Information icon Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. OhNoitsJamie Talk 16:58, 23 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Ok, sorry, i didn't know. I thought it was best to "site references" in the references section. The link i shared was in support of the history i was showing. Are you able to undelete all the changes i did today? It's not a lot, but it took my some time. AstrosniksCollector (talk) 17:05, 23 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
Your changes were removed because they were not supported by reliable sources. OhNoitsJamie Talk 17:22, 23 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
That's what i was trying to do with the reference that i put on the page, and then you said "Please do not add inappropriate external links" i understand what a jerk it makes me sound like to say this, but i am the predominate Astrosniks authority in the world. I was just building the page out slowly and piece by piece AstrosniksCollector (talk) 18:08, 23 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
Claims of being an authority in a topic does not override our requirements for reliable sources. A personal site such as "thecursedcountry" clearly doesn't meet our WP:RS guidelines. OhNoitsJamie Talk 18:11, 23 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
I understand. So the reason i'm trying to create a better Astrosniks page on Wikipedia is because half of the information on there is wrong right now, and there's really no "official" info for Astrosniks as they are a 45 year old toy that most have forgotten. So sadly, "CursedCountry" is about as official as it gets. How does one create a wikipedia for an item that has no official pages due to age/obscurity? AstrosniksCollector (talk) 18:21, 23 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
One doesn't if there is no reliable source to support the material. Fandom type wikis are more appropriate for that sort of material. OhNoitsJamie Talk 18:23, 23 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
So if i go and create a fandom type wiki for Astrosniks, would that then be able to be used as an official source? Half of the current wikipedia Astrosniks page is from me anyway, so i don't know... maybe that should be deleted too AstrosniksCollector (talk) 18:26, 23 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
No, Fandom pages are most definitely not WP:RS. What I'm saying is that your original research is not appropriate for Wikipedia. OhNoitsJamie Talk 18:28, 23 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
Ok. i mean respectfully, i disagree, but you have power, and i do not, so thank you for your instruction and time. AstrosniksCollector (talk) 18:29, 23 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
