Hello, DaGizza, thank you for signing up to participate in Esperanza's trading spaces program. As you requsted to have your user page renovated by another user, Master of Puppets will be renovating your userpage. Please contact [[User:Master of Puppets|Master of Puppetson their talk page about the renovating. The renovating will be listed at Wikipedia:Esperanza/Programs#Undergoing_Renovation, please feel free to update the status as it changes. Enjoy!

Hey there! Sorry that I took so long to come back to you, but here I am :D I was just wondering, did you have anything in mind? I.e. organization, colour scheme, etc. _-M o P-_ 18:11, 30 April 2006 (UTC)Reply
Hmm... sadly, I'm addicted to Show/hide, so I'm pretty much making all the pages I renovate the same (:(). However, I can still make a variety of different styles; anyway, for pages I've renovated, try User:Kalathalan, User:Tawker, started on User:EWS23/sandbox. And how about a green/blue/teal scheme? Of course, it can all be changed later. _-M o P-_ 12:14, 1 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

May the Force be with you. edit

Dear DaGizza/Archive/7,

Thanks for voting on my RFA! I appreciate your faith in me, and was overwhelmed by the positive response to my RFA; for it shows that at least I'm doing something right. :) I've started working to improve myself already, and I hope that next time, things run better, and maybe, just maybe, one day we can bask on the shores of Admintopia together. Thanks and cheers, _-M o P-_ 21:55, 3 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Portal:India/Selected article removal candidates edit

Hi! The template for Portal:India/Selected article removal candidates was not made, and I tried to make it. However, the result Template:Pisarc is not ok. It is not functioning perfectly as can be seen in the talk pages where this has been put, for example, Talk:Raja Ravi Varma and Talk:Cheese. See that the template shows the name of the article once again at the end! I have already contacted Nichalp (talk · contribs) in this regard. You can also help to resolve this technical matter.

Many articles in Portal:India/Selected articles deserve to be delisted as they are either not india related or do not meet the criteria. I cannot but say that it seems from the list as if many articles were chosen by the whims of the editor Shyam Bihari (talk · contribs) rather than going through the prescribed procedure. Please see. Regards.--Dwaipayan (talk) 10:51, 4 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hi! You being an administrator, can take up the job to simply deleting those articles from the India SA list. However, as you are busy with exams, I have also contacted Sundar (talk · contribs). Regards.--Dwaipayan (talk) 15:32, 5 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Esperanza Newsletter, Issue #3 edit

The Administrator Coaching program is a program aimed at preparing Wikipedians for Adminship or helping them understand the intricacies of Wikipedia better. Recently, changes have been made to the requirements of coachees. Please review them before requesting this service.
This would be something like the Welcoming Committee, but for people who have figured out the basics of editing articles; they're not newcomers any more, but they might want some help in learning new roles. Some might like suggestions about how to learn vandal patrol, or mentoring on taking an article to featured status, or guidance with a proposal they plan to make at the Village Pump, for example. In this way, Esperanza would help keep hope alive for Wikipedia because we would always be grooming the next generation of admins.
The Stressbusters are a subset of Esperanza aiming to investigate the causes of stress. New eyes on the situation are always welcome!
Note from the editor
As always, MiszaBot handled this delivery. Thank you! Also, congratulations go to Pschemp, Titoxd and Freakofnurture for being elected in the last elections! An Esperanzial May to all of the readership!
  1. Posting logs of the Esperanza IRC channel are explicitly banned anywhere. Violation of this rule results in deletion and a ban from the channel.
  2. A disclaimer is going to be added to the Esperanza main page. We are humans and, as such, are imperfect.
  3. Various revisions have been made to the Code of Conduct. Please see them, as the proposal is ready to be ratified by the community and enacted. All members will members to have to re-confirm their membership after accepting the Code of Conduct.
  4. Referendums are to be held on whether terms of AC members should be lengthened and whether we should abolish votes full stop.
  5. Admin Coaching reform is agreed upon.

Indian Cricket Graph edit

Sorry for the delay in replying. I'd love to contribute an image or two to a potential featured article, but unfortuantely my university semester is getting closer and closer to exam time. As you might notice my editing has pretty much dropped to zero recently. I'll see what I can do, but I can't promise any images any time soon.

Sorry I can't be more definate. Raven4x4x 09:32, 10 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

India map edit

Hi, DaGizza, thanks for your vote on the blank-India-map. I could have really jazzed the image up using different colours. Unfortunately though, the colours are recommended by the Maps wikiproject. (see the nomination text), else I could bring it up to the level of my other FP: image:Goamap.png. Regards, =Nichalp «Talk»= 10:36, 12 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Curious about music edit

Hi, I was reading your very interesting userpage and noticed that you stopped to listen to "music." Firstly, out of curiousity, are you referring to "Western music" and secondly why did you stop? Thank you GizzaChat © 08:56, 12 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

I'm not really sure what "Western music" would be. Nevertheless, you're not the only one to have this question. See my 25-April response to David Kernow. joturner 23:48, 12 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Heavily concerned edit

I have a query and a question!

I dont believe any of the cleanup work done to the North Queensland Cowboys page has been beneficial. I even think it has been an attack on an article because other people dont follow or have the same views. This is against wiki policy. You are not allowed to do this.

Why bother putting the article on the cleanup site if you cant clean it up. I have not seen one little bit of positive work done on this article from day one through the clean up policy. If you want to help work on the page then do so but dont go removing endless information if you arent going to edit the page properly. Work with the page, wikify the page but dont just remove information to make the page fit to article size. Very dissapointed in the way the article has been handled.

Question: How can one person have an article added to the cleanup page when their very own page is in need of cleanup itself? I have had a long run in with a person named dan who continually attacks my page because he feels the article has no sources. My page has an enourmous amount of source and is more than informative. I looked at the Brisbane Broncos article which is edited by dan and his sourcing is woeful and his history section is POOR to say the least. You cant go around shooting other peoples work down if you arent looking at yourself first.

May this war end quickly and peacefully. I and many other rugby league article editors are starting to get a little tired of people like dan personally attacking other pages and I and many others support me on this. Let this be resolved quickly before it becomes one big mess.

thanks edit

Hi Gizza - I'm very sorry to have disappointed your expectation in me, but it had become impossible for me to compromise my principles. I don't covet adminship at all, so it wasn't a difficult decision. However, I cannot tell you how greatly joyous I feel at the enthusiastic, wonderful support you expressed for me. I don't know how hard it will be to understand that your supports means extremely a lot to me. I thank you from my heart, and please let me know if I can ever be assistance or help in anything. Orphaned fair use image (Image:Cricket Manager.jpg) edit

This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Cricket Manager.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that your image can be used under a fair use license. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If your image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why your image was deleted. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. —Bkell 07:18, 18 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Nq Cowboys edit

Mate, Just went onto the computer and saw that the North Queensland Cowboys had their team of the decade removed and the team badge logo timeline removed also. In the discussion area the team of the decade was up for discussion yet dan removed it anyway. Also Dan never at any stage asked in the discussion section if it would be okay to remove the logo timeline. I am rather discusted in his actions as he is simply just editing the page to what he likes instead of giving the article its required cleanup. I am yet to be fully satisfied that the cleanup actions that have been undertaken are of any good. I was very pleased with the history section edits and the record and stats but no how they removed the team of the decade or even the grand final team. My anger boils up when I see people just edit willy nilly and go overboard. There was no need to remove the team of the decade. And what was wrong with the logo timeline? Can you please address this? I am very pleased however as I said with the other edits dan has done.

Sukh's RFA - Thanks! edit

Thank you for your vote on my RfA. Unfortunately there was no consensus reached at 43 support, 18 oppose and 8 neutral. I've just found out that there is a feature in "my preferences" that forces me to use edit summaries. I've now got it enabled :) Thanks again. Sukh | ਸੁਖ | Talk 15:44, 20 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

My RFA edit

Thank you, DaGizza, for voting in my RFA. It closed with a final result of 75/1/0. Now that I am an administrator here, I will continue to improve this encyclopedia, using my new tools to revert vandalism, block persistent vandals, protect pages that have been vandalized intensively, and close AFD discussions. Any questions? Please contact me by adding a new section on my talk page. Again, thanks to all of you who participated!!! -- King of 23:11, 20 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

VandalProof 1.2 Now Available edit

After a lenghty, but much-needed Wikibreak, I'm happy to announce that version 1.2 of VandalProof is now available for download! Beyond fixing some of the most obnoxious bugs, like the persistent crash on start-up that many have experienced, version 1.2 also offers a wide variety of new features, including a stub-sorter, a global user whitelist and blacklist, navigational controls, and greater customization. You can find a full list of the new features here. While I believe this release to be a significant improvement over the last, it's nonetheless nowhere near the end of the line for VandalProof. Thanks to Rob Church, I now have an account on test.wikipedia.org with SysOp rights and have already been hard at work incorporating administrative tools into VandalProof, which I plan to make available in the near future. An example of one such SysOp tool that I'm working on incorporating is my simple history merge tool, which simplifies the process of performing history merges from one article into another. Anyway, if you haven't already, I'd encourage you to download and install version 1.2 and take it out for a test-drive. As always, your suggestions for improvement are always appreciated, and I hope that you will find this new version useful. Happy editing! --AmiDaniel (talk) 02:14, 21 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Re: Bollywood Channel edit

Perhaps you got the wrong impression, it wasn't like a movie channel. SBS gives a movie every week, but for April they showed only Bollywood movies and accompanied it with some more Bollywood-related stuff. But for the Comm Games some cinemas gave only Bollywood films for entire days. In April, everyone's awareness of Bollywood increased tenfold (at least in Victoria). What about my adminship? edit

Hi, we definitely need many, many policies and changes at Hindi wikipedia. Thats why I wanted to become an admin. But I don't know the results of the last election, wherein I stood for adminship as a candidate. What happened to my claim/request? Cygnus_hansa 04:40, 24 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hindu motivation edit

I don't really know what to do about that. It's spring time, so most people are out having fun especially fellow students. Even the Indian projects seem kind of dead. I tried get come collaboration going with Wikipedia:Naming conventions (Indic) but now it seems the Wikipedia:Naming conventions (Dharmic) seems better off by itself. It couldn't hurt to make a Hindu award but I don't really think it will really motivate that many people. I'm kind of stumped about the motivation. Maybe find out who are the core people who are still active and edit one article at a time. We especially need references for many articles.--Dangerous-Boy 22:01, 24 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

by the way, can you archive the template on Wikipedia:WikiProject Hindu mythology like you did on Wikipedia:WikiProject Hinduism. That was rather helpful.--Dangerous-Boy 22:23, 24 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

New Partizana Stadium edit

Why did you remove the deletion notice for New Partizana Stadium? Not only is that information in the article false and have no sources, but there is already an article on that, with the EXACT same kind of information. (Only with the correct information, and with a source: Partizan Stadium). There is really no point of having 2 articles about the same kind of information. I'm looking forward to your reply. Regards,   Krytan talk 03:13, 28 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

File:Atlanticpuffin4.jpg Hello DaGizza. Thank you for your strong support and defending me at my request for adminship to enable that things could run smoothly. Of course, I feel that your flattering statement in my Editor review was also highly influential, as it was quoted by many RfA participants and strongly contributed to the overwhelming and flattering result of (160/1/0) was in large part, and leaves me in a position of having to live up to a high standard of community expectation.
