I think you didn't notice that the G12 copyvio you tagged was from a .gov site---and is therefore PD-US and not copyvio. I have my doubts about notability , but that's a separate issue. DGG ( talk ) 03:40, 27 April 2012 (UTC)

You're right. USDA. I'll shuffle it off to AFD. --Dennis The Tiger (Rawr and stuff) 06:29, 27 April 2012 (UTC)

lexicon of sustainability

i see you pulled it down can you help me with the references you would like me to cite? would greatly appreciate your insight here. Natethurmond (talk) 19:04, 1 May 2012 (UTC)natethurmond

I actually did not pull it down - I don't have that ability to do so. (To wit, I did not even post for removal at all.) My recommendation is to follow the links for guidance as to what kind of information we look for in articles. Also, what I can suggest is finding your way to deletion review and request to have your article put into your userspace for more work for improvements; on the other hand, you may be best starting from scratch. I leave that to your decisions. --Dennis The Tiger (Rawr and stuff) 22:25, 1 May 2012 (UTC)

Peer Posipal

Hi, I recreated the article Peer Posipal you deleted. The reason for deletion (never played in a fully professional league) is frankly nonsense - he played almost 200 Bundesliga games, which was and is sourced by 4 links. 13:29, 2 May 2012 (UTC))

sorry, forgot to log in, that was me posting above. (Alexpostfacto (talk) 13:32, 2 May 2012 (UTC))
Alex, know that it was not I who deleted the article. I tagged it, but I did not delete it. I simply do not have that capability to delete material in this way. This said, I think a better route to have gone would have been deletion review, rather than recreation - looking at what you provide, it's a pro venue, and it's good here, but still, it would likely have driven the point home - if not slower. You don't have any English version of those links, by the way, do you? --Dennis The Tiger (Rawr and stuff) 14:04, 2 May 2012 (UTC)
Hi, first of all, thanks for the explanation. I just checked the discussion page, and didn't notice the deletion log. As for the links - there aren't many good English sites on German football from the pre-internet days. Since the vast majority of German player articles on here use German sites, and there are even templates for those on the English wikipedia (Template:Fussballdaten and Template:Transfermarkt) I never added English links. However, I'll switch the Transfermarkt link to the English version of that site (the translation they did isn't very good, but it should be enough to get the basic stuff). (Alexpostfacto (talk) 14:53, 2 May 2012 (UTC))

Ferroconcrete

The company might be an A7 but I'm not 100% sure — someone might decline it for the awards alone, tangential as they are. I say keep the dab on your watchlist, {{db-disambig}} it once Ferroconcrete is deleted, then restore Ferroconcrete as a redirect to that kind of concrete. Ten Pound Hammer(What did I screw up now?) 02:19, 4 May 2012 (UTC)

BLPprods

Be careful when you do a BLPprod. The rule is there has to be NO references that back up anything said in the article. Marian (singer), Joseph F. Darowski, Nathan Tysen and Tukuna Mohanty all had references when you added a prod. Bgwhite (talk) 07:41, 5 May 2012 (UTC)

Sawdust vs. wood dust

As you made the original suggestion (on 30 April), I thought that you might be interested in the subsequent debate at Talk:Sawdust#Merge in from Wood dust. --Bejnar (talk) 17:36, 8 May 2012 (UTC)

Farm assurance

Hi DennisTheTiger, I left explanations for some of my edits which you left unanswered after reversing them. In order to make Wikipedia a welcoming environment for everyone I think it would be a good idea to be responsive to that sort of dialog. Husaaved (talk) 19:47, 10 May 2012 (UTC)

(Copied from my main editorial account. --Dennis The Tiger (Rawr and stuff) 23:12, 10 May 2012 (UTC))

In this case, it was a little of what I saw as a little disconcerting. To outline...
  • In the case of Kashi, it's notable enough to warrant its own article, moreso due to its history, and especially so due to the recent issues surrounding the nature of the crops they discovered and the thing in...oh, where was it, Rhode Island? In any case, the article does fit in with our notability guidelines for a product.
  • For Farm assurance and The Non-GMO Project, that was a little bit of a unique situation that I felt required another pair of eyes. (I'd called in help from user:DGG, raising some concerns about the nature of your edits when I encountered them, who has since gone and fixed the article - he and I have had some minor dialog when I've gone through the new pages listings and I sort of went trigger happy on the speedy tags in some articles, so for certain circumstances, I feel it is best to trust his wisdom - doubly so because he is not one to just delete stuff, preferring to find ways to fix problems if it's possible.) In general, if the article is currently promotional, however, has an established history, the article really should not be tagged for speedy deletion, even if it is promotional in nature in its momentarily current state. While sometimes it's better to delete and start over, it's often better to fix the article. The reversion I made of your edit to Farm assurance, then, was connected to that; I felt it was otherwise appropriate to otherwise leave it linked given the circumstances, and moreso now, as the speedy deletion has been declined and the article has had work done on it. (Not to say that NGMO Project couldn't stand for more work - it certainly can. =^_^= )
To explain my concerns, my previous experience has had it that, when one makes such edits as you did (the articles are connected together and seemingly out-of-place templates are placed on articles - in this case, organics), it tends to raise a red flag in my mind. Such problems are rare, but not entirely unheard of. I did not, however, feel it appropriate to involve places such as the administrator noticeboard - simply because I only thought something might be a little off about these edits. I ain't perfect. =^_^= In this case, I just felt it better to involve user:DGG in the equation, as he is probably one of the most impartial editors I know.
In closing, one favor to ask - when you post on talk pages, it's best to go to the talk page of the user account that did the edits, even if the edit was done by a legitimately used alternate account (and you're posting to the primary). Reasoning's simple, here - especially in my case, I spend more time patrolling than regular edits (or rather, regular edits beyond minor tweaks here and again), and it's that which I use this account for - so as such, I'm not frequently logged in over at the other account. Also, please post to the bottom of the talk page, or just use the "New section" option at the top.

Deletion nomination for Mayan EDMS

The article for the mature Free Open Source software called Mayan EDMS (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mayan_edms) is closely based on the article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LogicalDOC including secondary source and citations quality.

A7

Hi Dennis, just letting you know that I've removed the CSD tag you placed on Vera Cruz (fictional character) because WP:CSD#A7 only applies to real people. Best, Jenks24 (talk) 07:36, 28 May 2012 (UTC)

Indeed, fair enough. =/ Is there a better speedy category, or should I just AFD it and consider ideas for speedy policies for this? --Dennis The Tiger (Rawr and stuff) 07:40, 28 May 2012 (UTC) --Dennis The Tiger (Rawr and stuff) 07:40, 28 May 2012 (UTC)
No, I'm afraid there isn't a more suitable speedy category for articles like this (unless something like G12 applies). Yep, if you still feel it should be deleted, your next move should be either PROD or AfD, depending on which you think is more appropriate. Cheers, Jenks24 (talk) 07:48, 28 May 2012 (UTC)
Noted. In any case, it looks like someone got it on an A10. Problem solved. =) --Dennis The Tiger (Rawr and stuff) 18:22, 28 May 2012 (UTC)

New Page Patrolling

Hi. I'm just letting you know I've reverted your BLPPROD on Robert R. Johnson - the person is dead. If you still believe this article should be deleted, please use another method. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 18:15, 29 May 2012 (UTC)

Noted, thanks. We need a BDPPROD, IMHO, to make things like this a little easier. =) --Dennis The Tiger (Rawr and stuff) 18:27, 29 May 2012 (UTC)
Judging from the number of comments about your page patrolling, it would probably make things easier all round if you were to take things a bit slower, check what you are tagging, and if you're not sure, read up on WP:NPP ;) Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 18:34, 29 May 2012 (UTC)
All considered, I'm thinking you're right - and this is cutting into my studies anyway. Time to stick the wikibreak up for a bit. --Dennis The Tiger (Rawr and stuff) 05:05, 30 May 2012 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for September 13

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Bracken, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Heather. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Non-Admin Closure at WP:Articles for deletion

For future reference, Non-Admin Closure is for Keep decisions only. A discussion resulting in a Delete decision must always be closed by an Admin. The Mysterious El Willstro (talk) 00:59, 12 April 2016 (UTC)

Thanks for the note. Been a while since I've done this stuff as it is. =) The only one I remember off the top of my head where I closed non-admin was one that I had withdrawn for the simple reason that somebody had snuck in a speedy right before I completed the nomination. In my defense, it seemed like the right thing to do given the odd circumstances. --Dennis The Tiger (Rawr and stuff) 03:39, 13 April 2016 (UTC)
