Hello! Aharon Mathews, you are invited to the Teahouse, a forum on Wikipedia for new editors to ask questions about editing Wikipedia, and get support from peers and experienced editors. Please join us! benzband (talk) 15:40, 8 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

I am completely sorry but wikipedia has deleted my page and that is why i am unable to give the link but i request with the utmost humbleness to please unblock me from editing it is of the utmost importance that i get unblocked i will agree to the terms of use passed by the wikipedia communtiy Aharon Mathews (talk) 16:29, 8 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

If you cannot provide a link then please tell us the name of this page that you say was deleted. As for being blocked, see Special:Log/Aharon Mathews and Special:BlockList : you are not blocked. Maybe you mean your IP address is blocked? Could you please explain further because i can't make muck of what you are trying to say. Cheers, benzband (talk) 17:15, 8 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
I've just checked your contributions, and I can find no deleted article. (As an admin, I can see deleted things which you can't.) If you give us the title you used, I or another admin should be able to trace it. However, I would wish to make it clear that Wikipedia is not the place for making an article about your best friend (or your worst enemy, either). Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia, and we have rules about new articles, and they must be about subjects that are notable. I would ask you to post any message you are getting if you get one saying you can't edit. I can't see a block on this account. Or were you using a different one? {{Help me}} First of all i want to thank you so much for looking into the matter. the subject name which i am making is FURA. Another person has made the page but he says he got blocked because wikipedia blocked him for copyrighting. so i started making it in his proxy server as i coudnt get internet in my house. When they said that i was blocked they didnt say they blocked my account but my proxy server. Can u please make sure that i continue editing because it is he who has done the mistake and not me. If u want further details on the issue please reply and i would be delighted to answer YOURS TRULY Aharon Mathews (talk) 01:47, 9 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Please read Wikipedia:PROXY - it is (normally) not allowed to edit wikipedia through proxy servers. Either don't use any proxy server (for what do you need a proxy?) or request the additional userright 'IP block exemption'. Regards, mabdul 10:37, 9 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

I am not exaggerating but i am telling u that when i got blocked it was clearly stated that i was using the same IP address as i said before i coudnt get internet in my house. i do not know much about internet based applications but i assure u that i have not done anything wrong and i am requesting u to please clear the block and i will make sure that person who copyrighted wont even have a glance at the computer YOURS TRULY Aharon Mathews (talk) 10:44, 9 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

This account is not blocked directly, and has never been blocked. To see whether you are caught in some other kind of block, please try to edit the WP:Sandbox. If you can edit it, you are not blocked. If you cannot edit it, please copy here the exact message that you get.
Regarding your deleted article, this account has never submitted an article, or made any edits except to this talk page. There has never been an article FURA. If you cannot tell us the exact title of the deleted article, or the username of the account that made it, we cannot help.
As you were told above, Wikipedia is not a place to write about your best friend: it is a project to build an encyclopedia, and article subjects have to be WP:Notable. Before trying again, read WP:Your first article carefully: it tells you what you need to do to make an article that will not be deleted. JohnCD (talk) 11:34, 9 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

The IP address that you are currently using has been blocked because it is believed to be an open proxy. To prevent abuse, these proxies may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. If you believe you are not running an open proxy, the most likely cause is that another customer from your ISP who was previously assigned this IP address was running an open proxy. If this is the case, please request to be unblocked using the template, or request administrator attention using and indicate you are caught by an open proxy block. More rarely, your network equipment or that of your service provider may be misconfigured or compromised by malicious software . In some cases, this can be remedied by logging into the secure server. Speedy deletion nomination of Ajmal abdul rahiman edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Ajmal abdul rahiman requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. I am very sad to say that my page has been deleted. I have read the terms of use and and the article A7 but i will have to tell that the person whom i am writing about is a very talented and a good singer across all the GCC countries and all around the UAE. He is a well renowned singer and a talented musician. I hope that the wikipedia communtity takes care of the issue very seriously and i will repect and follow the terms of use laid down by the WIKIPEDIA COMMUNITY.If you want proof that he is famous and make my words exactly clear follow the link below: http://gulfnews.com/news/gulf/uae/general/uae-youth-join-campaign-against-rebel-1.997579 Yours TRULY Aharon Mathews (talk) 19:55, 9 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Firstly, you didn't say which of your now-deleted articles you're referring to, so I looked at the page you linked. I don't see anything on there about a singer or musician. Secondly, you never said what it was you were asking for help with—if you have a specific question, please ask it! DoriTalkContribs 01:10, 10 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Sorry for the inconvinience that i created.Actually why did wikipedia delete my page because i wrote about a singer FURA. If you want to know more about him please followthe link below: http://www.highbeam.com/doc/1G1-281362604.html please accept this link because it clearly tells about the singer which i am making so please allow me by making me create the article. THNQ so much for the added support and concern.

I'll tell you why it was reverted - not actually deleted - if it is the thing I think it is, and if you did the editing as Furadxb and not using this account name. It was because the text appeared to be a copyright violation (of http://www.reverbnation.com/furafreezy amongst others) which is not allowed on Wikipedia. Please see WP:COPYVIO. Apart from that, there was no indication of notability (see WP:BAND), it was promotional in tone (WP:SPAM and WP:NPOV, And It Was Written Like This, Which Is Not the way we do things here. We want things to be easily read, and that style, while it may be fashionable in certain circles, is not fashionable or used here because it slows down the reading. I would warn you that using more than one account is not allowed (except for certain purposes). I wouldn't advise trying to get the article back, until it complies with all those policies, and is referenced to comply with WP:RS - reliable independent sources. Not blogs, forums, wikis, reverbnation, YouTube, Facebook, the subject's own site, the subject's brother's site and so on. The highbeam link doesn't look to be anything much different to what I've already seen. Peridon (talk) 17:23, 10 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

First of all if u just read through my user talk you will find that I was affected by another perso who copyrighted the same subject and i have cleared it with the ADMINS and i was innocent at that time.He has been subjected to violation of copyrighting and not me. I was an innocent person in the collateral damage. And i will write the style and the information in a fashionable way and i am very thankful for your required help and concern. I will give the nessecary reliable links and the nesscary details to you. please allow me to publish my article because i am doing this for a good reason and i just want everyone to know that there is someone in UAE who supportes the movement KONY 2012. Aharon Mathews (talk) 17:56, 10 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Get the references first before you do anything. And read WP:BAND. There would be no point in trying to get the last version back up. It would be deleted as promotion or for lack of notability. You don't have to keep putting fresh helpme tags on - one does enough, and there are probably a few people watching this page. If you don't get an answer for a couple of days, put one on with your question. Peridon (talk) 18:21, 10 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
That is good advice from Peridon. Forget about the previous version, part of it is copyright, and the rest is written in much too promotional a style. What you should do now is:
  • Read WP:Your first article carefully. There is a lot of good advice there about how to make an article that will not be deleted.
  • Read WP:Notability and WP:MUSICBIO. To show notability needs references that show "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." Read WP:42 to see what that means. Think hard about that, because if he is not notable yet, you will just be wasting your time and effort. Read WP:UPANDCOMING.
  • Then, if you want to go ahead, make a draft article in your userspace. To do that, go to Help:Userspace draft and fill in the name of your article. That will make a page for you to work in, with a button to submit it to WP:Articles for creation when it is ready.
  • Don't write like an advertisement. Don't say things like "Talent That Would Amaze Everyone" and "The Most Talented Kid To Come Out From Dubai" Anything like that will be deleted at once. Those are opinions - an encyclopedia article should have just plain facts, neutrally stated, backed up by reliable sources.

  • (edit conflict) Aharon, the article was deleted due to a failure to credibly indicate how and/or why the subject was important and/or significant. While notability is essential to remain, the A7 criteria correlates to importance and significance, rather than notability. This threshold may be met by indicating any honors, awards, charts, or anything of significance that indicates why the subject is important. How/Why is the subject worthy of recognition? You have been provided with quite a bit of information on this talkpage about how to establish a viable encyclopedic article for a musician and/or band. Have you been able to read this information yet? If not, a review would serve to answer many of your questions. I would also recommend directly contacting the administrator who deleted the article based on the A7 criteria for speedy deletion. The editor may be reached at User talk:Ohnoitsjamie. i have been making the article about 10 times and alll the time wikipedia has deleted. Fair enough. There are plenty of free sites like MySpace and Facebook. Others like reverbnation and last.fm seem to use material supplied by the subjects, but I don't know how they work. So far as I know, none of them have the policies that we have about notability. You see, Wikipedia is not a directory for advertising businesses or performers, nor is it a social networking site where people get to know each other and chat. This is an encyclopaedia, and we record things of note - by our standards of what is of note. We have tried to explain this to you, but you seem to think that you know our rules better than we do. I'm sorry, but you don't. Peridon (talk) 10:16, 12 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
  • Threats to leave if you don't get your own way are pointless. If the subject of the article meets Wikipedia's notability guidelines and it is supported by reliable sources it will be kept, and if it doesn't it will probably be deleted again - it really is as simple as that. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 12:05, 12 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

I am completely sorry for any inconvienience that i have made. But i was frustrated to tell you all this but how to cite the sources like for each and every line i have to cite the sources or for the entire article a common source will do. I am awating your immediate reply. YOURS TRULY Aharon Mathews (talk) 18:29, 12 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

I'm sorry to have to say this, but there isn't enough in your article to show notability - there's nothing there to need referencing. For a musician, the main thing is our policy WP:BAND. Read that. The Khaleej Times reference is good, but you need more than one reference - three separate ones at least in reliable independent sources. That means independent of the subject, like the KT is. Read WP:RS. The Gulf Times one is no good because there are thousands of people in the Kony campaign, and the article is mainly about the campaign. From what I can see, your subject is what we call 'up-and-coming'. We don't have articles about the 'up-and-coming', because many of them don't go any further. We wait until they are well established. For your article, it is too soon. He may be a very good performer, but there are many good performers who don't get articles. Some bad performers do get articles, because they are famous for being bad. Wikipedia is not the place for helping someone to become famous. They have to do that by themselves. Peridon (talk) 09:11, 13 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Do not feel sorry for what u said you ARE JUST DOING YOUR WORK IN A TRUTHFUL WAY but then i will try my best to create an article with many reliable resources and i will make sure that it is sufficient. But i still didnt get the answer to my question:How to cite the sources like for each and every line i have to cite the sources or for the entire article a common source will do? I thank you Peridon for giving me the tip and i will try my best to make a better article. YOURS TRULY Aharon Mathews (talk) 11:44, 13 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

This time, do it at User:Aharon Mathews/DRAFT and just put the references at the end as a list. When you've done that, and made sure that you have written in a neutral style (that is, no words like 'unique' or 'amazing', or things like 'follow him on Twitter'), ask any of us to look at it. If you post it straight into article space, it may get deleted. Click on the link above and you will be working in your userspace. It should be safe there. I do ask you to believe us if we tell you that it isn't suitable. We've been working here (as volunteers) for a long time, and we do know what fits the rules. If we say it's too soon, then we probably are right. Peridon (talk) 15:16, 13 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
References are needed for two reasons: (a) to confirm what an article says, because of the WP:Verifiability policy, and (b) to establish WP:Notability. One reference can be enough for (a), if it confirms all the claims in the article, but more than one is needed to show notability - see WP:42. Read again the standard in WP:MUSICBIO - unless you can show that he meets that, the article will not be accepted. I seriously advise you not to put too much effort into this, because nothing you have written so far suggests to me that he has (yet) reached the standard required. Winning local talent contests is not enough. Please read Wikipedia:No amount of editing can overcome a lack of notability. JohnCD (talk) 17:19, 13 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

No it is not, you cannot write an autobiography on yourself as it is strongly discouraged. See Wikipedia:Autobiography guideline, read it and understand it. You are otherwise always welcome to contribute to Wikipedia. Thank you. TheGeneralUser (talk) 19:56, 13 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
@Aharon Check what I did: I tagged many statements which need to be cited since it totally violates WP:BLP. Moreover take a look at WP:CHEATSHEET. Regards, mabdul 20:03, 13 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
I don't think it's an autobio, Aharon says higher up he made it "for my best friend" which does give some WP:COI concern; but Aharon, the problem is still that there is nothing there to show that he is anywhere near to meeting the WP:MUSICBIO requirement. He has won some local talent shows and featured in one newspaper article - that is not enough for a Wikipedia article. JohnCD (talk) 21:59, 13 May 2012 (UTC)Reply
For a second there i thought that it was an autobiography and wrote that. But as John CD also said that you may have a conflict of interest when editing your friends article and there is even a doubt whether the person in question meets the notability guideline. So be sure to check all the things as said by me and other people before proceeding. Thanks. TheGeneralUser (talk) 20:31, 14 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hi Aharon, I am having trouble navigating this page with all the discussions going all, but I will try to help you as best I can. First, from what I can see, it looks like you are trying to write an article about Ajmal Abdul Rahiman, a musician from Dubai, and are having issues. The work you have done has been placed in User:Aharon Mathews/Ajmal Abdul Rahiman, so I hope this helps. Further to this, you need to understand the following. • WP:42 - Just good reading, it reinforces the significant coverage comment I made above.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask me here, or on my talk page, and I will answer as bet as I can. Cheers, --kelapstick(bainuu) 11:54, 15 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Fura AjmalaR.jpg edit

A tag has been placed on File:Fura AjmalaR.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. mabdul 12:56, 17 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

A tag has been placed on File:Fura Ajmal aR.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. {{Help me-working}} Thank you for making me aware of the matter. But didnt I give one link on the album which he made Blood Clot War. I will give you the link If that is not enough then I will give another link which will satisfy the notability of the particular subject I am writing on. Heres the link:[1] YOURS TRULY Aharon Mathews (talk) 14:27, 25 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

There is no data on who published the album Blood Clot War. If it was self-published by the artist himself that is not usually considered to be evidence of notability. Anyone can publish their own work, and that gives no evidence of an audience. Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 18:39, 25 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Mr. EdJohnston What you said was not appropiate. He didnt publish the article,The particular studio in which he was recording it made the album. If you read the bio on the side u will find that he did not even publish it. His friends and all the studio supervisors made the album and he was only involved in the singing of the songs in the album. After the album was released only he came to know that the album was made.So please just publish my article because I have given the nessecary links and all the other informations.Thank you YOURS TRULY Aharon Mathews (talk) 10:51, 30 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

To all the Admins of wikipedia community I am asking U. Why did my article get rejected. I have given enough links and enough information for the aricle to be posted. I have read the music notability of the wikiepdia terms of use. I have provided the nessecary links to the article and the particular citations and the particular subheading I have given the nessecary links and the nessecaryinformation about the awards and the prizes of the particular subject I have been writing on. I need the wikipedia community to ensure the notability of the article. YOURS TRULY Aharon Mathews (talk) 15:05, 5 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hello Aharon Mathews, i'll give you some basic details on this. First of all, it is not your article. Articles do not belong to any writer or contributor or anyone else. The Administrator's did not reject the article so no need to blame them or anyone else. Almost everyone here is a volunteer user in which some of them review the articles to see that those articles are fit for Wikipedia or not, some pass and some don't. Re-read the comments which the different reviewers have left on the AFC article submission. The said subject (person) simply cannot be proved notable by the given sources and references. And if you just here on Wikipedia for this sole purpose to create your friend's article, then this might not be the place you are looking for. Try other Wikipedia:Alternative outlets or write an online blog. Thanks. TheGeneralUser (talk) 17:00, 5 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
TheGeneralUser and I had an edit conflict, I also replied, below:
Hi there, thanks for reaching out! Before asking for help, please read the comments that the reviewer(s) left on your article, located at Wikipedia_talk:Articles_for_creation/Ajmal_Abdul_Rahiman. If after reading their comments you still don't understand, then please send me a message on my talk page and I'll try to assist you in any way I can. Thanks! Speedy deletion nomination of Fura Ajmal Abdul Rahiman edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Fura Ajmal Abdul Rahiman requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia.

If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Warning - time to accept what everyone is telling you edit

Aharon, it is time for you to accept what so many people have now told you: your friend simply does not meet Wikipedia's WP:Notability standard. Rewriting and resubmitting the article will not change that - please read Wikipedia:No amount of editing can overcome a lack of notability. You are wasting your time and ours. There are plenty of sites like Myspace where you can write about him, but if you persist here your activity may soon be perceived as disruptive. JohnCD (talk) 21:54, 7 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Now I am not going to write snything about him. I am going to write about him in Twitter I won't waste my time and Urs also So don't worry if ever I make a article I am going to make it in some other site. I have been busy that's why I could'nt read what others were telling me. Tell all of them that I am sorry and hope that I don't mae the mistake again. Yours Truly Aharon Mathews (talk) 14:44, 8 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

I plan on making another article in wikipedia itself with the same subject named Fura. But this time I am going to make him notable in such a wayy that all the site he is listed in is notable all over the world. So on that terms can I make the new article and if the other admins want they can delete the other one. But I am tellin U that U will not be disappointed and I will try my best to make the article notable enough. YOUR TRULY Aharon Mathews (talk) 14:59, 8 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Fantastic! Once you write the article, consider submitting it to WP:AfC for an experienced editor to review it before publishing it on Wikipedia. :) Theopolisme TALK 15:39, 8 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
I really advise you not to make another article about the same subject. What we have been trying to tell you is that if the subject is not notable, there is nothing you can do that will "make the article notable enough". JohnCD (talk) 22:09, 8 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
By the way: you simply can improve the existing AfC submission and resubmit it. Although I highly doubt that it won't get accepted if you neither read the decline reasons (for what was I writing some custom ones?) nor addressing the stuff marked in the text or providing any new useful references? As JohnCD already said: YOu won't have luck with that article... If you really want to help the encyclopedia, then either go to twitter, facebook, etc. and do write about him there or try to write about something completely different here. (best improving existing content!) Regards, mabdul 00:16, 9 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Please do not misunderstand I am not improving the existing article that is why I mentioned before that the admins can delete the existing one if they want to and please just give me a chance to make the article. Please just give me a chance to make an article by posting another this time by chnging the details and everything. Please do give me a chance Mabdul and I will not make you regret this,Please. YOURS TRULY Aharon Mathews (talk) 15:54, 10 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

File permission problem with File:Fura Ajmal aR.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Fura Ajmal aR.jpg, which you've sourced to Facebook. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 11:25, 25 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
