edit

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Princess Eugenie. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Martinevans123 (talk) 21:40, 15 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Ya... I currently appear to following Wikipedia policy's and reverting vandalism. Please stop vandalising.2001:569:77E2:3900:9115:BBCD:ECF5:53FB (talk) 21:41, 15 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
You're edit warring instead of discussing at the Talk page. See WP:BRD. Thanks. Martinevans123 (talk) 21:43, 15 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
I'm following Wikipedia's policies for a BLP. Please stop throwing a tantrum and admit you are totally in the wrong.2001:569:77E2:3900:9115:BBCD:ECF5:53FB (talk) 21:44, 15 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
No tantrums here, thanks. Let's just see what other editors think. Kind regards. Martinevans123 (talk) 21:46, 15 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
Hasn't it already been protected to stop you breaking policy? 2001:569:77E2:3900:9115:BBCD:ECF5:53FB (talk) 21:47, 15 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
I'm not quite sure why that has happened. I think you'll find it's the other way round for the Talk page. Martinevans123 (talk) 21:49, 15 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
Nope... Nope. Nopers! Nopity-nope-nope-noperson! The page definitely still has "of York" upon it. (nd if it doesn't, I'll just complain non-stop till it does)2001:569:77E2:3900:9115:BBCD:ECF5:53FB (talk) 21:54, 15 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
You need to take any complaints, whether "non-stop" or not, to Talk:Princess Eugenie. Thanks. Martinevans123 (talk) 22:00, 15 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
Uhm... I've been doing that and you know it. Please stop showing off your stupidity.2001:569:77E2:3900:9115:BBCD:ECF5:53FB (talk) 22:16, 15 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
I'm merely suggesting that the articleTalk page is the best place to discuss something. I'm not quite sure why you've now started on personal attacks. I reverted two of your edits because I though you were mistaken and hadn't discussed it at the article Talk page. That's about the size of it. You seem to have jumped in at the deep end over nothing. Martinevans123 (talk) 22:23, 15 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
YOU REVERTED BECAUSE YOU THOUGHT YOU WERE SMART... YOU'RE NOT!

THAT'S WHY YOU NEVER ASKED FOR A VALID SOURCE. LIKE WIKIPEDIA DEMANDS. YOU'RE COVERING YOUR TRACKS. YOU'RE DUMB.2001:569:77E2:3900:9115:BBCD:ECF5:53FB (talk) 22:26, 15 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

I see. Thanks for the advice there. I'll be sure to take it on board. How is the weather in Vancouver this time of year? So nice to have been able to chat. Kindest regards. Martinevans123 (talk) 22:30, 15 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Your cut and paste page move has been reversed

edit

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Princess Eugenie a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Princess Eugenie of York. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 10:56, 16 October 2018 (UTC)Reply
