Right now I am doing a lot of reading in the area of medieval history and more specifically wikipedia's biographical content. Very recently I began to do minor edits along the way.

I found I had to do this because I am at heart a bit of a pedant. So I fix typos, punctuation and other minor errors. I also make minor changes where pages have have been human translated and where the english is just not quite right for a native english speaker. When in doubt I do not make changes but will approach the author / editor to query. (When I come across machine translations I fume.)

From time to time I spot more substantive problems with pages; I would like to make a contribution by fixing these when I can but lack the confidence and wiki know-how at the moment (linking, renaming etc). I'm placing an 'adopt me' request here in the hope that there'll be someone out there willing and able to help me find my feet. I'm in the UK and generally on here late afternoons and evenings (but on holiday this week, wrapping my brain around the huge volume of policy and guideline material).
