Wikipedia is an important learning and sharing tool. In an assignment for Biol 15 (Winter Study course at Williams College), I will be researching and publishing (so to speak) for general knowledge the purpose and results of the WAVE study (Williams Active-Q Validation Experiment), a project on physical activity with a group of students from my class. Wikipedia is the ideal social media tool to share serious information on any subject.
As a student, I chose to take Biol 15 because there are very few Epidemiology courses offered at Williams. This class is also a nice way of continuing my interest in biology over the short winter term, and learning a new application of the subject. I am considering pre-med in my future and I think this class will ultimately help me decide what I want to accomplish here at Williams.
A few topics of my personal interest are crew, music, sailing, and turtles.
