@LuK3: I think 201226nick has potential to be a good contributor to Wikipedia. I urge you to reconsider your block.

I have experienced much incivility even gross rudeness by long-time editors and such behavior for some reason is tolerated without even a reminder of the civility policy. User:201226nick has been looking for friends and placing wikilove messages and barnstars from the get go. As such, I would consider them a needed addition to the Wikipedia community. In fact I would like to recruit them for the Wikipedia:Kindness Campaign if the block is lifted, which can be on a conditional basis per WP:CONDUNBLOCK.

According to Wikimedia, Metapedianism, "is the philosophy of focusing on the internal workings of Wikimedia projects, including guidelines and policies, and the social side of the Wikimedia movement". "Metapedians are often seen as the "social gadflies" of Wikimedia projects, doing honourable work and civic duties: giving out Barnstars, having general conversations on Talk Pages." Aside from discussions related to policies and guidelines. I think lifting the morale of Wikipedia editors should be a core meta endeavour of the inner workings of the project. I kinda disagree with this. They violated WP:NOTAFORUM multiple times on multiple people's talk pages. Sure they are trying to be nice, but general chit-chat is completely against the entire purpose of Wikipedia. A new user doesn't know the rules. I noticed even a little spam in Specifico's talk. Probably not as vandalism or with intention of spamming unreasonably, but trying to get attention of the editor for a response. Given the appeal of the block, if they were warned beforehand likely they wouldn't continue doing it (although I understand that unfortunately it is common practice to just block at once in this cases). I believe that maybe with some guidance the blocked user has potential. Nothing is lost with a conditional unblock, except maybe some time blocking again in case it doesn't work, but a good editor could be gained if it works. I see more benefit than risk. I get it. I also have problems with making friends in real life. However, the issue was you chose Wikipedia as the place where you'd try and make friends which unfortunately was not the correct choice to make. That's probably for good reason, hence why I said "once you have matured a little more". For now, I suggest you stay off of Wikipedia (unless you're using it for browsing articles) for a few years and come back once you feel you have matured a little more if you are interested in editing.
