McBrien Administration Building moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, McBrien Administration Building, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Hello, I would like a greater explanation for why my article has been nominated for complete and total obliteration? DenbyDoo (talk) 01:16, 29 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
Look at the AFD, it would have the reason. Sea Cow (talk) 01:19, 29 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
I placed the old page I posted through the Earwig's Copyvio Detector and it found little-to-no copyright violation in the sections under "Mayor of Martinez." Any copyright being detected is in the "Early life and education/Business career/Political career 1996-2002" and those are mostly names of places he worked or committees he served on. I request an explanation for why you keep deleting my finished section titled "Mayor of Martinez," but not the sections that actually have "copyright violations." I'm really confused by this. DenbyDoo (talk) 02:37, 29 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
Ay caramba! You are right, that was a massive mistake on my part. I was under the wrong assumption you wrote that part. Gawrsh darn it. I've deleted the copyright warnings from your page. Sea Cow (talk) 02:50, 29 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
Thanks! DenbyDoo (talk) 02:52, 29 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

March 2022 edit

Hello, I'm Sea Cow. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Rob Schroder, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Sea Cow (talk) 01:07, 29 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hey Sea Cow, if you re-add it I'll go back and add the citations, sorry about that, usually I go through and edit the page all at once and at the citations once I'm finished for the day. DenbyDoo (talk) 01:14, 29 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
It's Wikipedia policy that you add citations when you add the content, not in a later edit. Just go to page history, and edit the version before my reversion in order to add the citations. Sea Cow (talk) 01:16, 29 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
Alright, sorry. Thank you. DenbyDoo (talk) 01:17, 29 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

I came here to say the same thing, please stop adding uncited material. CT55555 (talk) 01:17, 29 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Please refrain from making test edits in Wikipedia pages, such as those you made to Rob Schroder, even if you intend to fix them later. Your edits have been reverted. If you would like to experiment again, please use your sandbox. Don't have a million extra unfiled subsections, go work in your sandbox instead until they are written.. Sea Cow (talk) 01:30, 29 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

There SeaCow, is that better? I'm honestly trying my hardest and appreciate the feedback and apologize for violating nay rules, I'm good intentioned, I swear. DenbyDoo (talk) 02:08, 29 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
Not really, if you go to https://copyvios.toolforge.org/?lang=en&project=wikipedia&title=Rob+Schroder&oldid=&action=search&use_engine=1&use_links=1&turnitin=0, you copied and pasted quite a bit, which is against policy. Sea Cow (talk) 02:09, 29 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
I would just like to point out a lot of the items you claimed a I copied and pasted are literal names of places and things:
- Commercial Casualty Underwriter Training Program at the Home Insurance Company
- University of California, Berkeley
- Budget Subcommittee, Marina Subcommittee, Solid Waste Subcommittee, City/County Liaison Committee, Downtown Flood Task Force, Economic Vitality Task Force, Downtown/General Plan Update Subcommittee, Interim City Manager Subcommittee, and Internet Subcommittee.
- Transit Authority (County Connection), the Bay Area Economic Forum representing the Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG), and the city liaison to the Martinez Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
Not to mention the fact I explicitly emailed Mr. Schorder before hand who allowed me to use the information in his interviews - if that at all matters. DenbyDoo (talk) 02:17, 29 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
It was this sentence. "the Budget Subcommittee, Marina Subcommittee, Solid Waste Subcommittee, City/County Liaison Committee, Downtown Flood Task Force, Economic Vitality Task Force, Downtown/General Plan Update Subcommittee, Interim City Manager Subcommittee, and Internet Subcommittee." Sea Cow (talk) 02:18, 29 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
Please, I realize you have good faith, and you are learning the ropes, don't be scared away. You aren't trying to make Wikipedia worse, actually, it's the opposite. This is normal for anyone, the rules are quite hard to navigate, I'm going to keep a eye on your contributions so you can learn from your mistakes. :) Sea Cow (talk) 02:11, 29 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, I appreciate it. DenbyDoo (talk) 02:14, 29 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Continued Vandalism of the "Jared Bernstein" Page edit

Question for administrator edit

<Multiple right-wing users, notably Kentucky Rain24, are repeatedly changing a literal economists title from "economist" to "musician" because he has a degree in music. They've been warned MULTIPLE times and continue to engage in this disruptive behavior, and as a result these claims that Bernstein is a musician pretending to be an economist are being echoed across right-wing circles, with Don'tWalkRun recently using the Wikipedia page in his video on the topic. Multiple people across time have held degrees in topics not relating to their career field, including the father of economics himself, Adam Smith, who studied philosophy. I request this page be corrected, locked, and any users who intentionally edited this page for political reasons to be IP banned immediately> DenbyDoo (talk) 19:46, 21 May 2024 (UTC)Reply

If you have a complaint about a particular editor, take it to a venue like WP:ANI. If there is a content dispute at the article, you can use the normal tools for resolving it. I caution you, though, that your comments constitute personal attacks and you risk being blocked for making them.--Bbb23 (talk) 22:07, 21 May 2024 (UTC)Reply
