Help for submission not accepted

Thank you, Avs5221, for the feedback on my submitted article. Could you please provide me suggestions for improvement? My original submission was modeled after the Wikipedia article "West Palm Beach Public Library." It has a notice that is appears to be written like an advertisement etc (since November 2010) so I attempted to use less puffery.

My second revised submission was so bare bones with just historical data that I am confused what I need to remove so it doesn't sound like an advertisement. We are a municipal library that should also be included with the other public libraries already included in Wikipedia. I am agreeable to making the appropriate changes. I have already reveiwed the many help sections on writing Wikipedia articles but I must be missing it. Thank you for any help you can give me. I used the help desk for review of the draft. Suggestions for submission not accepted

Avs5221,Is the comment "Recognizing the challenges of remaining relevant during changing times, the Boca Raton Public library offers a wide variety of educational and recreational opportunities to the public. [6]" the puffery? The intent of the rest of the paragraph was to be educational and reference outside sources regarding the changing environment of libraries. Would it be better eliminated entirely?

I agree with your comments regarding the last sections. Originally there was much more information included which I deleted to meet the first rejection's suggestions.. I will work on a revisement. Thank you for your help. Boca Raton PL (talk) 06:12, 30 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

September 2012 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that the username you have chosen, "Boca Raton PL", seems to imply that you are editing on behalf of something other than yourself. Please note that you may not edit on behalf of a company, group, institution, product, or website, and Wikipedia does not allow usernames that are promotional or have the appearance of shared use. If you are willing to use a personal account, please take a moment to create a new account or request a username change that represents only yourself as an individual. You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and remember that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. Jarkeld (talk) 08:53, 30 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

September 2012 response to Jarkeld edit

Hi, Jarkeld, You have helped me recently in editing my article for submission. I changed Boca Raton PL to Sea Lark and Boca Raton PL is redirected to Sea Lark. When another reviewer avs5221 rejected my second revision their responses went to Boca Raton PL. I am not intentionally using this talk page but that is where the responses are going to - what am I doing wrong - when I use ```` it gives the Boca Raton PL. I am the originator of the submission and I requested the username change which was done. I am not intentionally trying to violate any policy. I also added full disclosure that I am an employee of the Boca Raton Public Library. Please advise how I can correct this. How can I get the reviewers to send to Sea Lark? The other libraries in Boca Raton are represented in Wikipedia and I am trying to add information to Wikipedia to show the complete picture instead of having some information missing in Wikipedia. Thank you for your help. Maybe you didn't like the kitten I sent you before? Just a friendly joke. User talk:Sea Lark

Hi, I liked the kitten, but the problem is that you recreated the previous username and are once again editing with it. If you log out and log back in with your Sea Lark account and only use that account everything will be fine and according to policy. I did try to bring this to your attention on the 23rd, but I guess you probably missed that. Jarkeld (talk) 13:24, 30 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

October 2012 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames that give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy.  You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username doesn't represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice. If you prefer to be unblocked for the purpose of changing your username to a username which complies with our username policy, so that your contributions with this username are recorded as contributions of your new username and rather than creating a new account, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice instead. Thank you.
