February 2016

Greetings. At least one of your recent edits, such as the edit you made to Thirupadiripuliyur_railway_station, did not appear to be constructive and has been or will be reverted or removed. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make some test edits, please use the sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Please look at other articles too. If you feel that Frequency is not required, there are many important articles which have the frequency listed (e.g Chennai Egmore). Most articles have it. @Karthik S: The very beginning of the WP:NOTTIMETABLE states that Simply replicating information from published timetables, or repeating information (such as train times or service hours) which is subject to frequent change, may be considered directory writing. and that includes all part and parcel of a published timetable, as they are best to fit in Wikipedia:Wikivoyage per WP:NOTTRAVEL. If u come to know other stuff exists, be bold in rectifying and enforce the relevant policies. Thanks for understanding. --βα£α(ᶀᶅᶖᵵᵶ) 21:49, 18 February 2016 (UTC)

I agree frequency is not needed but trains which do not stop at this station must be placed in a separate table as this information will be deceiving for the readers. Karthik 09:33, 22 February 2016 (UTC)

Madurai Junction railway station

There's a user who is bent on adding the fact that it is one of the cleanest railway stations which in my opinion is just not notable for an encyclopedia. This user was involved in a similar conflict on the Mysore article where he went on to add whatever he felt was right despite explaining to them. He is hell bound on adding what he feels is right rather than sticking to policies. Could you please deal with it since I don't want to end being on the wrong side of the edit war? I have also cleaned up Madurai Railway Station article a bit.  LeoFrank  Talk 08:22, 24 March 2016 (UTC)

OK I got it. Now I am applying it to all railway station articles. Thank you. I didn't get you earlier. Moreover, it was not a time-table. Kiron Krishnan (talk) 18:35, 18 April 2016 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. Kota Junction Trains

Hi. I humbly request you to elaborate your reason for removal of Important trains section from article Kota Junction. You gave your reason as per WP:NTT. But it clearly mentions difference between stating "times of trains passing through station" (insignificant) and "no. of trains passing through a given station per hour" (significant). Moreover, the section you removed was just showing names of important trains halting at Kota station with their numbers and not their arrival time (which is often subject to change). How does it violate any Wikipedia policy ? Many Indian railway station articles show their respective halting trains. Timings of trains are subject to change but not the trains themselves (most often). If a train has a definite route (which all trains have), it will certainly halt at a given station on its route, unless the services of that train are stopped by government. So, please don't give misleading reasons for justifying your "Disruptive" edits which don't adhere to Wikipedia's policies. You made the article more under-detailed than before.

I am again placing section "Important Trains". If you think I made a mistake, you are welcome to revert my edits but before that, you must validate your reasons. Have a good day. Vibhss (talk) 12:34, 19 July 2016 (UTC)
