I have a small dilemma here. The σ-algebra article currently denotes measurable spaces by (X, Σ) or similar (though there is a typographical comment mentioning alternative fonts). In probability, however, X is a standard notation for a random variable. I could (a) not worry about it and let the context of the section or subsection determine the proper meaning of X, (b) use a different letter such as Y for a random variable, or (c) change everything to measurable spaces denoted like (Ώ, B). --Daren Cline (talk) 15:42, 11 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
