CASSIOPEIA

Dear CASSIOPEIA, UFC 249 cancelled? Regice2020 (talk) 07:46, 22 March 2020 (UTC)

Regice2020, Hi, I need to move to another city tomorrow before my government shut down the states over here on Tuesday as the situation here (COVID-19) is changing very quickly and fluid. As urgent matter at hand, I could only you on your request when I settle down in the coming days. My apologies. Cassiopeia(talk) 12:08, 22 March 2020 (UTC)
Regice2020, Hi, As of March 24, 2020, the UFC 249 is still on -see here. Cassiopeia(talk) 09:26, 24 March 2020 (UTC)

UFC Fight Night: Woodley vs. Edwards

Hi 29cwcst, Again dont need to link country see -MOS:OL. Thank you. Cassiopeia(talk) 05:43, 10 March 2020 (UTC)

Have it your way Cassiopeia(talk), but make sure it applies to all UFC event pages from now on. Nobody had an issue with me linking countries on other such pages. — 29cwcst (talk) 23:40, 22 March 2020 (UTC)

29cwcst Greetings. You need to ping me on "your talk page" so I know you send me a message. I will reply your message on your talk page instead. Cassiopeia(talk) 09:21, 24 March 2020 (UTC)

UFC Fight Night: Smith vs. Teixeira

Hi 29cwcst, Please do not remove the location as Wikipedia is viewed by all editors around the world. Some viewers might not know the cities in United States. Thank you. Cassiopeia(talk) 05:45, 10 March 2020 (UTC)

Very well Cassiopeia(talk), but make sure the same also applies here. Regarding the United States and UFC event pages, nobody had an issue with me removing locations either. Besides, if those editors/viewers you mentioned could actually be bothered to click on the link(s) provided, it wouldn't take them long to find out what country that city is in. It's not like they couldn't just research it themselves, or are they really that lazy? — 29cwcst (talk) 23:55, 22 March 2020 (UTC)

29cwcst Greetings. You need to ping me on "your talk page" so I know you send me a message. I will reply your message on your talk page instead. Cassiopeia(talk) 09:21, 24 March 2020 (UTC)

Draft:Society of Teachers of Family Medicine

Any reason why Draft:Society of Teachers of Family Medicine should not be moved back into article space? It's much better sourced than it was when it was moved from article space to draft space soon after its creation. Thanks --Presearch (talk) 06:06, 22 March 2020 (UTC)

Presearch, Hi, I need to travel and move to another city tomorrow before my government shut down over the states here on Tuesday as the situation here (COVID-19) is changing very quickly and fluid. As urgent matter at hand, I could only you on your request when I settle down in the coming days. My apologies. Cassiopeia(talk) 12:08, 22 March 2020 (UTC)
No apologies needed, and the request is not urgent. Good luck in making your move -- and stay safe! First things first! -- Presearch (talk) 22:19, 22 March 2020 (UTC)
Presearch Hi, Thank you for your patient. As per your draft article, there are many sources which are paper version and I cant access to the sources to do the review. You need to wait for other editor to do the review for you. My apologies that I cant help you on this request. Best. Cassiopeia(talk) 09:17, 24 March 2020 (UTC)
CASSIOPEIA, thanks, but it's not my article, it was created and built up by someone else (Rewster). I've never edited it at all, but I recently added material that linked to it (or more precisely: linked to where it would be). Looking at the article history, I see that you moved the article very quickly (for reasons opaque to me) from article space into draft space (just 9 hours after it was created). In the nearly 3 months since then, I see that the original creator (Rewster) has patiently built up the article, and there are quite a few references. Yes they are offline. But I'm confused, perhaps because I'm not fully familiar with how the draft article system works. Why must we adopt a sort of "guilty until proven innocent" stance with regard to offline references? Why not just WP:AGF and move the article to article space, where it would have been all this time if it had simply been tagged, as typically happens to new articles that have not yet been built up and linger in that condition for awhile, instead of having moved it to draft space. Is there some aspect of the article or editor history that I don't understand (or should have looked for? As I say, I'm not familiar with the draft article system)? Meanwhile, I hope your travel went well and you are now in a safe place. Thanks --Presearch (talk) 17:12, 24 March 2020 (UTC)
@Presearch and Rewster:, Greetings and thank you for your wishes. I am safe, away from the highest COVID-19 city. It is just like many countries, we are facing unprecedented changes, and huge problems nationwide. We are being locked down nationwide even between states. Foreigners are banned to enter for next 6 months and we are banned to travelled abroad. It is a trying time for the whole world which we have never experienced before.
I moved the page to draft space because there is no source provided - here--1. Wikipedia's 'Draft' namespace was created to provide a 'safe harbour' from deletion for pages under construction/ far from sufficiently developed or sourced for publication (see - WP:NPPDRAFT) where by the creator could add relevant and multiple independent, reliable sources. Do note, when a draft space is reviewed and accepted by a WP:AfC reviewer (Article for Creation / draft space), it will go through another review by the new page (NPP) reviewer before the page is actually in the main space until the AfC reviewer is also a NPP reviewer. Even if the article is accepted in the mainspace but if any editor thinks the article is still not meeting the notability guidelines, the article can be nominated for WP:AfD in regardless how long the article existed in Wikipedia. Both articles in AfC (2.5K) and NPP (7.8K) are in huge backlog for review, so kindly be patient. Since you and Rewser is a confirmed editors, any of you can move the draft page to article space and the article would be reviewed by a NPP reviewer instead of a AfC reviewer. I am both a AfC and NPP reviewer, for such if I move the article for you then the article will be reviewed. I cant do so as stated before as I cant access to the print sources to confirmed the content is supported by the sources provided. Please do note, the sources can be in digital or print version and sources also can be in any languages as long as they are independent and reliable. Thank you. Cassiopeia(talk) 09:49, 25 March 2020 (UTC)
Thanks for the explanation. It sounds dicey to try to accelerate the process by simply moving the page. I expect I'll just wait. But with so many lockdowns, I imagine it could be longer than usual before someone manages to do a review with printed references found in an open brick-and-mortar library. I wonder if the page will still be a draft at the end of 2020? Anyway, at least for the mid-term future, I expect to simply wait for the process. Thanks again -- Presearch (talk) 23:58, 25 March 2020 (UTC)
@Presearch and Rewster:}} We have about 600+ reviewers for AfC and NPP respectably but only around less than 100 who are actually active reviewers. From my experience, some might disagree with me, NPP would accept the new page with less strictness as per AfC due to different processes even thought majority of the guidelines are the same; however, it will also depend on the reviewer as there is some variant of the acceptance overthought we do have acceptance guidelines. The draft will stay in the draft space for 6 months from the last edit before it is nominated for deletion. If the draft is deleted, the creator can ask for WP:REFUND. Due to the current COVID-19, and shutdowns, I would say the the backlog might take a ittle longer than usual to get the articles to be reivewed. I have no been active for the last week on reveiwing article in both AfC and NPP and there are so many times going around these days. in Stay safe. Best. Cassiopeia(talk) 06:38, 26 March 2020 (UTC)

Linking

Greeting, As per
(1) MOS:LINKSTYLE -"*As explained in more detail at Help:Link § Wikilinks, linking can be "direct" ([[Riverside, California]], which results in Riverside, California), or "piped" ([[Riverside, California|Riverside]], which results in Riverside in the text, but still links to the article "Riverside, California"—although the pipe trick is an easier way to create this particular link)."
and
(2) Wikipedia:WikiProject Mixed martial arts guidelines and ] on location - "In the column Location, try to include, whenever possible, city and country according to how they are names in their respective articles in Wikipedia. For example, "Las Vegas, Nevada, United States" or "Tokyo, Japan". In some countries, like the U.S., the name of the cities may be the same in different local regions, such as Hollywood, Florida and Hollywood, Alabama, so, in order to avoid confusion, include the full city name as it is titled in its Wikipedia article. To maintain a similar format for all cities in the location column, try to include the similar existing redirects for cities that do not include the local region after the city name in their Wikipedia articles. For example, use the redirect Osaka, Osaka instead of Osaka."
So pls dont separate the city and the state in linking. Thank you. Cassiopeia(talk) 02:35, 13 March 2020 (UTC)

Fine, fine, fine. But why is that a problem? Why does that bother you? My links direct users directly to the articles mentioned! For pages on cities that include a state in the title, users can just search the state instead. Also, what is this format for all cities in the location column you mentioned? If users click on the article link, any article link, it should link them directly to that article. What's the point in redirecting if the title's not accurate? Seriously, page formatting here is confusing and messed up. — 29cwcst (talk) 00:30, 23 March 2020 (UTC)

29cwcst Greetings. You need to ping me on "your talk page" so I know you send me a message. I will reply your message on your talk page instead. Cassiopeia(talk) 09:21, 24 March 2020 (UTC)

Shayan TV

Good day! I cannot understand what is causing some users to pollute this page? Only two days after my correction they return and make vandalism another time. Is it the destiny of less popular pages? None of this users has an account in English wikipedia or another one, but there is a "regular guest" with coordinates 2.147.55.10. If you have an ability, maybe, it is possible to block him. Фәрһад (talk) 09:00, 25 March 2020 (UTC)

Фәрһад Greetings. I have warned the editor - see here. Wikipedia is an open system, which means anyone can edit. Most editors make constructive edits but we do have some vandalism the pages. You can revert and warn the editor (start with lvl 1 and increase the warning level on subsequent vandalism edits). You can report the editor to WP:AIV if the editor makes the 5 vandalized edit after receiving lvl 4 warning. Pls read WP:V to understand what constituent a vandalism edit. Thank you. Cassiopeia(talk) 09:55, 25 March 2020 (UTC)
Thanks! Фәрһад (talk) 13:12, 25 March 2020 (UTC)

Name change??

Hey CASSIOPEIA (or should I call you Cassiopeia now), I noticed you changed your name! I must not have been paying attention because your signature looks pretty similar. Now, it might not be my place to ask, but was there a particular reason that you changed your name? The curiosity got the best of me so I figured I'd ask you directly :). Cheers, Utopes (talk / cont) 04:20, 26 March 2020 (UTC)

Utopes Greetings. I wanted to have my username in sentence case when I registered but it was taken. An admin suggested sentence case would be better and I tried to get the sentence case username usurpated. With the help of a few editor/admin I was lucky to get it change. So now I am Cass. Take care and be safe. Best. Cassiopeia(talk) 06:56, 26 March 2020 (UTC)

I saw that some of your archives spoiled into here after you recently changed your username. It is a redirect so you need to click the redirect to see the archives that got spoiled there. I noticed it when I was looking at the page history of this page. I am just letting you know of a bug in the archive system. Interstellarity (talk) 00:20, 31 March 2020 (UTC)

Can you help?

Hi there, I wanted to contact you because I know how great you've been here and there has been an issue that's been going on a while in regards to a user completely messing up pages. They've had temporary bans from mods before but soon as that's lifted they just do it all again and it's becoming tiring and a lot of work. Someone has recently reverted some edits from user https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/80.229.183.199 which you can see on the E.Y.C. page however this person has been constantly vandalising Wikipedia for so long, specially the pages E.Y.C. and Express Yourself Clearly as well as a few others which myself and various editors have had to clear up some of the biggest messes (they kept randomly pasting in loads of text and totally messing up tables). It's also been reported but nothing was ever done yet they continue to do this (I believe they've also had a few user pages too), if you see their talk page you'll see the edits they have done, both the EYC pages are messed up (again) and they will keep constantly doing it until something has been in place. I don't have time to fix the pages again (and quite frankly I'm tired of doing it) so could you please help because people seem to be stuck here in regards to this. See the talk page on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Exallonyx and read the sections about the E.Y.C. pages (they also found they messed up Crazy Frog a lot too and some other various random pages which you'll see in the conversations there) as this is another editor who was having to fix the pages and it's just becoming tedious doing so. It's just getting really tiring that's all, thanks :) Music Editor 2017 (talk) 01:01, 21 March 2020 (UTC)

Just to add, if you look at the E.Y.C. edits and see the user Kealanw I'm pretty sure this is the same person but see what you think. Music Editor 2017 (talk) 01:10, 21 March 2020 (UTC)
Music Editor 2017 Good day. I need to check the history log of the pages you mentioned to know what is the issue here. Let me come back to you in two days time as I will be travelling tmrw. Cheers. Cassiopeia(talk) 09:15, 21 March 2020 (UTC)
Cassiopeia That's absolutely fine, I wouldn't mind if they contributed to it properly but you'll be able to see anyway when you spend some time there and on Exallonyx's talk page with their responses too. It just gets really tedious having to fix it all the time however have a lovely time anyway and enjoy your trip :) Music Editor 2017 (talk) 15:10, 21 March 2020 (UTC)
Music Editor 2017 Hi, I need to move to another city tomorrow before my government shut down the states over here on Tuesday as the situation (COVID-19) is changing very quickly and fluid. As urgent matter at hand, I could only you on your request when I settle down in the coming days. My apologies. Cassiopeia(talk) 12:08, 22 March 2020 (UTC)
Cassiopeia You don't need to apologies, honestly, it's all good and hope you're ok :) Music Editor 2017 (talk) 19:33, 22 March 2020 (UTC)
Music Editor 2017 Hi Sorry for the wait. It has been crazy for the last few days that most things were ordered to shut down including states' borders and restricts foreigners to enter AUS for the next 6 months. Things will get worse when the virus hit it peak in Africa and the poorer nations.
As for your request above, do note (1) if any editor makes a WP:Vandalism, you can use WP:Twinkle to warn them, starting from level one and increase it accordingly with the subsequent vandalism edit. Once it reaches the 5th vandalism edit you can report them to WP:AIV. Please note to add wrong link, is NOT a vandalism edit. You can send a personal note to the editor and communicate with them so they may know what they have done. Pls read WP:Vandalism to make sure you understand what constitutes a vandalized edit. Secondly, if "multiple" editors vandalised a page, you can report it to WP:RPP (request for page protection). Hope this help. Cheers. Cassiopeia(talk) 10:04, 24 March 2020 (UTC)
Hi there, this honestly really confuses me. Honestly this person has constantly vandalised the pages and just keeps pasting loads of text onto them making them a mess (took me ages to fix a table once too). I've been trying to get the help for a while but just keep constantly given the above. Please see their edits and the talk page of the person I linked above with all the EYC page conversations, we need someone who knows what they're doing with this because I have reported it somewhere too which went into a list and was ignored. I can't seem to get the help from anyone as it's all similar responses above, they've been doing this for ages now I'm surprised no one has stopped this as they've already had warnings which you can also see on their page and on the Exallonyx talk page where he's also tried to stop this and found lots more from them, thanks. Music Editor 2017 (talk) 12:34, 27 March 2020 (UTC)
Edit: They've just done the same on the point Break page too. Look at the mess they've made that page now, that's a complete mess and they've just pasted loads of rubbish completely ruining the page (it's barely even about the group anymore). This is what they keep doing, I've been asking for help for ages as the stuff above confuses me, I need someone to help, Thanks. Music Editor 2017 (talk) 12:38, 27 March 2020 (UTC)
Music Editor 2017 If you talking about these edits, it is not vandalism edits. The section "Performer and Other songs" sections are unsourced and can be removed and send a message to the editor of "unsourced" message. And if the editor keep on adding unsourced content, then we could increased the unsourced warning message according and when it reaches the fifth edits then we would report them. I understand you are frustrated, but you need to understand what constitutes WP:vandalism and secondly, communication is the most important things to inform the editor if they have done something incorrect. The thing is that Wikipedia is an open system, which means any editor can edit Wikipedia pages as long as they edit constructively (not vandalize the page). Some editors might not know when they make disruptive edits or might not know some of the guidelines. We need to inform and educate them. It is not that I dont want to help, but you need to provide hist diff (see how to provide hist diff here - Wikipedia:Simplest diff guide) for any edits you think are a vandalism edits so I may help. I you are interest in fighting vandalism and would like to be trainee for WP:CVUA program, then pls sign up. Cheers. Cassiopeia(talk) 08:43, 28 March 2020 (UTC)
Cassiopeia I've already shown you they just keep pasting lots of text onto pages that's nothing to do with them and ruining them. I've also shown you their page, the talk page with the other person also saying how mad this is, the alias page which also has a load of pasted random text on there, I can't even believe you can't even see this because it doesn't need explaining when you see it. I genuinely appreciate your time but it seems like people are only interested when it's a topic of interest to them, it's vandelism, clear as day (other performers, that page is about the band Point Break they've just pasted random rubbish in like they always do). I'm tired of this, it takes a little look to see from what I showed you in my original message and there is no debate. Honestly it doesn't matter, I just had some faith that's all as you are a more experienced editor than me and I don't understand all that stuff you've linked at the moment, this is why I asked for your help. I'll try get some help elsewhere but thanks though, honestly :) Music Editor 2017 (talk) 00:42, 29 March 2020 (UTC)
Music Editor 2017 I am one of the counter vandalism trainer and I am here to help on "any pages" that involved vandalism. The thing was the edits which made by user 80.229.183.199 on Point Break (group) are not considered vandalism but unsourced which can be removed and we would place an "unsourced message" on the editor talk page. What you think is vandalsim might not as per Wikipedia vandalism definitions. I have removed all unsourced content on Point Break (group) - see here-1. This edits here 2 and here 3 on Do We Rock and Stand Tough are considered vandalism and it was reverted and a warnings have been placed on the editor talk page. I will monitor the user edit log for the next few days and if the continues to vandalise the page, then I will report them. Cheers. Cassiopeia(talk) 01:42, 29 March 2020 (UTC)

This is crazy, look at the text on the Point Break page that's at the top, they've pasted that in which is nothing to do with the band "In 1997, a version of the song created by advertising agency Leagas Delaney[1] was showcased on the BBC in a lengthy corporate promotion of its diverse music coverage which was broadcast on BBC channels and in cinemas. It featured Lou Reed himself and other major artists in what the Financial Times described as "an astonishing line-up of world class performers".[2] In reference to the licence fee, the film ends with the message "Whatever your musical taste, it is catered for by BBC Radio and Television. This is only possible thanks to the unique way the BBC is paid for by you. BBC. You make it what it is." This message appears over the repeated words "You're going to reap just what you sow" which The Guardian described as "a none too subtle message: keep writing the cheque."[3] In response to accusations from commercial competitors that the corporation had wasted vast sums on the film it was revealed that each artist received a "token" £250, which was at the time the minimum pay for a performance on BBC.[2]" - Also the E.Y.C. pages they keep on pasting over and over again just loads of random names to the pages, they've been doing it for years. I am so, so shocked you can't even see this with their history, the other editor noticed it straight away and was shocked by it. It's really really baffling how you're defending such disruptive and crazy edits but I guess this is what Wikipedia want. Honestly, take some time to study their edits and come back to me, there is no way in this world you will not see any benefit in what they are doing other than constantly ruining articles they keep targeting. please, do some research!!

I'm on my phone so please accept my apologies if this comment doesn't display as normal as I'm not used to the mobile version but please, please do some research. Thanks Music Editor 2017 (talk) 00:31, 31 March 2020 (UTC)

UFC Records Books

CASSIOPEIA, UFC has release UFC Record Book is that good for source? Regice2020 (talk) 06:37, 3 April 2020 (UTC)

Regice2020, G'day. There are 3 types of sources. (1) primary sources - are original materials often written by people who are directly involved. They offer subjective views of events and are not considered independent. (2) secondary sources - provide an author's analysis and concepts based on primary sources, usually at least one step removed from an event. Secondary sources can be independent or not. and (3) Tertiary sources - publish compilation of the information found in primary and secondary sources. These include encyclopedias and many undergraduate level textbooks. For Wikipedia we secondary sources are considered good sources. If UFC Record Book is considered primary sources if the data and the author is associated with UFC. We could use primary source sparingly but the sources cannot contribute to the notability requirements of the subject/article. Let me know if you need further assistance. Stay safe and best. Vandalism training

@Cassiopeia: Hello. I would like to be a student of yours to revert vandalism. Currently, I use Huggle to revert. I sometimes don't know if I should keep an edit as it is or revert it. I struggle knowing what warning template I should use on users. Jcoolbro (talk) 22:33, 3 April 2020 (UTC)

Jcoolbro, Greetings. Thank you for interested in counter vandalism. Pls have a look the "Goals" and "Syllabus" sections below to understand the requirements needed at the end of the course in order to graduate from CVSCHOOL.

Goals

If you're new and/or inexperienced, before embarking on a Counter-Vandalism training programme, you should be able to demonstrate that you have already mastered the basic principles of editing the encyclopedia and contributed at least 200 edits to MAINSPACE. If you have previously been warned or requested to follow guidelines, you should have demonstrated that you have addressed these issues.

When you have shown through training that you have mastered the principles of Counter-Vandalism and can apply them with accuracy, and can communicate correctly and effectively with new users of all kinds you may be able to apply for permission to use restricted tools, such as, for example Rollback, and STiki that will enable you to semi-automate the process, while understanding that speed alone is not essential - the target is accuracy. When you have achieved these goals, you can display the {{User CVU0-en}} userbox on your user page.

Syllabus

Competency Fail Pass
Knowledge and Understanding of Concepts

Able to correctly define and describe:

  • Cannot describe these concepts at a comprehensible level.
  • Unable to differentiate the difference between vandalism and good faith edits
  • Does not understand the key purpose of reverting vandalism
  • Can concisely and elaborately describe each of these concepts.
  • Can describe the proper use of warning templates and how to correctly make an AIV submission.
Critical Thinking

Able to review historical reversions and identify whether such reversion were correctly categorized

Correctly assessed fewer than 85% of the examples provided by their instructor. Correctly assessed at least 85% of the examples provided by their instructor.
Communication

Able to effectively communicate with other editors regarding reversions

Communicates inconsistently with editors via talk page comments or in response to editors who question or challenge their reversions. Communicates in a polite and professional manner and avoids biting other editors and harsh comments.
Application

Effectively applies the concepts and tools of vandalism fighting in a productive and proficient manner.

  • Cannot consistently revert vandalized pages correctly.
  • Is inconsistent in use of warning on user talk pages or uses incorrect warning templates
  • Has reverted fewer than 50 instances of vandalism in the two weeks prior to graduation – or – has reverted more than 50 instances of vandalism with a high degree of incorrect reversions.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in performing reversions, either manually or with a tool (Twinkle, etc.).
  • Consistently leaves the correct messages on vandal’s talk page explaining the reversion, and is able to further explain the vandal their reasoning behind the reversion if prompted.
  • Has accurately reverted at least 50 instances of vandalism in the two weeks prior to graduation.

Please note that there are many editors who were interested in counter vandalism course and abundant the program mid way due to lack of anticipation of the amount of efforts/time needed in reading the program material, doing assigned "homework" and exams requirements . The program has no timeline set, as the editor would progress through the course work at their own time. Generally, it would take an editor 1.5-2 months to finish the course. So do prepare yourself for lots of reading and homework if you intend to proceed with the program and do let me know the reason for interested in this program. Let me know if you intend to proceed. Stay safe and best. Cassiopeia(talk) 09:16, 4 April 2020 (UTC)

Hi, I couldn't find your reply easy from the notification however I managed to see from the Point Break (group) and E.Y.C. (band) they have now been fixed by someone (thank you!). Please listen to me about this person constantly disrupting these pages (and a few others Exallonyx found, see here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Exallonyx and look at the EYC topics). The person (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/80.229.183.199) has been a nightmare for a long time, they just constantly paste random walls of texts, names or broken links on articles and have made a lot of work many times for editors to fix (specially when they've messed up tables). They've already had temporary locks on their account but for some strange reason are still managing to disrupt articles making it very difficult for those who have to revert it all. Someone needs to take over who knows what they are doing and thanks. Edit: I've just noticed someone has managed to sort this and they have a temp block. I guarantee once this block is over they'll do it again so please keep an eye on this and thank you. :) Music Editor 2017 (talk) 11:49, 6 April 2020 (UTC)

Music Editor 2017, The editor got blocked for 31 hours and went back to vandalise pages after block has been lifted and got the second block for a month. Stay safe and best. Cassiopeia(talk) 12:02, 6 April 2020 (UTC)
Ok thanks, please know I'm on my phone at the moment so apologies for missing scripts however keep an eye on them after the month as I'm sure once the ban is lifted and they catch wind of it they'll do it again, they've been doing this for years (as mentioned before with the registered account). Music Editor 2017, No worries. Stay safe. Cassiopeia(talk) 10:31, 7 April 2020 (UTC)

Re: CUVA

Good day Cassiopeia!

I've just enrolled under your class on CUVA last night. It's an honor to be learning under your guidance. Best regards. Gardo Versace (talk) 05:13, 17 May 2020 (UTC)

Gardo Versace. Good day. Thank you for interested in CUVA program. It is not an issue where you are from as I would usually respond within 24 hours. Pls see the CUVA Syllabus here. Kindly note that there are many editors who were interested in counter vandalism course and abandon the program mid way due to lack of anticipation of the amount of efforts/time needed in reading the program material, doing assigned "homework" and exams requirements. So do prepare yourself for lots of reading and homework if you intend to proceed with the program and kindly let me know. Thank you. Cassiopeia(talk) 09:34, 18 May 2020 (UTC)
@Cassiopeia: Sorry, for replying late, I just saw this reply and this didn't go into my notifications. I am still interested in pursuing the course and I'm prepared to do a lot of readings. I have begun reading the course syllabus and began re-reviewing the rules of Wikipedia. Although, the big question I have about it is how are assignments given and is there a time limit to doing assignments? Best regards. Gardo Versace (talk) 17:40, 18 May 2020 (UTC)
Gardo Versace, I was told by one of my trainees that ping was not working at the moment. The program doesnt have a time line, but most participants finish the program in 1-1.5 months, depending how much time you have to work on the assignment. If you have any personal things to attend to and cant working on the assignment in more than 2 weeks, then just let me know, so I know you will be back to work on it in time. You need to know how to provide hist diff and note, pls do not revert more three time within 24 hours on the same article unless it is "blatantly vandalism edit" for you will be blocked (very important). Lastly do remember the motto of CUVA is Civility – Maturity – Responsibility. Program will be set up for you trm. Stay safe and best. Cassiopeia(talk) 09:36, 19 May 2020 (UTC)
@Cassiopeia: Will take all of these to heart! Thank you for the opportunity to learn under your wing, am going to make the most out of this to develop myself further as an editor. Thank you. Warmest regards Gardo Versace (talk) 10:22, 19 May 2020 (UTC)

Can you train me?

Hi, i am Editor who wants to learn how to stop vandals on Wikipedia. Hope you respond. Levthecooldude666 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Levthecooldude666 (talkcontribs) 02:54, 20 May 2020 (UTC)

Levthecooldude666 G'day. To participate in CUVA program, an editor needs to have at least 200 main space edits. At present, you have 6 edits and none of them is in mainspace. Pop back here when you meet the requirements and at the meant time, I suggest you to take up WP:ADVENTURE to familiar with the basic Wikipedia guidelines. Stay safe and best.
