Week Task Time
In the first session, we were introduced to the German and the English Wikipedia. We also learned how to edit an article 90 minutes in class + 30 minutes at home
the main task of the second session was to reread our translations on the Jonathan Garfinkel Article, to check, if our translations were correct and coherent. 90 minutes in class + 30 minutes at home I found it particularly difficult not to stick to the direct translations of the words from German into English only, but to mainly look at the meanings of the words in the specific context in order to find a fitting translation.
We started working on the Australian pitcher plant article. 90 minutes in class + 0 minutes at home The most difficult aspect about this article was to find the fitting scientific terminology, as the article only used technical terms for the Australian pitcher plant and its characteristics
In the forth session, we finished the Jonathan Garfinkel text and published it. Moreover, we edited the links. 90 minutes in class + 30 minutes at home As I am not really a technically savvy person, I found it particularly hard to understand the rules for inserting links into articles correctly. I found it difficult to understand, why certain links were red, instead of blue and how to solve the underlying problems.
Class didn’t take place, due to illness. I still kept on working on Kristo Šagor, together with Paul Only working at home No particular difficulties, however still trying to fully understand all aspects of editing articles on Wikipedia.

In week 7, we continued working on our articles and I started editing my links in the article. Moreover, I learned, how to insert the link to the Wikipedia article that I’m currently translating. 90 minutes in class + 30 minutes at home I particularly find it pretty difficult to understand the technical rules for editing Wikipedia articles, such as inserting the link to my article on my user page, or to edit links that are red and find a solution.
