WP:CVU status edit

The Wikipedia:Counter-Vandalism Unit project is under consideration to be moved to {{inactive}} and/or {{historical}} status. Another proposal is to delete or redirect the project. You have been identified as a project member and your input as to this matter would be welcomed at WT:CVU#Inactive.3F and at the deletion debate. Thank you! Message from Rui Resende edit

This post has been removed by myself. I have no idea what the heck He was on about, or why it involved me, but I know that I have nothing in the world to do with what the message mentioned. I have no control over it, and do not understand why it was posted here in the first place! Sorry Rui, I think you must've got muddled... :) Thor Malmjursson 11:47, 4 September 2007 (UTC) Reply

Okay, okay... edit

Listen, I swear I heard Superted's magic word on either one of the two episodes, "Superted and the Magic Word Pt.1 or Pt.2. I know for a fact Superted's word is revealed as Bulk says "Ta-Daa!" I remember it word for word! In fact, I can give you proof if you want. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gentlemen (talkcontribs) 13:58, 7 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Re: Template:User tpi-0 edit

Thanks for letting me know. I've fixed the version on the Tok Pisin wikipedia too now. If you have some facility with Tok Pisin and some time (ha!), feel free to contribute there - that project has been dormant for a long time (and has seen some unfortunate episodes in the last few months) but now has a very small community of fairly active editors, building it (almost) from the ground up. Lolicon oversimplification edit

I noticed your reason for voting a delete... while I guess what is called simulated pornography would in some cases be included under the label, plenty of things and images (or even slang) are included under the label (including its use as a noun for a appreciators) which do not actively depict sex, nudity, or genitalia, or sexual actions or behaviours or even sexuality at all. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Astro boy.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Astro boy.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 14:53, 5 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

b) See a...
c) Why the heck are you asking me?  :) I don't smoke and although I have seen these machines, I would not use them.

Speedy deletion of Template:User Wikijuniorhelper edit

A tag has been placed on Template:User Wikijuniorhelper requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{transclusionless}}</noinclude>).

Thanks. --MZMcBride (talk) 19:48, 20 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Reply: Undo of IP Edit on Maya and Miguel edit

I don't have any strong objection to the restoration of the reverted edit, but I don't think it adds anything important to the entry. The section is about the characters, and the anon edit simply recounts (in a poorly written way, I might add), a single event that doesn't seem necessary. That particular IP has a history of dubious edits to a number of pages, so I didn't give the edit the benefit of the doubt, but, in looking at it now, I still think that if the info is to be included it need to be rewritten and integrated better. Thanks for following up on this. I don't know much of anything about this particular series, but end up spending way too much time following vandal tracks into children's TV articles. Nice to know somebody is looking out for this one. Majorclanger (talk) 14:26, 28 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Replaceable fair use Image:Peter maffay.jpg edit

Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Peter maffay.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? BlueAzure (talk) 02:40, 26 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

RDA Systems what the crap edit

deleting the article on RDA Systems. It's not spamming when the article is about how important the company was in the 80s and 90s , and provides no link to the companies website nor talks about their products! It's just a history of the company...much like you would find in an "encyclopedia" Ixasilent (talk) 18:52, 17 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
