Can somebody change the first paragraph?[edit]edit
I'd like the first paragraph to be changed to
Minecraft is a sandbox video game originally created by Swedish programmer Markus "Notch" Persson and later developed and published by Mojang. The creative and building aspects of Minecraft enable players to build constructions out of textured cubes in a 3Dprocedurally generated world. Other activities in the game include exploration, resource gathering, crafting, and combat. Multiple gameplay modes are available, including survival mode where the player must acquire resources to build the world and maintain health, a creative mode where players have unlimited resources to build with and the ability to fly, an adventure mode where players can play custom maps created by other players, and a spectator mode where players can fly around and clip through blocks, but cannot place or destroy any. The players can join multiplayerservers, which are often customized using plug-ins. Some of these servers are more PVP orientated, some involve aspects of Survival, Creative and Adventure mode, some have a built in economy, and some of them contain built in mini games. The PC version of the game is renowned for its third-party mods, which can add, but are not limited to adding, various new items, characters, worlds, and quests to the game.

The TLD field in the infobox currently just shows ".ie". Should ".uk" be added (possibly with a footnote) or should the field just be removed? It seems a bit strange to have, why not also "drives on the..." and the rest of the specifics you get in a country infobox? --Inops (talk) 15:02, 10 June 2016 (UTC)
As this is not a country article it would be better to remove the TLD unless it has been allocated to the island. For the same reason it is not a country article the drives on x side is not needed. MilborneOne (talk) 15:54, 10 June 2016 (UTC)
The status of .ie is a bit unclear as it was allocated to the island rather than the country and though the Irish government has enacted a law to control .ie it has never actually done anything about it. I agree with the removal from this article though, it is better left out of a geographical article. Funny things happened when the TLD's were first being set up, Great Britain was going to be .gb but of course they used .uk to stand for the country instead. Dmcq (talk) 19:11, 10 June 2016 (UTC)

I would say unclear rather than specifically geographical. It was set up originally as geographical and that has proven useful with people in Northern Ireland who wish to use the domain. What is the 'though' about? Dmcq (talk) 19:53, 10 June 2016 (UTC)

A quote from the Northern Ireland section: "Along with England, Wales and Scotland, Northern Ireland forms one of the three separate legal jurisdictions of the UK". A previous talk paragraph above also addresses this, but unfortunately confusion still reigns. Every county and civil parish is a "legal jurisdiction"! I believe Wales and England are a single "legal jurisdiction" in that they share all the same laws whereas Northern Ireland and Scotland have partially separate legal systems.Canterbury Tailtalk 22:39, 30 July 2016 (UTC)
I think they are asking why we aren't also stating that Northern Ireland is one of four countries of the UK, which is more significant. This is probably because some don't like to describe Northern Ireland as a country. But it should be mentioned in some way. Rob984 (talk) 23:40, 30 July 2016 (UTC)

There seems to be a bit of a problem here with chronology. This article is supposed to be on the Republic (509-27 BC), but the author mentions writers such as Juvenal and Persius, who wrote later.

I'm not sure I understand your question. A provincia was at first an assignment or mission within which a commander or magistrate was authorized to act, not a territory in our sense of the word "province". A proconsul might receive as his assignment the provincia of conducting a war in Gallic territories of northern Italy. Gallia included Cisalpine Gaul. If you mean specifically the article Roman Republican governors of Gaul, then you should read the article to see what its relevance is. But the introduction might answer your question. I noticed that the Education and Language section somewhat meanders off topic. At one point it begins talking about how Vulgar Latin gradually transformed into the Romance languages, and then tacks on an explanation on the origin of English. While all of this is interesting, I'm not sure if it fits within the scope of the article. Not sure where you're reading "Plebeian Tribunal" in this article; there's "Tribunate", of course (many times over), meaning the appointment or office of "Tribune" as elected representative of the Plebeian Council. Haploidavey (talk) 11:10, 11 February 2016 (UTC)
