Mary Penelope Aubrey-Fletcher, 8th Baroness Braye (born 28 September 1941) is an English peeress. Throughout her lifetime, she has converted her family residence, Stanford Hall,[1] into a tourist attraction.[2]

Life and career

Mary Penelope Aubrey-Fletcher was born on 28 September 1941 to Thomas Adrian Verney-Cave, later the 7th Baron Braye,[3] and Dorothea Catherine.[4][5][6]

Firstly, of course, the obvious one is finance. We need the money to help run the plaec, but we also feel that we have something here which should be shared, something which everyone should have a chance of seeing.

Aubrey-Fletcher became a member of the House of Lords on 19 December 1985, and joined the Conservative Party on 9 April 1986.[7]

Aubrey-Fletcher was a speaker at an anti-abortion meeting, alongside David Alton, where five people were arrested when abortion rights activists stormed the meeting.[8]
