Flyview is Hans E Berg. I am an experienced scientist in orthopaedic surgery, space medicine, biomechanics, exercise physiology and muscle atrophy due to inactivity, age or trauma. In my early academic years I invented a modernized strength training method using flywheels (US Patent 5.242.351A, 1993). The original intention was to develop advanced strength training equipment for astronauts. We conducted several scientific studies with the final aim to counteract muscle atrophy in astronauts during long-term human spaceflight. For some years (1990-2017) I also developed and marketed equipment for sports and rehab under the brand YoYo Technology-nHance. Currently I have no commercial ties with that company, and receive no external funding for writing or promoting flywheel exercise. However, I am still active in research to develop exercise equipment for Mars missions as a senior researcher with Karolinska Institutet and the Royal School of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden, and therefore receive funding for such studies. For the time being I am active in editing a tentative WP search word Flywheel exercise that should describe the development of modern flywheel traing for space, sport and rehabilitation. I have also started minor editing to help improve Wiki articles within my expertise; starting with resistance training, muscle atrophy and space medicine. Maybe in the future I can contribute to Wikipedia in fracture orthopaedics and trauma.
