DYK for Transit of Venus March

On 3 November, 2008, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Transit of Venus March, which you created or substantially expanded. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

Nice article BTW! Gatoclass (talk) 06:50, 3 November 2008 (UTC)

Transit of Venus

As noted on that articles talk page, some of the facts in it are.. just plain wrong. There's no other way to put it. Your main point about it being lost for 100 years is.. just.. wrong. ? SousaFan88 (talk) 09:24, 3 November 2008 (UTC)

Adminship

Hey. I've seen you editing for a while and thought you would be a great candidate for adminship. I'd gladly nom you at RfA if you're interested, let me know if you are. Wizardman 20:33, 6 November 2008 (UTC)

Barack Obama

I noticed you are keeping an eye on this article, so maybe you can answer my question. Practically everyone, including Wikipedia, describes Obama as African-American. Isn't it more accurate to call him biracial? Calling him African-American dismisses his white heritage, and ironically he was raised by his white mother and grandmother when his black father abandoned the family. Thank you for your response. 209.247.22.164 (talk) 19:35, 7 November 2008 (UTC)

Talk:Barbara West (TV news anchor)

In response to your question, yes the article is now somewhat balanced. However, it started out as an attack page on Ms West for daring to question Senator Biden. Undue weight is given in the article to the one interview. I voted for Obama and I don't think his supporters maintaining an enemies list of hostile reporters is a very good idea. It didn't work well for Nixon. Steve Dufour (talk) 18:03, 8 November 2008 (UTC)

Beatle's Template

Hi there, I "fixed" your edit to the Beatle's project banner. Please don't tranclude the subscription template anywhere but the project page, as it causes pages to be incorrectly categorized. This category is what the bot uses to run. If you have any more questions feel free to ask me or bring it up here. Thanks! §hep¡Talk to me! 22:06, 10 November 2008 (UTC)

WikiProject Shakespeare notice

There is currently a discussion going on regarding the project's policy on how information on characters should be represented in articles on Shakespeare's plays. Please take part by clicking Talk:Romeo and Juliet#Character Analysis. Further context, if needed, can be found by scanning the two previous talk sections on the page as well. Dear Dendodge,
As I am sure you can see, 600 edits is not going to take less than 4 days. See My Log and look when I created my account. I do apologise if I am being snappish at you though, I am just irritated! I even have Rollback Rights, From,

If the minimum is 4 Days, then how long do I have to wait?

Beatles Newsletter

Thanks for your efforts to revive this. I think there may be a technical glitch of some sort with the issue navigation appearing on user copies... It should not appear on delivered copies. When I used to deliver the newsletter what I beleive I did was get the newsletter to the final archival form, then delete the issue-nav invocation, deliver via subst: while in that form, then revert back one edit. (see the edit history of some of the older ones to see what I mean, for example the Revision history of Wikipedia:WikiProject The Beatles/Outreach/Newsletter/Issue 009) That template should be within noinclude, but that isn't sufficient when it's been substed onto a user's page. I'll watch here for answers, please let me know if I can clarify this at all. And thanks again! ++Lar: t/c 14:00, 20 November 2008 (UTC)

(Refactored from User_talk:Lar per my policy) I noticed that too, but I have come up with a solution (whether it works or not, I don't know). Basically, wrapping it in <includeonly><noinclude></includeonly> and <includeonly></noinclude></includeonly> tags in the newsletter template itself should work. I'll try it now, and it will hopefully fix all future issues. Dendodge TalkContribs 15:29, 20 November 2008 (UTC)
The way I did it, just not even having it there, then reverting, is pretty easy though. Well, if it works, bravo. I'll watch here for answers. ++Lar: t/c 16:38, 20 November 2008 (UTC)
Damn! It didn't seem to work. Densock|Dendodgein public 12:19, 24 November 2008 (UTC)

RfA thanks

  The RfA Barnstar
Dendodge/Archives/2008, I would like to thank you for your participation in my recent Request for Adminship, which passed with 112 supports, 4 opposes and 5 neutrals. A special mention goes out to Stwalkerster and Pedro for nominating me, thanks a lot for having trust in me! In response to the neutrals, I will try to double check articles that have been tagged for speedy deletion before I CSD them and will start off slowly with the drama boards of ANI and AN to ensure that I get used to them. In response to the oppose !votes on my RfA, I will check that any images I use meet the non-free content criteria and will attempt to handle any disputes or queries as well as I can. If you need my help at all, feel free to simply ask at my talk page and I'll see if I can help. Once again, thank you for your participation, and have a great day! :) The Helpful One 22:05, 25 November 2008 (UTC)

Help desk

Hi Dendodge. Please be careful when using templates at the help desk. I refer to your edit here where you incorrectly advised a user to go to the reference desk in response to a perfectly valid help desk query. Help desk users struggle enough as it is to try and find the most appropriate place for their query without having templates erroneously thrown at them.
