Occupation of Latvia

edit

I noticed your new article on the Occupation of Latvia by Nazi Germany, which I think is an excellent beginning; the thing is that some of us recently decided to merge an article on "Baigais gads" into the article Occupation of Latvia 1940-1945, which is intended to cover the 1940 occupation, the Nazi occupation from 1941, and the reoccupation by the Soviets 1944-45. I am not yet proposing a merger on your article page, since maybe you don't think it is a good idea to cover these subjects in a single article. What do you think? --Pēteris Cedriņš 16:11, 4 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

I think there should be 2 different articles because both of them are very wide subjects.--£ 17:15, 4 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Okay. Then perhaps the best thing would be to make one article that gives an overview of the period and links to separate articles. --Pēteris Cedriņš 17:19, 4 March 2006 (UTC)Reply
Yea, maybe.--£ 17:21, 4 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hi! I've seen you've collaborated to several articles about history of WW2. I have just updated with some new material the article about Armistice of Italy of SEptember 8, 1943. As my mother language is not English, it needs some cleanup... Can you lend some help? Thank in advance e good work from Attilio

License tagging for Image:Ex-Pistols-Denial.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Ex-Pistols-Denial.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 15:06, 21 July 2006 (UTC)

Image tagging for Image:Ex-Pistols.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Ex-Pistols.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

Asko Künnap

edit

Asko Künnap has been proposed for deletion. An editor felt this person might not be notable enough for an article. Please review Wikipedia:Notability (people) for the relevant guidelines. If you can improve the article to address these concerns, please do so.

If no one objects to the deletion within five days by removing the "prod" template, the article may be deleted without further discussion. If you remove the prod template, the article will not be deleted, but if an editor is still not satisfied that it meets Wikipedia guidelines, it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Ex-Pistols.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Ex-Pistols.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 19:47, 13 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
