever since when copying a whole article or part of any article. Glad everything has been cleared up, however it happened. Thanks. Jgstokes (talk) 05:37, 18 October 2023 (UTC)

Allows unassisted driving under limited conditions

Hello,

You added text: "Allows unassisted driving under limited conditions" in https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Lane_departure_warning_system&diff=prev&oldid=600817583

This might be ambiguous as long as you did not define unassisted driving. By unassisted driving, did you mean:

  • a mean (such as in reg 130) to manually deactivate the assisted feature?
  • a kind of autonomous driving system such as Level 3?

5.2.3. The LDWS shall be active at least at vehicle speeds above 60 km/h, unless manually deactivated as per paragraph 5.3. below.

5.3. If a vehicle is equipped with a means to deactivate the LDWS function, the following conditions shall apply as appropriate

— Regulation UNECE 130

77.193.104.36 (talk) 10:58, 21 October 2023 (UTC)

It also changes with time. That text was added likely more than five years ago. I'm sure conditions have changed - especially with this topic. Please feel free to update it. Thanks - Dmm1169 (talk) 13:03, 21 October 2023 (UTC)

Temples

Hi, you'll need to move them out of the subtitles—either to the main text below them or in a separate subsection at the bottom (See also). Tony (talk) 07:21, 25 October 2023 (UTC)
