Redirect needs to be deleted

Hello. Taxonomic redirects like those are not common so it needs to be deleted. Also, you add the article to the Gardena disambiguation if it hasn't been done. Cheers, ZooFari 20:21, 27 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Gardena brevicollis

edit

You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.

Thank you.

The article Gardena brevicollis has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Please also note that articles must be on notable subjects and should cite to reliable sources which verify their content. Please only repost the article in a form that meets these standards. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. —C.Fred (talk) 20:21, 27 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Bay Trail Middle School

edit

A tag has been placed on Bay Trail Middle School requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Front page?

edit

Hello! You put something on my talk page. I don't quite understand the message. Did the Monica C. Lozano article make Wiki's front page for some period? If so, I am very excited because I think it would be the first time a page I contributed to/created was featured there. --ACRSM 14:43, 21 October 2009 (UTC)

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits. The next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did to First Flight High School, you will be blocked from editing. You have been cautioned about edit tests/playful edits, more than once. Unless you improve your understanding of what the encyclopedia is, and how to edit it, you will eventually be unable to edit.- Sinneed 22:16, 24 October 2009 (UTC) - Sinneed 22:16, 24 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

First Flight High School

edit

Hello. Please do not use articles as a place of discussion as you did here. Obviously, you knew that what was added should not have been there, so instead of telling them about it in the article, you really should have removed it and posted the message on their user talk pages. It seems that the article has become somewhat of a playground for the students, and obviously it will have to stop one way or another. Thank you. Apparition11 Complaints/Mistakes 21:12, 25 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

I edited my thopughts there so the issue at hand would get more attention. It looked like a group effort of some freinds. Thay seemed to have planned it ahead of time.--Daniel L. Barth (talk) 00:19, 26 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
Yeah, I think you're right about what happened, and they're now blocked, so, hopefully, that's over with. Next time if you want to get other editors' attention, a more acceptable method would be to post your comment on the article's talk page or at a place like WP:Editor assistance. No harm, no foul, just for future reference, you really shouldn't place in the article itself. Cheers! Apparition11 Complaints/Mistakes 00:38, 26 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
I will try to do that in the future. I might forget sometimes though.--Daniel L. Barth (talk) 00:45, 26 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

  • Blocking administrator: not provided.

Decline reason: You are not blocked. If the block on User:Giveleft2 is causing you to be blocked, that indicates that you are using the same ip address to edit. I reviewed some of your edits; all of the ones I looked at were non-useful, and made it appear that you don't quite understand what kinds of information are useful in an encyclopedia article. They're very similar in style to the edits of User:Giveleft2, and made to the same article. I'm okay with leaving this block in place, since it seems likely that you are the same person, and if you aren't, you're making the same kinds of unhelpful edits. — FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 00:42, 26 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

I have reviewed every edit you have made to article space. Here they are:

I see you are editing again. Today, you made this change. This has several problems: WP is not a news source. It is an encyclopedia. There was no citation to back it up. Even if it were cited to the school newspaper, that is not a generally reliable source. The wording was way too excited... this was not a headline in a tabloid, nor a lead-in to an expose... it was the body of an encyclpedia article.- Sinneed 01:38, 27 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
