Response regarding "Rats (song)" article

Hi ConClaviConDio. To address your comments:

1. Metal Injection is considered a usable source. See WP:RSMUSIC. Do you have a particular concern with the way its actually used in the article? It's not used to source the fact that its on Prequelle. The things it is used for, like the 1980s and Ozzy influences, were pretty commonly found sentiments, so it doesn't strike me as controversial.
2. Feel free to reword it as you see fit. The point I was trying to make was that the song was the first to be released by Tobias Forge and a new lineup. Regadless of the details of the lawsuit or the "band's lore", it is Forge and a new backing band, correct?
3. If you'd prefer we switch it to the exact journalist, whoever wrote it at Loudwire, that's fine by me. But the observation was made by the source, and is valid content. It is also not reception. Reception features value judgements, based around quality. Saying it was good, bad mediocre, whatever. Simple observations, like calling it similar looking to Thriller, which is the current content used in the article, is fundamentally not reception.
4. Loudwire is a usable source per WP:RSMUSIC. It is not being used to source the album's release date, it was being used to source the fact that it was the debut single from the album. If you'd like to provide a second source after it confirming the date of the album release, go for it, but that seems unnecessary considering the release date is sourced at the album article and relatively non-contentious.
5. Feel free to add this if you like. I don't personally track down that sort of information in the song articles I create because of the general irrelevance of physic singles in the modern age, but I also don't remove it if someone else wants to dig it up with a source.

Also, you seem to allude to this edit of yours, which I removed. Personal Wordpress blogs are generally not considered reliable/usable sources on Wikipedia, so it was removed more on those grounds. As I noted in my edit summary, the director could be worth noting if you find a better source to verify it. Not sure it particularly matters that it was recorded in February though, nor do we really need a brand new section for one single sentence though. Sergecross73 msg me 14:50, 21 June 2018 (UTC)
