Hello Wikifiers!

Sorry this Newsletter is late, It should have gone out a month ago. I've been very busy in real life and didn't have time to get over to the newsletter. In this edition of the Newsletter, we have an editorial written by our new executive coordinator; Guoguo12. Guoguo12 has succeeded Mono due to an indefinite wikibreak. We also have the results of the February and March Mini drives.

Happy Wikifying,

Sumsum2010, the assistant coordinator of WikiProject Wikify

Glad I could help, couldn't bear to see you let down ;) There's script you can try regarding DYK's by adding
importScript('User:Shubinator/DYKcheck.js'); //DYKcheck tool

to your vector.js meaning you can click on DYK check in the toolbox and it will tell you (approx) if it's ready. WormTT · (talk) 08:44, 21 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Non-Free rationale for File:Justiceleaguedark.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Justiceleaguedark.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under Non-Free content criteria but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a Non-Free rationale.

If you have uploaded other Non-Free media, consider checking that you have specified the Non-Free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 20:50, 26 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

File:IMAG0173.jpg edit

Hi Benny. I would rename the file above but your request is at the wrong website. You uploaded the image to the Wikimedia Commons, a sister site. We can use all Commons images natively here, but the image itself is not hosted on this site and so no changes to it can be made here. You have to make your request to have it moved at the Commons.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 12:28, 29 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Sorted it now (hopefully). Cheers for the help. Next time lucky, eh! Benny Digital Speak Your Brains 14:00, 29 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

DYK for Justice League Dark edit

Materialscientist (talk) 08:02, 1 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Just wanted to say well done for getting this on the main page - I honestly didn't think it was going to make it! WormTT · (talk) 08:40, 4 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
Nor did I. Lesson to self, shouldn't get complacent, need to keep up the focus on making sure it's up to scratch first! Cheers for all your help on this, and all the help you're always bloomin' doing! Benny Digital Speak Your Brains 08:48, 4 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
No problems. I meant to wander over and say well done before but I've been distracted with my RfA and a flood of new adoptees! It's a stressful life here on Wikipedia and no mistake. By the way, if you get time, you should have a look into getting some of these articles up to good article status. I'm sure you can do it! WormTT · (talk) 09:08, 4 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
Actually I was going to bother you about this, but I saw that you had a lot on, so I thought I'd leave it for a bit... Seeing as you've mentioned it though- Could you have a brief glance over at Hellblazer and let me know what you think the main things it would need before sending it for a review would be? Quite happy already at getting it from Start to B, but now I'm getting greedy! Any help, as ever, much appreciated! Benny Digital Speak Your Brains 09:20, 4 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
Never feel that I am too busy to bother, I'm always busy, it's how I like to be! As a brief glance, it looks good. I'll have a more in depth look at the sources - hopefully today but if not, certainly tomorrow. WormTT · (talk) 09:35, 4 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Re: Cheers! edit

Thanks for the feedback, my friend. I'm finishing a article about Byrne's Superman in pt.wp, but I've already gathered some references (in portuguese, hope there's no problem) about Hellblazer, dealing with some cool guys, like John aging in real-time. There's a brazilian magazine (article in portuguese about it) that once made a encyclopedia-like piece on the series, and I'm trying to translate some things to English to form a good "production history" section. Count with me to make this a really good article.

Hellblazer edit

I can help a little. I'm only up through issue #51 in my Hellblazer reading, so I'm not sure how big a help I can be just yet. Right now I'm mostly editing Wikipedia for work (knowing the protocols to write articles for all the artists on our record label), though.--Scottandrewhutchins (talk) 15:11, 23 September 2011 (UTC)Reply

Motéma Music. It's not my label. I work for it, but I have no creative control, and the president is the only talent scout. It specializes in jazz and world music, but is not necessarily restrictive. --Scottandrewhutchins (talk) 17:58, 24 September 2011 (UTC)Reply
