Speedy deletion nomination of Arain hodges edit

A tag has been placed on Arain hodges requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. ... richi (hello) 00:29, 16 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Arain hodges edit

A tag has been placed on Arain hodges requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

February 2010 edit

You should wait for others to write an article about subjects in which you are personally involved, as you did at User talk:Arain11. This applies to articles about you, your achievements, your band, your business, your publications, your website, your relatives, and any other possible conflict of interest.

Creating an article about yourself is strongly discouraged. If you create such an article, it might be listed on articles for deletion. Deletion is not certain, but many feel strongly that you should not start articles about yourself. This is because independent creation encourages independent validation of both significance and verifiability. All edits to articles must conform to Wikipedia:No original research, Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, and Wikipedia:Verifiability.

If you are not "notable" under Wikipedia guidelines, creating an article about yourself may violate the policy that Wikipedia is not a personal webspace provider and would thus qualify for speedy deletion. If your achievements, etc., are verifiable and genuinely notable, and thus suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later. (See Wikipedia:Wikipedians with articles.) Thank you. E Wing (talk) 23:01, 13 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, but at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Reggie Bush, did not appear to be constructive and has been automatically reverted by ClueBot.

  • Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Note that human editors do monitor recent changes to Wikipedia articles, and administrators have the ability to block users from editing if they repeatedly engage in vandalism.
  • Cluebot produces very few false positives, but it does happen. If you believe the change you made should not have been detected as unconstructive, please report it here, remove this warning from your talk page, and then make the edit again.
  • The following is the log entry regarding this warning: Reggie Bush was changed by Arain11 (u) (t) making a minor change adding "!!!" on 2010-04-06T23:06:24+00:00 . Thank you. ClueBot (talk) 23:06, 6 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

May 2010 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia! I am glad to see you are interested in discussing a topic. However, as a general rule, talk pages such as Talk:Gabourey Sidibe are for discussion related to improving the article, not general discussion about the topic. If you have specific questions about certain topics, consider visiting our reference desk and asking them there instead of on article talk pages. Thank you. Your recent edits edit

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button   located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 20:32, 8 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. Wikipedia is not a free web host, and is not to be used as a playground or a social networking site. JamesBWatson (talk) 23:31, 8 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hello! :) edit

It's good to see some younger people editing Wikipedia. (I'm in my second year of high school.) I saw the message you left this user, and I'd just like to say a couple of things.

  1. No one's trying to be mean to you. We all try really hard to make Wikipedia good, and sometimes when we do that we forget that people are important too. If anyone has hurt your feelings, it's by accident and I apologise for that.
  2. The exciting thing about Wikipedia is that kids like you and me can edit it, and help make the world better, so poor people don't have to buy books to find out information.

If you want to come aboard and join us, feel free. You can get adopted by a more experienced user who will help teach you what to do. There's lots to do on Wikipedia. My little sister (who's your age) goes around making redirects and linking pages. I write articles for the Simple English Wikipedia, a Wikipedia made specially for kids and people learning English. You might like to try out editing there, if this Wikipedia is a bit big and there's too many people to get to know.

Either way, I hope you stay on and enjoy editing Wikipedia! If you ever need help, do ask me on my talk page. :) Cheers, {{Sonia|talk|simple}} 00:56, 13 May 2010 (UTC)Reply
