bruce "philosophy" coleman in 2008.jpg

i was born in 1981 january the eight in New Orleans. I went to Bradley elementary and from there went to Capdo junior high. after that i went to carver highschool and then finally to Frederick A. Douglass. i was always a class clown and trouble maker in school but i eventually started taking my life seriously. after i went to jail a few times smoked weed, drinking, stealing, partying and doing everthing else i could find wrong i decided to change.

once i changed for the better i was able to take my high school education seriously. i started reading books abouy my black history. i started to understand who i was and what i should be about (praises be to the most high). in my last two years of school i got involve in poetry/rap writting, and through my creative writting teacher i got involed in journalism. i was the editor and page designer of the city wide news paper called Our voice (my poetry also appeared in two books). this is were my idea developed to have my own publication, such as magazines and newspapers.

once i graduated from high school in 2000 i went to the navy. before the navy i was a christian then i became a muslum in the navy. after a while i left my muslum ways because they did not believe in jesus. i still did. after that i went back to drinking and smoking weed and i kept getting in trouble in the navy. despite all this i was able to travel and see the world from hawaii to australia. i got out the navy with a general under honarable conditions in 2003. after a while i became disabled veteran. by me being a disabled veteran i was able to have more time to focus on school and personal studies. i moved to houston after hurrican katrina hit new orleans.

i am now at the university of houston-downtown pursuing a degree in business mangement. one day i hope to fulfill my dream of having my own company dealing magazine and newspapper and also create my own movie company, and maybe have a black channel better then bet (more positive black movies). through my business i hope one day to up lift my people either finanically, physically or spirtually.

my religion belief have change since i was a kid. i now focus on the truth. my getting this truth is by overstanding the lies that i have precieved as truth over the years. when the truth comes people think it is a lie because they think they have the truth or they know better or feel better then others. through my new state of being i am able to give up my ego and selfish/emotional ways. i can focus on being one with the most high. i went from christianity to the muslum religion. i now do not follow no religion. I study factology.

i study the the holy bible and all religion with an understanding not to follow none of them, but to be independent from them. religion is a spell to keep us blind from finding the real truth. all religion gets their stories from ancient egypt. if you study you will find that the orginal man, first man was black (negroid). all the prophets in the holy bible from Adam and Eve, to Enoch, Noah, Abrabham, Issac, Jacob, Moses, and all the way down to Jesus are black people. The white man was grafted from us or he came from a curse which is leprosy (you can find leprosy and the story of the cursed seed in the bible). Yes the devil had physical children also. read genesis again. the devil is a physical being but society teaches us other wise to be scared and into spookism. you should read a book intitled Are There Black Devils by dr. malachi z. york or go to factology.com to find out more about the author.

Now do not get the two confuse i read the bible but i do not follow christianity. i believe in reading the bible in the language from which is was translated which is the hebrew language. for example i do not call the most high god i call him the hebrew name el elyon. my favorite bible script is psalms chapter 82: "you are Gods, and all of you are the children of the most high but you shall die like men." i follow the ways of my ancient egyptian ancestors. My egyptian name is Ba Atun Hotep. I would like to bless you with the information i know. Go to alleyesonegypt.net. click on books to order or review the books.

my personal relationships. today i am a single man. i am a man of truth, so out of my entire 27 years on this earth i only have had sex one time. i do not care about sex no more. i just want to live a postive life through the worshipping of the creater of the all-this great expanded universe. for i know now that i am one with the all and all is in me. i am a god. i am not the the creater. the first girl i could ever remember wanting was a sister name coretta grant. in those days i was shy and i never knew how to express my feeling to the oppostie sex. for many years i thought about those time realizing i have to move on. i use to think what if i told her what was in my heart would she have been mine? many years i was in search for the right women because i always feared i would be alone by my self one day. but know that i am alone i enjoy it. i have peace of mind and able to focus on the inner me. im glad i did not have a women and children because it would have tooking away from my personal self development. so in these days i'm more focused on me and being positive or a sin less man. perfect in the sight of our heavely father (AN).

i feel like there is no women in this world for me the reason why, i have left my first love, the women i believed that should have been mine to this day. but i have not giving up completely because i haved prayed to the creater of the worlds and heaven to bless me with a non religious, but spirtitually connected with the most high women. i believe in a natural women. some one who is natural in every way no fake nails, contact lens, perms or weaves. i lot of sisters do not realize they are living in the image of the beast. there are books that talks about that in further detail. in these days and time through obiedence and prayer i have over came my biggest challege, lust! i use the internet for a means of education. we are in the information age. it is time for us to wake up from our state of sleep (walking mummies). we must over come the lies that was giving to us by our former slave masters, wether it be religion, politcis, education, self development, televison, we must find and seek the truth. these are a list of authors you should look up online at amazon.com for there books. elijah muhammad, zecharia sitchin, david ike, anthony t. browder, and david hatcher childress. i would be happy to give you more books to check once we be come friends/associates just like i would want you to teach me things.

i consider earth to be a school referred to as "earth school" we are here to learn through trial and error. what we do on earth will define were we (our spirtit and soul) will go after we pass on. i would love to drop more knowdlege to help does who do not know. i am not a teacher i am a student for ever. when you learn something that is not the end of learning you will always have something to learn. you will not live long enough to learn everything about this earth and univierse. no human knows everthing so never put your self above any body else because you fell like you have accomplished something. to my sisters you should check out these books at amazon.com: the conspiracy to destroy black women by micahael porter, the godess blackwomen:mother of civilization by akil, stolen women:reclaming our sexuality taking back our lives by Gail Wyatt, one covering the black female body by micheal Bennett, and why black men love white women: by rajen persaud.

the teacher i would love to see again is Mr. Randels he was my white teacher i talked about earlier in my creative writing class. he help me over come my sterotype of all white people. which was all white people are the devil. through him i saw that all white people are not evil even though it seem that way because they rule the world. no one wins the race in racism. we must remember that devils can come in all races. devils can be black and white. mr. randells taught me about my culture through certain books he let me read. he also hipped me to artists such as the last poets and gill scott heroin. he taught me how to be a better writer and helped me through the school of journalism. I think the most high for this teacher.

i hope my old friends remeber from my energy and my creative abilities that we all have. i want my old friends to remember for the good things about me not the bad things.

to be truly happy i must be in heaven with our heavenly father.

some say life do not turn out the way you always expect it. but i believe that life is the way it suppose to be. my mistakes and sins made me better. like i said earlier we must learn through trial and error. my biggest suprise has been the fact that we as black people still or not free.

Question to me: If you get one do-over what would you do differently?

Answer:

if i could get one do-over i would become friends or got involved with correta Grant. (I changed my destiny by not following my instincts and feelings. lesson learned. like i said trial and error) my quote: "get something when it is there to be gotten, wait to long and it will be gone."

my words from true.com: well i'm currently in college pursing a degree in business mangagement. my goal is to one day have my own magazine and newspaper. after that i would also like to start my own movie company. this movy company would have positve movies and more black actors. i read all religon but i do not follow none of them. i am independent from all religion. we must over come this world by giving up our religious beliefs. remember all religion came from the stories and teaching of our ancestor in ancient egypt. my favorite quote is psalms chapter 82: "you are gods and all of you are the children of the most high but you shall die like men."

My favorite teacher of all time Mr. Randels:

Hi Bruce (or do you prefer Ba?)

It's very good to hear from you. I actually just read one of your old poems (My Only Serving) to one of our Douglass students who had written about her boyfriend in terms of an extended metaphor about candy. She, like you, also has a wide range of interests and is also writing philosophically.

We've been back at Douglass since it reopened after the storm. But the struggle there has become much more difficult primarily because of the state of Louisiana taking over all the schools that scored below the state average after the storm and not knowing how to work with young people from new orleans and really not caring about them.

We teach at McMain in the mornings now. kalamu is still around, teaching every day at both schools with me and fighting the fight for high quality public education. Gabrielle Turner and Ashley Jones are working with us now too and both are going on to get master's degrees and become teachers.

I'm going to attach here a big file of a book we have finished called the long ride. It has some new and old pieces and your pushing us to have black history courses as well as your prolific writing certainly contributed to making this book a reality.

We'd love to have you work with us in any way or to add some writings.

we've just started a blog on education week web site. you can check it out at edweek.org and maybe send in some comments there. we'll be sharing with the education world some of the writings of new orleans public school students.

keep in touch and keep learning. jim randels

hello Mr. Randels. Today I was at classmate.com looking for an old female friend, and when I was writing out my story for my profile the question came up who was your favorite teacher? I automatically thought Mr. Randels. So i thought about the S.A.C. program and I looked it up and I found your email. It was good to see my old articles and pictures. I would love to get my hands on the two books i was published in, and other books also. i would love to get involved with the S.A.C. program again.

you know after i graduated i went to the navy. well i did three years in the navy (2000-2003)and got to see different parts of the world. i got to see Hawaii Australia, Hung Kong, Dubai, and different parts of the united states. On this journey i got lost in the world but eventually found my way back. i was a cook but i tried to become a journalist. it seems like the powers over me did not want me to become a journalist so it never happen. after i got frustrated with the military. i had got tired of the way the leaders was running us. so of course i rebelled. fortunately for me i was able to walk out with general under honorable conditions. when i got out i went back to New Orleans and nothing was never the same since. eventually i went to Remington college in New Orleans and was going to get a associate in graphic design and then hurricane Katrina was on the way. Me and my family packed and we moved out here to Houston Texas.

I'm now at the University of Houston-downtown pursuing a degree in business management. one day i hope to have my own magazine or/and newspaper and eventually start my own movie company and do inspirational movies, or provide a better channel for black people beside BET. i am reading a lot of books know. I'm on the information daily. I'm on a quest to get mind, body, soul, and spirit together for the most high. i do not claim no religion because now i follow factology. i feel like earth is college or a school for the human race. I'm am in what is called "earth school." through trial and error i was able to grow a little more. these or some of the authors i am reading or will read: Dr. Malachi z. york, Elijah Muhammad, Anthony T. Browder, Michael Porter, Akil, Naim Akbar, Zecharia Sitchin, David Ike, and David Hatcher Childress.

i hope i can still write for one of your publications or help in any way i can. well you know i once called my self philosophy when i was writing. i still fill like that tittle is mine. but i use a new tittle/name Ba Atun Hotep.

peace, love, and happiness Ba Atun Hotep

i would like to end this with a prayer i use and everybody else should use:

I am in the love of All. and All love is in me. I am a part of All. and All is a part of me. I am one with All. and All is one with me I can succeed as part of All. and fail as an individual I can be that I wish in All. as long as my wish is to stay in all. I am never alone. All is, I am. All can, I can. All does, I do.
