For instance, in the Venice article, you referred to not "using our country in your list". Wikipedia is not comprised of people editing and guarding the articles of their respective countries to make them look as good as possible. One should take a neutral stance and include only factually-accurate information, without any consideration to their feelings for their country. Language & economy chart

Hello, Crosswords. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. You recently added a chart captioned "The languages that have the most impact on the World Economy" to the article Language. Your edit summary said, "adding good example". The rather large chart is not an example of either language origin or the study of language, the sections just above and just below the chart. IMF PPP Data

I noted your comment/revert on the GDP PPP illustration in Eurasian Economic Union using IMF data. Thanks for highlighting that. What's your recommendation? Use IMF 2013 nominal GDP and factor in OECD PPP data?

But a differnt question: it was an illustration without discreet numbers and was only intendet to put things in perspective. Do you think the age of the IMF PPP data makes such a big difference (for the top ten)? And it wasn't even ordered. --Aeroid (talk) 19:43, 2 June 2014 (UTC)

DRN request

Your request for dispute resolution at the Dispute Resolution Noticeboard has been removed. The immediate reason was because we do not accept manually filed requests. To make a request at that page, please click the "Request Dispute Resolution" button in the header at the top of the page. However, if you had made your request in the proper way, it would still have been immediately closed because all moderated content dispute resolution at Wikipedia requires extensive talk page discussion before requesting assistance and I cannot find any such discussion in regard to this dispute. Finally, if this is, as I think it may be (I'm not certain), a dispute over the name of article, then the proper forum for such disputes is not any of the regular dispute resolution processes but instead, Requested Moves, so if I'm right about that, give RM a try. Just a heads up

You probably should take a couple of minutes and review Wikipedia:Canvassing. Some of your notifications for ANI are fairly obviously an attempt to attract only users you expect will agree with you, because you expect they will agree with you. TimothyJosephWood 15:20, 10 December 2016 (UTC)

I didnt know that. But still i dont see what what was wrong with it: lets see at my complaints: harassment, i invited people that felt harassed or saw it and warned him. I didnt see anyone else i could have invited to talk about him. Over activity, deleting other peoples messages are issues of himself or myself. And as can be seen i didnt invite the other people who got their messages deleted too. So how is my selection biased?

And i find it extremely unfair how the case was closed without me getting the chance to reply to @Sagecandor and the other replies to me. For example the notion that there is nothing wrong with his over-activity, i forgot to ad proven statistics that there is something wrong and its not normal for an average Wikipedian. https://en.wikiscan.org/user/Crossswords https://en.wikiscan.org/utilisateur/Sagecandor

And then i forgot to add various examples where he threatened (or implied to) people to be banned from editing for disagreeing without having this authority, you can scroll up to see what i mean. One way or another, the argument that an editor is a nefarious actor because they spend, on average 5 hours and ten minutes on Wikipedia per day, is not going to go anywhere, and probably does little but make you look paranoid.

Of course, if there is persistent disruptive behavior, there is nothing preventing you from opening another thread, but I would probably make sure I had my ducks in a row before I went that route. Spamming high profile noticeboards may be construed as a form of WP:HARASSMENT if done so without substantial evidence. TimothyJosephWood 15:18, 12 December 2016 (UTC)

Lenin lede image

Hi Crosswords, and thanks for your interest in the Lenin article, which I brought up to FA status last year. The lede image which you have added is certainly an aesthetically nicer one, but the information provided about it at Commons does not specify when it was first published, only when it was actually taken. That means that the copyright tag appended to it is totally spurious and thus we are prevented from using it on Wikipedia. It's frustrating, I know, but that's how it is. Speaking about this, yes, this seem to be supported by sources, and his comment was ridiculous. However, I think that collecting ridiculous and hardly notable statements by various people and placing them to their BLP pages is a really bad practice and against our BLP rules. Per Capita GDP

There are two tables provided by the UN Statistics Division, and the one that should be used in the article is this one, with the constant dollars. It's from the same source that you are using, just a different table. I never imagined this would be controversial... If you have a problem with this we can discuss the matter on the talk page @ World War II casualties of the Soviet Union. I suggest that you take the time to read the article by Mark Harrison Counting the Soviet Union’s War Dead: Still 26-27 Million, Harrison is an expert on Soviet and Russian affairs, his bibliography is posted on the link to his article. Hey, I'm not sure I'm following your reasoning for this edit. You removed the Latvian spelling of his name, citing it as "Western washing", leaving only the anglicized version. This is the name sometimes used by Nichiporchik himself and tinyBuild, e.g. in the company's IPO filing and investor overview. If there was an official and reliably sourced Russian/Cyrillic rendering, we could include that as well, though I have not seen him or a reliable source use that yet. I fail to see how the inclusion of a self-used name imposes an identity on him since we are not mentioning an ethnicity anywhere. Clarification would be appreciated. Hello, his name in Russian is called (Алекс Ничипорчик), you can search it in Russian New article. The name Nichiporchikcan is mostly found in Russia and Belarus. Its not easy to find facts or the personal opinion for the ethnical background of an indie developer on the internet obviously, so I thought its better to not translate it at all as it would obviously imply an ethnicity for readers. Latvia has a large population of Russian speaking citizens with Slavic background, while the language has no official status, so the shareholder name could be filled this way by law or other reasons.--Crossswords (talk) 06:10, 18 April 2021 (UTC)
