A Wikipedia Terms of Use amendment is currently being discussed on the topic of disclosing paid editing. I believe such disclosures are a fair thing to do and I would like to already declare the following:
- I am currently working for the Department of Communication (DoC), of the European Southern Observatory. DoC is in charge of communicating for ESO, ESA/Hubble and the IAU.
- As a not for profit organisation that releases information, images and videos under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 License, we strive to make this educational material available to people all around the world. We believe our mission is compatible with that of Wikipedia because it is helping advancing human knowledge in the areas of space, astronomy, physics and technology.
- We strive to respect Wikipedia's rules when adding material, trying to be as neutral and informative as possible.
