List of Deadwood episodes

I noticed you removed the David Milch credits that I added to List of Deadwood episodes. I personally think it's appropriate to credit him for every episode since he wrote damn near every line of dialogue of the series. While it's common for show runners to do uncredited re-writes, Milch basically rewrote every episode from scratch and I think the writing credits should reflect this. It's also supported by several third party sources, including the one that I added. However, if you feel this is unnecessary, I understand and won't contest it.–FunkyVoltron talk 18:52, 23 June 2009 (UTC)

Miami Vice (film) Theatrical/director's cut

I moved the list on Miami Vice to the talk page. I hadn't see the history prior to the removal (I saw that you were reverted), but all of the content is stored on the talk page, if anyone wants to whittle it down. I invite you to comment there for discussing what content should remain. --Happy editing! Nehrams2020 (talkcontrib) 06:52, 24 June 2009 (UTC)

If you go to the Batman Begins Wiki page the dvd release is listed in the section of "Home media". Do you want to revert that title as well???

Note

After my recent experiences on Johnny Depp and looking through this, I'm coming to the conclusion that a trip to WP:AN/I is inevitable. Wildhartlivie (talk) 09:02, 25 June 2009 (UTC)

Aw geez, did he do that?? I basically am fed up with what I have found and I honestly think it is time for this guy to be stopped, since he doesn't seem willing to do so himself. I was gobsmacked (gee but I love that word) when I put together the history and realized just how pervasive and non-discriminatory the behavior has been. I've seen precious little productive editing and mostly contentiousness that needs to simply disappear. I'll let you know if (when) I post it to WP:AN/I. I'll be asking for a permanent block. Wildhartlivie (talk) 22:15, 26 June 2009 (UTC)
It wouldn't have surprised me had done so. I have no doubt it will be handled just the way you said, which is why I went ahead and assembled the evidence the way I did. It will take little to revise it to third person and post the whole thing at WP:AN/I and I suppose I decided to save a little work when I am annoyed by it being called vandalism. It is really discouraging to find that kind of contentiousness being used routinely. Wildhartlivie (talk) 22:49, 26 June 2009 (UTC)

Ultimate World Championship

I've been watching videos for about two years of kurt angle in japan and them repeatedly mentioning him being "one of the very few elite to accomplish the feat of being an Ultimate world Champion" that whole time I knew that there had to be a page on wiki about it but there wasn't so i made it this title since only 3 men have accomplished it should be included I will continue to look for articles that talk about it but I haven't found any yet the page should be saved for the people who want to learn about these thing regardless of whether or not YOU think its made up —Preceding unsigned comment added by Freshman5000 (talkcontribs)

See "watching videos for about two years of kurt angle in japan" does not fit WP:RS. Who are you? Not anyone who fits RS. And "the page should be saved" is an appeal to the effort put in, and I don't agree. So far no one agrees with you that this is notable, or even real. Darrenhusted (talk) 23:07, 26 June 2009 (UTC)

Thats not at all my point they always talk about how prestigious the title is even Mike Tenay has commented on the fact that TNA holds two of only three of the men to ever achieve the feat in the kurt vs jarret rematch it is a lesser known accolade because it is so rare if more people accomplish it will be more noted but as of right now only six men of millions of wrestlers in the world are in the range of this title and by "the page should be saved" I meant that it is informational so why would you hold away information thats the point of wiki —Preceding unsigned comment added by Freshman5000 (talkcontribs)

Wikipedia is not for things made up by any user. It is not information, it is you trying to make something out of nothing. Darrenhusted (talk) 00:23, 27 June 2009 (UTC)

Shakin' Pyramids

Would this have been nominated had we not had our little tiff? Not a chance. Go ahead... I've no affinity to the band, I merely thought it would help enrich the project. The band were quite notable in central Scotland and supported the likes of Men At Work in the 80's.

So much for "unbiased editing"... it's this sort of bias that will forever render Wikipedia as a source of humour rather than a genuine factual resource. Brendan Heron (talk) 21:44, 27 June 2009 (UTC)

Who said I was unbiased? I am biased against articles which do not belong on Wikipedia. And I look through the revision histories of all editors, I have PROD-ed, CSD-ed and AfD-ed plenty of articles. Darrenhusted (talk) 23:10, 27 June 2009 (UTC)

Glenn Close in "The Shield"

Glenn Close was billed as a regular cast member during Season 4. You're thinking of Forrest Whitaker who was always billed as a guest star. Therefore, Glenn Close should be in the infobox, and Forrest Whitaker shouldn't. Plain and simple. Geeky Randy (talk) 07:08, 10 July 2009 (UTC)

Seinfeld

Please explain this revert. The paragraph talks about the cast going out of their way to avoid saying the word "masturbation" so it is most relevant to point out that the actual word itself was said by George several episodes before that. Hearfourmewesique (talk) 14:00, 13 July 2009 (UTC)

The issue is saying the word "masturbation", in addition to the subject. Therefore, it is not trivial, but important to mention that although in "The Contest" they did everything not to say it, George did say it in "The Ticket". This is very clear from the paragraph:

Much publicity followed the controversial episode, "The Contest," an Emmy Award-winning episode written by co-creator Larry David, whose subject matter (masturbation) was considered inappropriate for primetime network television. To circumvent this taboo, the word "masturbation" was never used in the script itself, instead substituted by a variety of oblique references.

Wikipedia is not an RS. Darrenhusted (talk) 00:58, 18 July 2009 (UTC)

So you're not an Admin, just a wannabe?

So you're not an admin, just a busybody? You take up valuable space on Jimbo Wales' Userpage to harass a complainant, even though you're not a complainant yourself? Just because someone has been reprimanded or banned by the likes of you, doesn't mean it's warranted in the slightest. Admin or not, you're one of aforesaid many: Intelligent, arrogant, hateful and hypocritical. 70.244.105.46 (talk) 00:43, 18 July 2009 (UTC)

Not a busybody, but like many I have Jimbo's userpage and talkpage on my watchlist (to watch out for vandalism mainly), and David Tombe has used Jimbo's talk page as a soapbox to complain about one other user. I reviewed the diffs and as someone uninvolved with the two users commented at ANI. Tombe was permanently blocked, then unblocked and now may be blocked again. As for everything after your first sentence I don't quite get it due to your poor sentence construction. As a matter of correction I didn't take up any space on Jimbo's userpage, however I did point out that Tombe had complained to Jimbo on a previous occasion. I have no idea what the "banned by the likes of you" refers to as I'm not an admin, so can't ban anyone, although I have had users who have broken the site rules blocked, by requesting that an admin block them. I don't know what "you're one of aforesaid many" means, and "arrogant, hateful and hypocritical" is not a correct description of me, you may have me confused with some other editor. Klaveno

Hiyya, I saw Mariana's name in the opening credits for the episode of True Blood last Sunday. I'll look to see if she also has lead credits in this upcoming episode. But when you wrote "The word "starring" at the top implies current and Mariana Klaveno has not appeared on the titles" were you referring to the opening credits or something else? Thx. - Owlmonkey (talk) 08:28, 25 July 2009 (UTC)

After an afternoon of intense edit wars (too long to go into, you'll have to check the article talk page) the article has been fully protected until we can come to an agreement on the Housemates section. Overlink on Seinfeld.

I've got your message but I'm curious about this. I mean, I have no part except to make sure the article works right. Judging on your history, you left a warning about overlinking. I wonder what's the reason behind this. Is there articles like this where the overlinking is such an issue that there should be a one side policy, telling editors this is how you want it? You want people to know that you're in charge, you do what I say? I don't want people to go too far with their policies and expect editors to become so monotonous that from now on, overlinking should be banned from every article. If there's no middleground, all is left for me to say is I'm wrong and you're right because they will stop at no end about being number one and there's no place of sharing ideas. By the way, I did read the rules to overlinking so don't worry about that. Johnnyauau2000 (talk) 11:22, 29 July 2009 (UTC)

Star Trek

Thank you for comments on my contributions to the article.

You are right in that I cannot speak for the production team. However, nobody else can, either. The fact is that someone has, without citing any references. So, whereas your argument is not actually, valid, I will ommit any mentioning of the "inenention of the production team".

Otherwise, my contribution is not "original research".

Please note that you have wiped-out large portions of text that had existed in the article prior to my changes. I am going to put them back, together with my "non-original-research" changes.

Please work WITH me, not against me. If I have "overlinked", please tell me where it is, and why you think it is an overlink. You can suggest modifications to that.

If you feel very strongly about your version of interpretation, may I please suggest that you sort it out with me ? You can even mention, in the article itself, any "debate" that you think exists, conveying a message that things can be viewed from more than one viewpoint.

I appreciate your help.

--Shimon Yanowitz (talk) 12:36, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

that you have wiped-out large portions of text that had existed in the article prior to my changes. I reverted to the last version by PDThor, there has been nothing lost. Nothing you added was supported by sources, and you speculate about the ages of Shatner and Nimoy, other statements in the lead are supported later in the article, nothing you added was. Please don't re-add warnings to other user's talkpage. Users are within their rights to remove them, and it serves as an indication that they're read and understood those warnings- not allowing them to do so forces users to keep warnings as a badge of shame. So long as the reason for removing them is that he has read and understood them, rather than is ignoring and trying to hide them. As he gave no edit summary for the blanking I wanted to make sure he understood that removing them does not make them go away, or give him licence to make a fifth revert. However he has dropped back into old habit wikilinking a term which does not apply to the use of alternative reality, so he does not appear to be listening.
