Uruguay in South America

All matches took place in Montevideo, Uruguay. Two stadiums have been used: Estadio Centenario and Estadio Campeón del Siglo.

The Estadio Centenario was purposely built for the 1930 FIFA World Cup, and has hosted the 1930 final and all the matches of the 1980 Mundialito. The Estadio Campeón del Siglo opened in 2016, and it was, together with the Estadio Centenario, on the list of potential hosts for the 2030 FIFA World Cup, to which Uruguay has presented a bid.
