- Hi mate, "oversaw" in isolation could be taken as suggesting he was solely responsible, whereas the wording used in the article and its source, which talks about him belonging to a committee and having special authority to coordinate with Naval commanders, sounds a bit more like shared responsibility, so I'm wondering if the hook should be modified a tad... - ALT1 ... that Rear Admiral William R. Purnell, Brigadier General Thomas F. Farrell and Captain Deak Parsons (pictured) were the "Tinian Joint Chiefs" who coordinated the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki?
